Happy Happy!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! Thursday is finally upon us. I'm not sure why but my mind has been playing tricks on me all week...I've been thinking it was Thursday since Monday! Not sure why, but I'm thrilled that Thursday has finally arrived...now maybe my mind will quit with the tricks! I've been busy bulking up my birthday card stash..April is a big birthday card sending month! I have to say how much fun I've been having with the Paper Smooches stamps I received a few weeks ago! I have the Birthday Buddies and Pretty Phrases sets. They are so cute... I am teaching another after school card class at the elementary, starting in a few weeks, and I think these cute little buddies will make some GREAT kids cards...don't you think!? I started out by stamping the little fish--yes, I just stamped it over and over and over again--for my school of birthday fishes! I picked some bright happy colors out of my copic collection and went to town! I love that all the animals in this set have b.day hats on...such a cute detail! Cardabilities Sketch 28

Hello! Happy Wednesday to you all! Today is a little sad for me, this will be my last sketch with the Cardabilities Design Team. It's been a wonderful experience to work with Karan, who is seriouly AWESOME!! The other designers and well, the people that have made Cardabilities what it is! I was part of the first team...and seeing us be at sketch 28 is so fun!! I'll still likely be playing along with the sketches, they really great for use over and over again!

So, my take on sketch 28 is here. I LOVE this image from the LAD Spring Mix, Follow Your Dreams. I love the romantic feel of this particular image! I paired it up with some fancy shmancy paper that I love!! It's from SU and retired a while ago...but I still love it!!

Hey friends, good evening to you all! I hope your weekend was great and even your Monday too! I loved the color challenge Heather posted on her blog...these colors are simply 100% and so springy! I was happy to get a chance to play along with her challenge! The colors are Lemon Tart, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz and Plum Pudding! I love, love, love this combination of colors! I used my scallop die from PTI to make the lovely scallops on my card. I also used a bit of Raspberry Fizz ribbon. My sentiment is a Paper Smooches stamp from the Pretty Phrases...isn't it cute?! Play Date Cafe!

Good morning everyone! Hope your week is going well! We have had a great week thus far...it is seriously amazing what a little Vit. D-by way of sunshine will do for you!!:) We've had a few days at the park-showing Max what the sun looks and feels like! Hope you are enjoying the wonders of Spring in your neck of the woods!

Today Lizzie Anne Designs is hosting the color challenge over at Play Date Cafe! This great image is the one that we're using for our inspriation...challene #74! So, here is the inspriation...
And here is what I made following this inspiratinal photo! I felt springish..and loved the white in the photo...so I used the new birdcage(isn't it awesome!?) from the Spring Mix, Follow Your Dreams and then used plenty of white space...something I've missed for a while!! The birthday sentiment was stamped, it is from the Banner Birthday sixlet stamp set, and then punched out and added to the white space...just punched for a little something special, but not too much attention.

My flowers are made from a SU triple flower punch--and I stressed the paper out a bit and added some pretty pearls. My tulle bow was the last touch...and a larger pearl to finish the card off!

There is a bit of fun happening in the LAD store today, all the items in the Overstock section of the store is 40% through Sunday! So enjoy some great deals on some great stamps!! Several Mix sets are in there...(the Sweet and Spooky one...LOVE this one!!)...enjoy!!

Good morning friends. I hope your week is going well! We are enjoying the ability to play outside without getting rained on--well rained on very hard anyway!;) It is such a wonderful time of year...the blossoms are budding on the treese, plants coming up through the dirt in brilliant shades of green...oh, it's awesome!!

I was inspired for my card today by the Play Date Color Challenge #73. I loved the image that was used for the challenge...

And here is the card that I created to go a long with the challenge! I love this new stamp from PTI, it's such a great size!! My flowers are a SU die for the big shot...rediscovering fun things in my stash..

Make a wish!

Good morning friends! I hope you've had great weekend and are ready for a great week! My husband and son got home from AZ last night, had a wonderful few days watching as much basketball as they physically could...my son was in heaven! They also came home a bit sun-kissed...with 85 degree weather...it made me laugh that we had frost when we woke up this morning! My son has determined that he wants to move to somewhere warmer...like AZ! I'm glad they had fun, my girls are so happy to have them home...and I'm a happy mommy that they are home safe!

I mentioned that I'd received some fun from the UPS man the other day..new PTI goodies...and look how fun!? I received the banner builders stamp set and coordinating dies...let's just say I love them!! I think this turned out a really fun b.day card!

Hello There...

Ok, the UPS man brought me some fun...and while my little Max slept longer than anticipated again(I'm trying not to expect too much...it might not last long!), I got a chance to use some of my fun new goodies from PTI.

I love the sketch from CPS this week, and am glad I was able to get my card in before the week was over! Yea for great sketches and new goods!! I went with Crushed Curry and Real Red for my card...love that little POP of red...
I hope you have a wonderful weekend...the girls and I are going to work on a few springish projects...making pin-wheels...fun!! We're also going to take in a bit of March Madness today...go BYU!!!

LAD DT Challenge!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! I've got some fun to share today...Did you have a great St. Patrick's Day?! We spent the morning yesterday making rainbow cupcakes and frosting them and making little shamrock picks with tooth-picks. I don't have a shamrock punch...I think that would be a good investment for me to make! My girls had a lot of fun...and olny suffered for a minor sugar overload!;)

Today is the LAD DT Challenge, and the challenge this month was to make a baby card and find some inspiration from pottery barn kids! Well, I did just that! I had a great time dreaming of several different baby rooms...but this one caught my eye! The thing that caught me most was the great name plate for Sophie! So here is the wonderful photo that got the wheels in my head turning....here is a link to the room on their site.

And here is my card! I loved the non-traditional baby colors! I used Basic Gray from SU, Plum Pudding from PTI, Black and some beautiful polka dot paper from SU. I cut out my flourished frame with my Silhouette. I used some nestabilities--circle and scallop circle to make a mat for my "B" from the LAD Mix, Follow Your Dreams. Hey all!! My baby slept longer than usual...and well, now I've got a few minutes to play! I just got my Paper Smooches stamps yesterday and I just had to get them out to play! Thanks Max, for sleeping longer than normal...so I could play!

I used one of the Designer Drafts 2 for my layout on this card...and I am happy to say that I know JUST who is going to receive this card in the mail!!
I used some MM paper...isn't it lovely?! My flowers were made with a SU die and my pearls are also from SU. The wonderful sentiment...(perhaps my favorite for a very long while) is from the
Pretty Phrases set. I have to say I've been a big fan of Kim's for a long time and am so happy for her new adventure in Paper Smooches...definate fun to be had with these great stamps!!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! I am happy to be dry and warm indoors! I think I know what Monsoon season is like...we had SO MUCH RAIN yesterday...I was in Target with Ruby and Max and heard the heavens open and the rains begin...and so we waited. We wandered, shopped and waited a bit more. We checked out and needed carry out help because, well, my 2 storage ottomans didn't fit in my cart and my hands were full!:) Anyway, I was parked closer than I've ever parked to the door at any Target store, but still wanted to be closer...so I ran and pulled the car up to the door, so load the goods. The wind was so strong it was pushing my card and blowing the rain totally sideways!! By the time I got the goods, my kids and myself into the car, I looked like I had just jumped in a lake! I even had someone helping me(maybe I thought that would be faster?;))! When I got home and opened the back of the car, it looked like everything had been sprayed down with a hose...water everywhere!! I honestly think it is the hardest rain I've personally been in...in all my days!! So, glad to be dried out, warmed up and indoors!!

So, let's move on from the weather...to my card for today!! I was really excited about this card...for more than one reason today...I love the image...delish!? Yes. She is from the "Follow Your Dreams" mix that was previewed yesterday, from LAD. The sentiment is from the "Perfect Phrases" stamp set.
My second reason for excitement, I used my Silhouette SD to cut out my doily!! I love that I can make any size doily I need...big or small! How fun is that?! Super fun in my book!! My pearls are from Kaiser Craft and my ribbon is an older one from SU.

Spring Mix Preview!

Good morning! Happy post #2 for today! I'm back with some Lizzie Anne Fun today!! I really love this new mix...glad we finally get to share it! I've had a wonderful time working with these new stamps...makes me very happy...

So, here is my first card to share with Follow Your Heart! I have fallen in love with this little girl...isn't she divine!!? I think she has a great "spring-like" feeling about her, wouldn't you agree!?
I paried her with some Old Olive and Sring Moss paper, and a beautiful patterned paper whose maker I can't find right now! But it is some beautiful paper isn't it!? I used a bit of light pink tulle, some MS butterflies, a SU butterfly and some pearls...nice femine feel for sure!

Cardabilities Sketch 27!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! How's March Madness going at your house!? We're all super excited and loving the fun of the men's NCAA Basketball that is going on right now...our brackets have been filled out and we're all super excited for this weekend and all the fun! Speaking of fun, my husband is taking my son to Tuscon to watch the first round of the tournament...my almost 9 year old son thinks he's died and almost made it to heaven!!

I pulled out some retired paper from SU that I, very simply put, just adore! I love the colors of this line of paper...can't recall the name...sorry! Isn't it fun to revisit those things in your stash that feel like old friends...love it!! My butterfly is a sizzix SU die for the big shot. The ribbon is just a misc. piece and my thinking of you is from PTI.

Just Being Together...

Good morning friends! Have you had a great week? I hope so! Today is a long awaited day for my two girls, they get to go on an over-nighter date with Daddy!! Do I need to even say how excited they are for their special "trip?!? So, the boys will have a special date with me...looking forward to some basketball and fun with Myles...and Max, well, jsut squeezing him and snuggling with him is enough fun for me!!

I happen to LOVE this image from LAD. It can be found in the "Lucky You" Mix, from March of last year. I think it is a super cute image...and I'm so happy to revisit an older set and have just as much--if not more fun playing with it now than I did last year!!
I paried this priceless image with Summer Sunrise ink and some MM patterened paper...yum! Happy birght colors..that is what I've needed this week. We've been enjoying wonderful weather--mostly clear but windy and then a little cloud burst of rain and then clear again...the flwoers must be getting close!!

Thinking of You

Hey friends. Good morning. I hope you are doing well! How is spring coming along in your neck of the woods? It's a typical spring "down pour" outside as I type...I'm so excited for the flowers that these showers will bring! (trying not to mind the rain!)

I was thinking of this little image from the "Singing in the Rain" stamp set and knew I need to pull it out when I was looking for an umbrella to send my daughter to school with! I think this little image is too cute! The sentiment is from the Perfect Phrases stamp set.
I paired the image up with some of my favorite paper from SU, it retired years ago, but I found a couple of pieces in my scrap pile and well...I love it!:) My ribbon is from Bo Bunny and I colored my little peep with my copics.

Friends are Flowers...

Good morning friends! I hope you are having a great week! I am so happy, yesterday was a very productive day for me! It's been a while since my little peeps have allowed me the time to do what happened yesterday and it felt SO good!! I had such a great time...I hope it isn't too long before I get another! Now with a sleeping baby in my arms...

I have some wonderful friends. I am so thankful for the wonderful people the Lord has blessed me to become friends with. I have a few in mind that I haven't chatted with for a while and they keep coming to mind...so I've got a couple of envelopes ready to go today!!
I used this little flower image and sentiment from the "Singing in the Rain" Mix set from LAD. I paired my stamps with some fun Studio Calico paper and then some Crushed Curry cardstock form SU. I pulled out one of my favorite Martha Stewart border punches...love, love, love!! My ribbon is from Bo Bunny, how I love double sided polka dot ribbon! I pulled out my copics....wow, it's been a while! I've got to get back into that coloring groove! I've got so much to learn about how to use them better...

Forgetting...

Good Morning friends! I hope you slept well...something a new mother often wishes for. I have to say that Max is a great baby and I'm not up crazy hours in the night. He usually wakes up once to eat, but goes right back to sleep...and I am so thankful for that! I've been thinking about my age...I'm just one of those "thirty somethings" that HONESTLY has to really think hard about how old I am!

When I saw this "Ageless" stamp from LAD it made me giggle a bit. I'm not trying to lie about my age, I just often in all honesty, forget what it is! I don't feel any older-or wiser for that matter-than I did 10 years ago...and my mom has informed me that she still feels the same way she did when she was years younger...age, it's a funny thing isn't it!?
I used this fun October Afternoon paper, a Fiskars scalloped scallop border pounch, a flower die from SU and a bit of tulle on this card. This sentiment is one of the new singles released this month from LAD.

**I was really excited to discover a long forgotten note book with hundreds (honest planet, there are TONS!) of card sketches! This card is inspired by one of them...I say again, YEA for sketches!!

Hope is...

Good morning and happy Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had some wonderful springtime weather on Saturday, cleaned out the car, rode bikes, colored with sidewalk chalk...and the kids got all sorts of muddy!! I'm so happy to see little flowers staring to pop out of the mud...I love springtime!!
Today I've got my take on the LAD sketch challenge for last week. The sketch can be found here, on the LAD blog. Taylor did a great job...it's so fun to work with great creative people!! Anyway, I love that a sketch can inspire something...it doesn't have to be exactly like the sketch, but just having some idea to start from...love it!! The sentiment is one of the new March Singles from LAD, it's called Hope. My paper polka dot paper is Amy Butler and my cardstock vanilla and Basic Gray from SU.

Good morning friends. I have just one more of these fun blooms...I made this for a friend that had a b.day last week...love this color combination!!
I stuck with the same paper, from Crate Paper and added some Raspberry Fizz. You can't tell in the photo, but irl, you can see the lace I stamped from the Timeless Textures stamp set...it's really great looking in real life! Sorry, I just couldn't get it to show up well in the photo! The sentiment is from Perfect Phrases.

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! Happy March 2nd...spring flwers are just around the corner...so I thought I'd get busy making some 3-d flowers to make the rain feel a bit more enjoyable!:)

I used some crate paper and my silhouette to cut out this flower...a PTI scallop border die and sentiment from the LAD Perfect Phrases set. Just a little something simple to say thanks a bundle!! I'm happy to report that this card is in a box in the mail somewhere tonight...YEA!!
