Lucky to Have you....

Good morning!! I am super excited today...Guest Designing for the Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge over on the CLASSroom Blog!!? How fun is that!!? I tell you, I love Ellen to pieces!! She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! I have missed stopping by the store to pick up my orders and chat with her since our move last fall!! So, super excited to be playing along with the challenge today!

For those of you that might not be aware of the challenge to which I am referring let me fill you in! The Pin-Sights Challenge is an inspiration challenge based on a Pinterest inspired piece to spark your imagination and creativity!

I fell in love with this fantastic inspiration piece!! Really, those colors though!!! And let's not forget the little bits of gold throughout....heart flutter.

So, after that beautiful inspiration piece. I pulled out some gold foil...and some delicious Essential by Ellen stamps. Seriously guys, you know I love me some fantastic sentiments and this set does not disappoint!! I used the Up The Happy dies and stamps. Delicious, don't you agree!?

I started with some Neenah Solar White Cardstock for my base and a strip of Aqua shape N' Tape down the side of the base.  I used my Mama Elephant Femme Frames set with some aqua cardstock and made a perfect spot for my clouds to hang out!! I used a little bit of  We R Memory Keepers Clear Cardstock across the top of my card on...oh my word I love that stuff!!!
I cut my clouds out using some Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive and then used some Deco Foil Gold Transfer Sheets to make them super pretty!! I pulled out some Hero Arts Black Die Ink and oh...I love that sentiment!!

So, another fun bit of the challenge is that there will be one lucky blog participant that will be chosen at random to win a $50 certificate to Ellen Hutson's online store!! To qualify, simply use any Essentials by Ellen product and create a project based on the inspirational piece. You can create anything...a card, scrapbook layout, mixed media, tags....anything!!

So, get your stamps inky and your paper trimmer ready
and head over to the CLASSroom to link up!

Can't wait to see what you create from this awesome inspiration piece!!

Take care friends!!! And thanks again to Ellen for the fun invite!!!

Happy Birthday!!

Well, hello there!!

I've got another card to share from my last birthday card order. This was the "girl/woman" card. I thought these beautiful Ellen Hutson floral images were perfect!! Seriously, don't you just love these florals!? And, knowing both Ellen and Julie, it makes my heart happy every time I reach for these stamps!!

I pulled out some PTI ink and went to town. Oh, and because I mass produced, I was EVER thankful for the MISTI! It made this process so quick!! Love that thing!!

I ended the card by adding a little strip of gold washi...oh how I love washi. I am getting so excited to get back to the large stash...my "temporary stash" is quite limited!!

Congrats

Good morning!! I'm excited to be popping in today!! I was able to get a few challenges in this weekend and that made me super happy!!

The first challenge I wanted to get in was the current Ellen Hutson, Mix it Up! challenge!! The mix up is to use Altenew and Essentials by Ellen stamps. Oh, hello two companies that I LOVE!!
I am in need of a few congratulations cards for some sweet kids in our life that graduated the past few weeks. So, I kept things super simple-and made a bundle of the same card! I know it is hard to tell from the photo, but the card front is an awesome embossed stripe--from this Heidi Swapp embossing folder. I love the look and simple class it adds to a card!!! It's really lovely in real life!!

Next I pulled out some neon Hero Arts inks, my Bold Blooms stamps from Ellen, and went to town!! I found that I preferred to use my MISTI--even though I was just stamping to get flowers to die cut, I like that I can get such great coverage with the MISTI!! So, flowers, leaves, die cut--and added to the card front. Then I pulled out my Altenew Label Love set.

I love, love, love these colors. They are summer, happy, and I know the recipients will love them as well!!

Thanks a bundle for stopping by today! Take care peeps and I'll see you soon!!

Good morning!! I hope you are all doing well today!! I am sharing another card that I made with my new Altenew Vintage Floral stamps! Seriously, I think the are some of my favorite stamps!

I used my MISTI to help me get my placement just as I wanted. Oh, I love, love, love these images!! I pulled out my Essentials By Ellen set...that thank you makes my heart sing!!

I used a little black and white strip of tape...just a little pop1!

Take care, see you tomorrow for a bit more fishy fun!!

Just a Note...

Good morning! I got a few new dies from Frantic Stamper and wanted to share a fun one with you today!! I pulled out this beautiful card panel--it is called the Quaterfoil Card Panel. Isn't it lovely!?

I also used my Monarch Butterfly die.

I sent the quaterfoil card panel through my big shot and kept all the pieces in tact--I added a piece of scrap paper from my printer to the back of the panel to keep them all nicely in place. I LOVE that look...

I pulled out some pretty papers and added a few stripes. The I used a pretty sentiment to help dress this card up! I ran my monarch butterfly through the big shot with some foiled paper from DCWV, and oh, it's so lovely!! I layered the butterfly on a doily, that I fussy cut from some patterend paper, and there is also a vellum doily behind that, for a bit of soft texture!! A few gold dots from Doodlebug, and there you have it!!

I am linking this card up the to current Simon Says Challenge, Clean and Simple!!

I hope your day is great---have a great Monday!!

Thank You!

Hey there! Post #2 for today! The new Retro Sketch for the week is a fun one!! It is based on a card from Arielle, and it's a goodie!!

Here is the sketch:
 And, here is my card.
I used some great Amy Tan paper...I love that design!! I decided to keep a black/white theme going for the card today. My bloom is from Ellen Hutson, the white stitched banner is from PPP, and the thank you die is from Heidi Swapp. I was SO excited to find this Heidi Swapp die while at Joanns a few days ago!! I love, love, love it!! So, a quick simple thought to share my thanks!!

I am excited to see what you come up with for the sketch this week!! Have fun with this one!!

Thanks for stopping by!!:) I'll be back with my PTI blog hop card next!!

Love you

Hey there friends!! I have a little something to share today! I've been really loving the sunshine and the flowers coming up in my yard!!

My card for today was inspired by the colors in my yard!!
Bright colors...man, I am so happy it is springtime!

I used the Bold Blooms stamps from Ellen Hutson for my main image. I stamped them with versamark, heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and then heat set them--onto watercolor paper. I added some color with distress inks and a paintbrush. I just smooshed the ink onto my craft mat and then used my paint brush to pick up the color. Then I pulled a move I generally don't--I pulled out a Jennifer McGuire technique! I went to my ironing board and placed the watercolor paper in between two sheets of computer paper and then ironed the embossing powder off. Now, it doesn't look really very different in a photo--but in real life it looks awesome, because there isn't the shiny embossing powder showing how the flowers stayed white...it's really a cool and easy WOW to add to a card!!

Then I used my Lawn Fawn script love die and cut it out of pink fun foam! Yep, it works awesome...and adds great dimension!! The little white you is from an Avery Elle die.

I made my card base, added a nice big square of Lifestyle Crafts shape 'n tape, and isn't it a great yellow!? The perfect color!! I added a couple of Bold Blooms dies behind my watercolor paper and then added a few Doodlebug "sprinkles!"

I am linking this card up to Ellen Hutson's Mix It Up challenge--using Ellen Hutston
 and Lawn Fawn!

I am also linking up to Simon Says Stamp Challenge! Spring Flowers/Showers!

Thanks a bundle for stopping by!!!

Thanks

Good morning! I hope you are well! I was so excited to have a fun box of joy arrive from Ellen Hutson this past week! I was so happy to get my little hands on these beautiful new stamps! They have been out of stock and as soon as I got the notice that they were back, I had to have them!

I was super excited to see the fun Pin Sights challenge over at the CLASSroom! This image just had me at, well, the black, white and gold, the stripes....you name it! I love it!!
Isn't this inspiration piece lovely!? I was giddy with excitement!!
Naturally, I went for the Delicata Gold ink! I stamped these awesome images from Bold Blooms, be still my floral loving heart!! Julie did such a wonderful job when designing these sets!! And can you love the sentiment more!? I also ordered the Fancy Thanks stamp set...and there might never be another thank you stamp used!! I think the font used on this set is PERFECTION!
Anyway, here is my card...
I added a tiny strip of my favorite lifestyle crafts shape 'n tape and a smidgen of gold thread...makes my heart happy!!

I hope your day is wonderful!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care!

Just a note...

Good morning!! Happy Saturday! I hope you are doing well! I'm popping in with my second post for today--the new Retro Sketch for the week! We've got a fun square card, based off a card of Arielle's that is super fun!!

So the new sketch

And here's my new card for the sketch!
I was doing a bit of homework from my Stretch Your Dies online card class. I love, love, loved this fun technique!! I cut these awesome Bold Blooms from my Essentials by Ellen dies, from masking paper and then arranged them on my white cardstock. After I had them placed, I took my ink blending tool and some picked raspberry distress ink and went to town!! Then I stamped all the coordinating blooms and leaves with black ink. I just LOVE the stark contrast!! My sentiment is from the Fancy Thanks set, also from the  new Essentials by Ellen release. The label is from a pretty pink posh die.

I made a few other cards just like this one, using different colored ink for the background....LOVE!! You just may see this set a few times this next week from me...kind of stuck on it!!

So, take a few minutes, grab what's out on your desk and come join the fun over at Retro Sketches!!
