You're Sweet

Hey there friends! Happy Monday all around! Today is a fun day for the GRS team, the color challenges are always so fun! It was so great to get such a fun bright color challenge to work with! You know me and color lately...I can't wait to see some flowers start popping their heads up!

I decided to use the little bike from the Enjoy the Ride truffle set...a wonderful happy image to match my happy color palette! And speaking of happy! I was at our great Ben Franklin store the other day...and saw some of their new dies! This beautiful paper ribbon--makes my heart so happy! I can't wait to use more of them on my cards!

Anyway, stop by the DT girls blogs--it's always such a treat!!

Have a great week friends--see you tomorrow!

Genuine And Dependable

Good morning friends! Hope you are all well! I am happy to be popping in today! Today is the GRS team color challenge! Our colors were beautiful--and some of my favorites!! I am making cards for the PTA to give the teachers at school this year, so I needed a masculine birthday card! So, that is what started my mind thinking...boots, love!! Colors, love, now to marry them into a birthday card!

I also used one of the new stencils...super fun! I love the diagonal stripe! I just used a sponge, some ink, and  little bit of wash tape to keep the stencil in place.

Boots and sentiment on the banner are from the Old Fashioned Fun set, and the happy birthday is from Party Animals!

Hop on over to the GRS blog to catch a peek at the great job the other team members did!! Great colors, don't you agree?

I will be back tonight with a listing of the winners from my birthday bash...

See you laters

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying a great weekend! We had a great Thanksgiving with some great friends and delicious food! I love this time of year...so many wonderful memories and I love sharing those with my kids! They have their "favorite" things about Thanksgiving and that makes me so happy!

So, today is a fun GRS design team color challenge! I chose to do something I hardly ever use--color mists! I used one by smooches with a stencil...it's gold and shimmery in real life. I added one of my favorite Christmas Trees from Oh Christmas Tree. The Merry Christmas is also from that set.

I ran my red star punches through my Xyron sticker maker and then added some sparkly red glitter...love red glitter this time of year!

You can take a peek on the GRS blog to see what the challenge photograph that we were given look like! Don't you love color challenges!?

The other girls blogs are here:

You'll want to check them all out...they are so great!!

Have a wonderful finish to your holiday weekend! Take care and thanks a bundle for stopping by!

Thankful...

Hello dear friends! I hope you are doing well! Happy Thursday to you all! And with the feel of my card today, I might also add a "happy fall, ya'll" for you all too!

Today is design team challenge day! We were challenged with colors this month...and I DO love this combination! I'm a little sad that you can't tell from the photo how awesome the leaves all look! I stamped them all with different textures, and you can only see the chevron! The blue/green leaf and yellow leaves are stamped with textures from the "timeless textures" stamp set...it's an oldie but goodie for sure!! Yes, I used my chevron coverall too, are you surprised!;)
I think it CAN be used on any card!

My sweet thankful came from the holiday season sampler set, and I LOVE it!! My leaves are from spellbinders...gotta love those nesties!!

Take care and be sure to check out the other girls blogs today...there is a bundle of fun waiting for you!!

Thanks for much for stopping by...I'm super THANKFUL for you all!!

DT Challenge

Morning friends! I am excited to share my design team challenge with you today! The GRS team was challenged to either make a shaped card, or incorporate shapes on our card. So, I started thinking and thinking and thinking!

I am so proud of myself! I love my Silhouette, but am not that technical savvy and haven't learned how to manipulate/create much in the software. I got an idea to make a pennant card, and I wanted it to work just how I wanted it! I am happy to report that I did it! I took a pennant, duplicated it, edited the shape a bit, grouped it, etc, and I got it just the way my brain saw it! I am so excited!!

I used my chevron coverall...(love, love, love!), the little school house and then the sentiment is from the School Days set. I colored it up with my copics, added some delightful red twine...and there you have it! I am going to make another one or two of these for a little something to give my kids new teachers...love this fun school house!

Ok, be sure to head over the other DT rockstar blogs! You'll love all the great things they have to share! Thanks a bundle for stooping by, and make it great!!

Bloom and Grow!

Good morning friends! Wow, last week got kicked into full swing ahead with my kids having their last week of school!  We are all sighing that big sigh that comes with the end of another school year! Everyone is so excited about a little less goings on and the opportunity of a lot of FUN! We've got some vacations coming up and oh, the fun, the fun!

Today is the GRS design team challenge day. We were supposed to use a stamp in a "new way"...and I have to say I was stumped for a while! I finally pulled out a surf board from the Garden Isle stamp set to make this flower! The Bloom and Grow is from the latest Diners Stamp set, Bloom and Grow.

I hope you take a second to check out the other design team's blogs today...lots of creativity to be had, that's for sure!:)

Thanks for stopping by today! Take care and make it a great one! Summer vacation, here we come!

You float my boat!!

Good morning friends! Hello and how are you!? I've been having a crazy mom week--I went out of town last weekend and have been playing catch up/etc. all week! I had a great weekend with my sisters, mom, aunties, and loads of cousins!! It was wonderful and just what I needed!!

Today is the GRS design team challenge! We were challenged to make masculine cards today. I decided to go with an oldie, but so goodie!! The Things That Go stamp set is such a fun one! I LOVE this little tug boat! I also have to admit, I used to say this all the time...so I really do love it to pieces!!
I used some fun Echo Park paper, and used the Sweet Sunday Sketch 159 for my layout. I turned the sketch a bit on it's side...I have to say how much I love these happy colors! Isn't that stripe paper to die for!? I've got the perfect little guy in mind for this card...yea!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to take a peek at the other GRS girls blogs today, they always have some fun to share on challenge days!! Take care, and thanks so much for being patient with me while I was away...I intended to get some posts done, but they just didn't get there!! Take care and make it a great one!!

For you...

Good morning friends! Happy April 15th! Can you believe we're half way through the month of April!? How in the world is that even possible!! It has been a great month thus far, I just can't believe that it's half way over!

Today I've got a bit of fun! The 15th means another Gourmet Rubber Stamps design team challenge! We had a color challenge this month...isn't this photo delicious!?

I made this card up for a little friend of ours that is in the hospital...he is three and is having some serious issues with his heart, and is actually waiting for a heart transplant! He loves trains and I thought he'd enjoy this one in the mail!
The train stamp is from the Things That Go stamp set. It's been with me a long while, and I still love it! My paper is from EP A Boy's Life collection.

I hope you get a chance to take a peek at the other designers blogs...it's always a treat!! And stop by the GRS blog too...all sorts of fun stuff!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care and make it a great one!

So very glad...

Good morning friends! Today is a fun day, it is the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team challenge today! The challenge today was "For the Birds." We could use anything that has to do with birds...so, I of course, chose one of my favorite images!! I've loved this little bird on her swing for as long as she's been around! The sentiment is from the Garden Inspirations set.

I was really happy while looking at the new office supply section at our local Target store earlier this...am I alone in LOVING to look through office supplies?! Anyway, I love how they have the supplies all organized according to color--so pleasing to my eyes! Well, what should I find than rolls of "paper-tape" as they are described on the packaging! They come in beautiful patterns, 4 different patterns/colors per set! There were 4 sets, red/pink, green, blue-purple, yellow/orange! They are so pretty and only 4$ a set! I am LOVING them! So, run to target and snag yourself a few rolls...you'll love them too! They have polkas, solid, and diagonal stripes...so fun!

So, back to the challenge..he he he..be sure to head over to the GRS blog and check out what the other girlies have in store for you today!! It's always a fun treat!

Thanks for stopping by today...take care and see you soon!

Post #1 Lizzie Anne DT Challenge!

Good morning friends! I hope you've been enjoying a great relaxing weekend! We're working on it...but here's to hoping that today realy is a day of rest! I've got two posts for today, so be sure to chatch both of them, so you don't miss the fun!
This first card, is one of my ALL time favorite sets from Lizzie Anne Designs! I've loved this little Party Animal set since I saw it for the first time. It just "speaks" to me and I find much joy in getting it all inky! And, yes, I'm in love with this color palette that I'm finding in the AC Craft Fair paper pack...100% delicious. I think I need the bright happy colors, due to A LOT of rain here in the Northwest!

So, here is how it came together. I used the current Lizzie Anne Designs Weekly Sketch Challeng, #109 for my layout. I used a couple of the fresh and very fun patterns of paper from the AC paper pack. I tied some crushed curry ribbon around the belly, with the help of my hobby blade to slit a track in the fold of the card. I stamped my birdie and colored it with some copics, then paper pierced the body with yet another pattern of AC paper. I also stamped the frame stamp around the birdie with brown palette ink. I ran the image through my Big Shot with the labels 1 nestability for the perfect coordinating shape! My birdie is mounted with dimensionals.

The sentiment, also from the Party Animal set, was stamped and punch out with a word window punch. I then punched a modern label to mount my sentiment in. Attached the sentiment to the card and boom, done.

I hope you have a chance to take a peek at the rest of the Design Team's blogs today! They are all linked in my left hand side bar. Check out the LAD blog for details about the challenge! See you in a moment for another sneak peek at some new Elzybells stamps! Stay tuned!!
