Merry Christmas

Happy Saturday friends!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! We are sure thankful for the SUN today!! We've hit the "cold weather" status here in the PNW! Clear as clear can be, no cloud can be seen, and then BOOM 32 degrees!! Soccer in 32 degrees at 9:00 am in the morning means we only have two more games...my daughter (and me) are ready for the season to be over!!!

I've got another holiday card to share today! I used the great snowflakes from Winters Butterflies...I love the different flakes, they are so pretty!! My sentiment is from the Making Holidays Bright.

I used painters tape to mask off some stripes, and then used distress inks to make my pretty teal stripes. I inked my flakes with versamark and then embossed them with silver embossing powder. I added a bit of silver thread...and a few clear sequins.

I am loving our break from the rain, I'll take crystal clear sky and freezing weather over dark rainy weather every day of the week...maybe I was inspired by the frost we are seeing every morning...? I love this time of year!! Now, off to finish up my second post for today! I have the new Retro Sketch coming up next!!

Be Inspired Challenge!!

Morning friends!! I hope you are doing well!! Today is another TAWS Be Inspired Challenge Day!! This collection of pictures had my brain going all sorts of crazy....so many ideas!! What I finally ended up with wasn't wild or crazy...just GOLD!!

I pulled out the Making Holidays Bright set, and used the lovely trees to make a pretty gold scene...I might be stuck on my Delicata pad for a while...love that thing!! My sentiment is also from that set...
I cut a few "hills" out of cardstock and then layered them on top of my trees...which I stamped with gold ink...aren't they fun designs!? My strip of washi went down and then my top panel is on foam adhesive...so there is a little bit of dimension.

Thanks a bundle for stopping by and come play along on the challenge...it is fun to see what you will come up with from the inspiration piece!

More Christmas Cheer

Good morning friends!! I hope your week is going well!! I can't believe that We are into November...where do the days go!? I'm excited to be sharing the rest of my Cupcards To Go cards with you today! It was so fun to create these and just easy peasy to get things to go together-- that makes it so fun!!
Our Challenge this month was to make something other than a card--so I opted for one of many needed tags!! I love the awesome corrugated paper...I got some great snowflakes out of it and I love, love, love them!!! You can't see the sentiment on the tag, but it says, "the merriest of merriest!" I love that, isn't it a fun sentiment!?
I really love the stripes of stickers from MME, they are awesome!! The red and white chevron on this next card is one of them...so much fun!! And look at the cute little Santa tag...oh my!!

This last card has another of my favorite elements...the snowflake!! Isn't it awesome!? There a gazillion rubons--you'll have sentiments until next year!! I love that too!!

Hope you've picked up your kit!!! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happiest of Holidays

Hello dear ones! I'm happy to be stopping in today! We are just about in the middle of having our kitchen redone--and well, I just haven't been able to get into my stamping groove!

I don't know about you, but my stamping groove is a very necessary thing for me! It is my "therapy" and I've missed it the past couple of weeks! I cut some time out yesterday to get some stamping done, and oh it felt good! I challenged myself to make 10 holiday cards. I used only 1 patterned paper pad, "peppermint collection" from Crate Paper. I used this new MS glitter on almost every card...and I LOVE it! I used most of the same supplies just in different ways, so it was super fun for me! Most of the sentiments are from the Happiest of Holidays stamp set from PTI.

I used the damask snowflake, 1 3/4 circle dies and fabulous frames dies on this card. Oh, and my ink was pure poppy! I used the CAS(E) #7 sketch for the layout of my card too!

I hope you are doing well! Happy December 1st! Can you even believe it!? I hope you'll enjoy this 10 days of holiday cars! My birthday is this month...so there will be some...you know...FUN!

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying a great weekend! We had a great Thanksgiving with some great friends and delicious food! I love this time of year...so many wonderful memories and I love sharing those with my kids! They have their "favorite" things about Thanksgiving and that makes me so happy!

So, today is a fun GRS design team color challenge! I chose to do something I hardly ever use--color mists! I used one by smooches with a stencil...it's gold and shimmery in real life. I added one of my favorite Christmas Trees from Oh Christmas Tree. The Merry Christmas is also from that set.

I ran my red star punches through my Xyron sticker maker and then added some sparkly red glitter...love red glitter this time of year!

You can take a peek on the GRS blog to see what the challenge photograph that we were given look like! Don't you love color challenges!?

The other girls blogs are here:

You'll want to check them all out...they are so great!!

Have a wonderful finish to your holiday weekend! Take care and thanks a bundle for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends! Happy Saturday to you all! I'm just popping in today to share a bit of Christmas Cheer! I was talking with my mom yesterday and she got over 8 inches of new snow! Yes, all in one day...and it made me miss being at "my mountain home..."

So, how about a bit of Christmas cheer? The GRS design team sketch had me humming and hawing a bit this month. Then I had a quick little thought. And guess what, it fell FLAT on it's face! Nope, didn't work at all! Then this fun little snowflake "sang my name" and the rest is history!

This sweet, perfect, little snowflake is part of the Holiday Season Sampler set. Isn't it a perfect flake!? I used some pure poppy and new leaf ink...and that awesome chevron ribbon is from may arts....LOVE it!
Be sure to check in over on the GRS blog, and check out the girls great cards...you'll LOVE them!

Hope you have a great weekend...nothing like a good weekend to clean out the garage right!?

Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas to you!

So, not really quite Merry Christmas, but that's what our topic of stamping is today! Today, Cath is talking about how "Moxie Fab" several Gourmet Rubber Stamps sets are! You know, I quite agree with her on this one! (I agree with her on everything else too!)

I chose a bit of fresh and clean today. I pulled out the Circles of Christmas stamps...I think I'm in love with this wreath! There are two different wreaths in this stamp set and I love them both!

I pulled out some washi tape for a quick colorful background...love that stuff. My sentiment is from the Holiday Script stamp set. I love that set too...it's such a great collection of great sentiments! I did a few little "French Knots" on my wreath...with red and white twine.

Have a great day today friends! Take care and be sure to be "Moxie Fab" today...:)

Happy Holidays!

Hello Friends, happy Friday! I'm hosting the Weekly Recipe, over on the Groumet Rubber Stamps Blog. I went with the clean and simple route...I have decided that I REALLY love this jingle bell! It's one of the images in the new Diner's Club set, "Let's Celebrate." Isn't is super fun!? I tied it up with some twine and added a little sentiment from the Season's Greetings stamp set.

I hope you have a chance to play along with the sketch! If you'd like to add your card to the challenge, you can share you link on the GRS Facebook page!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful (productive) weekend ahead of you! I'm hoping to get those last few items crossed off my list of things to do...we'll see how that works out! Take care and be merry and bright!

A Merrry Little Christmas!

Hello friends! I know I've been absent, but 'tis the season for lots of things going on! I've been crafting and creative, but not with paper as much as other things! I wanted to share a couple of things I worked on yesterday! I've been making gifts, wrapping gifts, and really enjoying what this season has brought thus far!

I purchased a few unfished wooden pices at Hobby Lobby when I was away at Thanksgiving (I WISH I had a Hobby Lobby to frequent!!). I had them up near my desk and have been thinking about what fun things they might be used for! I saw a little "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" sign and my lightbulb turned on and here is the result! It makes me so happy!! It is housed on an easel in my kitchen and makes me smile every time I look at it!

I painted the wood white, let it dry and went to work on deciding what vinyl I wanted to use! I use my silhouette software and the "Artisan Pattern" to create the red background. Isn't that a FUN background!? I just layered the black over the red...and now am dreaming of what fun plaque I'll make next!

Next, I created one of my favorite Christmas time quotes! It is from a wonderful talk by Elder Neal A. Maxwell, one of the wonderful men that was a leader in my church. I am going to be giving several of this little tiles, along with a copy of the talk from Elder Maxwell, to several friends this season. I love this quote, and I actually my a 12x12 one for me! It's so important to remember this!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday Season! I love this time of year, and the sweet memories I have associated with it! My kids are feeling the "magic" and it makes my heart just bubble with excitement! Have a wonderful one!!

I'm hosting the GRS weekly recipe sketch tomorrow, so stay tuned!! Thanks

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well! I hope you've been had a great weekend and a good start to this week! I have to tell you, this weekend my girls and I had a completely new experience--we got food poisoning! I started to feel really wrong before I went to bed Saturday night, (after eating out...) and ended up sleeping on the floor in the bathroom that night! My little Ruby (3) came in at 2 and joined my party, then Lucy (7) came in at 5 and joined Ruby and I in all the excitement! Oh my....it was terrible! The good news, we all woke up yesterday feeling MUCH better, a little weak, but MUCH improved! What a crazy weekend it tuned out to be!! I hope you had a better one!

I have a little fun to share--another little fun Stick Chick! She is all sorts of glitified...and her tree is also red fluffed! I used some fun MME paper and red and white twine! My sentiment is from the Oh Christmas Tree stamp set.

I'm sharing this card over on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps facebook page today--we've been doing 12 days of Christmas cards...go check out the fun!!  Thanks for stopping by! Take care and I'll see you soon!!

Joy to the World!

Good morning friends! Did you have a great weekend!? We took to the road this weekend and in several places along our way, there was snow! My kids started talking about Christmas and it made us super excited! Time is moving right along and I think it is time that I better start thinking a bit harder about Christmas! I've got my lists made, some of them even checked twice!;)

So, here is a bit of some Christmas cheer for you all! I pulled out this Christmas tree stamp--it's been with me for just over 10 years! It is one of my all time favorite Christmas images and it's been a few years since it's met any ink! I got it at Impress, way back in the day! But, even though it's old, it's a great classic image and I'm sure it will stay with me for another 10 years!
My paper is from the new Crate Paper Peppermint Collection...it is simply divine! I adore the combination of colors and the prints are so lovely! I tied it up with a bit of twine...yes, I'm loving it right now! I also added a little aqua mist button and my Joy to the World is from PTI.

Happy Monday to you. I hope you have a wonderful week! I am thankful for you and for your sweet comments and friendships...thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

Good morning friends! I hope that you are all doing well! I am happy to be sharing with you today! My baby is getting better, which leaves mommy a little more time to geto some things done! As many of you know, I am teaching a card making class at our elementary. I've got 13 kids ranging in age from kindergarten to 3rd grade! We're having a wonderful time! We've been making a few sets of cards to send into the card drive that Jennifer McGuire is holding right now, Cards that Care. We are making cards to send to some Elderly Folks in Nursing homes! The kids in my class love this idea and we're really having fun!

I love seeing how these kids feel while making their cards--they get so much satisfaction from making their special cards and adding their name and how old they are. It's so fun to see the sparkle in their eyes, that they are doing something specail for someone else! It's great!!

So, here is a card that I've made to add to the collection that I've got to send in. I used stamps from Gourmet Rubber Stamps Season's Greetings new Diner's Club set, Season's Greetings. My paper is a from Echo Park and a fantastic green from PaperZone!

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends! I've got the Christmas Gifting bug right now...my lists are getting checked and made...I LOVE this time of year!! Take care, have fun and enjoy the ride!!

Merry Christmas!

Good afternoon!! I'm a bit later in posting today--and I'm posting "live"! My baby has been sick and as most of you know when your 11 month old baby is sick, everything else has to wait!! I'm glad to be getting this posted before too long!!

Today is a preview day of the new Diners Club stamps from Gourmet Rubber Stamps! You can take a peek at the whole set, Seasons Greetings, over on the GRS blog! I am really to get going on some fun Christmas projects...I LOVE this season!! I've got lists of Christmas gift ideas, projects I want to make around the house...and I'm trying my best to hold off on the Christmas music...but I'm not sure how long I'll be able to last!!

I love this little ornament image! I colored it in with copics then paper pieced the inside circle with some yummy green polka dot paper. My fun festive paper is from my new Holly Jolly Christmas pad from Echo Park! I LOVE new paper! I grabbed a couple new Christmas stacks from Ellen's store last week! (I LOVE that she is close enough that I can choose local pick up and go see her!! I LOVE her!!)

I'm also excited about participating in a new card drive! The kids in my after school card class really look forward to who we will be sending cards to! This session we'll be joining Jennifer McGuire again and contributing to Cards that Care. We'll be making Christmas cards to send to some elderly folks in nursing homes! How fun is that!? Thanks so much Jennifer for giving us a way to spread holiday cheer!!

A gift for you

Happy Friday morning friends! Today is the Lizzie Anne Designs Design Team Challenge for December...we were challenged to make a tag/gift tag for the holidays...I apprecitae the challenge, it got a couple of little gifties for some friends checked off my list of things to do!;)

I am in love with this little marshmellow image...isn't it SO dang cute!? I love the little scarf and find it just a perfect winter image! It can be for Christmas or just winter stuffs, and makes me SO happy!! The image is from the December Mix, Warmest Wishes. The "a gift for you" comes from the Love and Joy Labels stamp set. I paired the image with some great candy stripped paper I picked up a few weeks ago. Isn't that great holiday paper!?
Here is the complete little gift ensamble I created. I made a fun card, filled a little 1/2 pint jar with hot chocolate mix, mint/chocolate chips, and marshmellows. I prettied up the jar with some paper, tulle, and ribbons...then added my little tag. It's so fun to create your own gift packaging and cards, don't you think!?

These are super and can be easily mass produced. With a new baby, my hoilday preperations are doing their best to stay simple and necessary. I'd say that we'll get a few more of these made up and ready to be given...so those people we love can have a little happy warm and toasty treat!:)

Here is what the little jar looks like...enough cocoa for 2 servings with some yummy mint/chocolate chips and marshmellows!!

Don't forget to check in on the LAD blog for the fun items the other DT girls are sharing...I'm sure we'll get a load of inspiration today!! Thanks so much for stopping by, make it a great one!!
