Thank you so much!!

Hey there friends!! Happy Saturday! We have a beautiful sunny day--not warm at all--but we will take the sun as often as we can get it here in the PNW!! I am popping in to share this weeks new Retro Sketch! It is based off a old card of mine, you can find it here. I just noticed the date on my card post, it was in 2011!!

So, here is the Retro Sketch,

And here is my new card, based on the sketch!

I pulled out some fun Pebbles pockets that I found a few weeks ago...and this card is helping me with my goal this month to mail 30 thank you cards out!! I've got so many people to be thankful for and so many people that do so much for me...so I decided this is a good month to show them how much I appreciate it!! I'm doing well...got a load ready to get into the mailbox Monday!!

Thanks for stopping by! Come play with us at Retro Sketches...it's always so fun to see what everyone does with the sketch!!

Thanks!

Good morning! I hope you all had a great week/weekend! Yes, today is Wednesday, but I've been a bit busy and haven't checked in yet this week!
I am SO happy to report that yesterday when my 400+ photos arrived from Shutterfly, I got my family photo album/scrapbook for 2011 done! One of my goals for spring break was to decide what photos to print and then get them uploaded and printed! I am super happy to report that the orange box arrived yesterday from shutterfly and I spread them out all over the place and got them all in the album!!:) I am using project life to document/keep our photos so we can enjoy them, and let me tell you what, my kids love having books to look through!!:) I had surgery on my hand in May of 2011, and that cramped me for the rest of the year in taking photos and also doing anything with them! I am super excited to get my 2012 done and then start on our 2013!

Today is our GRS design team sketch challenge! It will be all sorts of fun, it always amazes me what the girls come up with!! I have fallen hook, line, and sinker for this particular stamp. Yes, there are 4 stamps in the appetizer set, but I just have been stuck on this particular one...LOVE it.

I hope you have a great day...thanks a bundle for stopping by!

Make it an awesome day!!

Thanks!

Good morning friends! What a crazy fun week! You know those weeks that have each square on your calendar full--so much you can't read it very well!? Well, this week's been one of those! Happy that everything went as planned and happy to have it all done...and happy to have a week a head of me with nothing other than enjoying my family on it!

I wanted to play along with the Play Date Cafe Challenge (#107) this week...and I loved that colors! This is such a fun combo! I loved that orange was to be used as a "splash"...that wording made me eager to accept the challenge and create something! I wanted to use some of my new Echo Park polka dot paper...um, delicous! Oh, and I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #143 for my layout of my card! Look at that, two challenges in one card...it's been a while since I've done that!

I used my Chit Chat stamps from Paper Smooches...and I also used some of my new twine! I just got an order of a bunch of colors and let's just say I'm smitten! I LOVE it...so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by friends! Take care, have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday!

Give Thanks

Good morning friends! How is your week going!? We're doing our best to be on the "up", but my two little ones are still not quite as well as I would like! I'm a tired mommy the last few days...hoping today brings wellness and that tonight's rest will be a good one!

Today is a fun day, the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team Challenge! The photo above was the color inspiration for our team color challenge. Isn't that a great photo!? I love the bits of deep blue and rust...perfect!

So, here is my take on the said, DT color challenge! I pulled out some of my favorite fall images, you can find them here and here, from the GRS store. Oh, and I even used some liquid pearls on my festive pears...fun, fun, fun!

I hope you get a chance to check out all the other design team work! They are all so great!! Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow...with a couple of challenges to share!

Take care and make it great!!

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!

Good morning friends! I hope you are all doing well! We are all finally doing a bit better, Max's ears are much better, and has had a few teeth (yep, plural!) pop up in the last few days! I can't believe that my baby is almost 1 year old! How fast times flies...I am so thankful for the joy my babies have brought to my life!

So, meet today's card. I told you that I loved this thanks stamp, right!? I love, love, love it! I've had some fun with this one! I think this is my favorite stamp from the Chit Chat set!

I love this color combo--espresso brown, tangerine orange and crushed curry! We've been noticing the leaves and lack of leaves on the trees the last few days...they were my inspiration!

Hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thanks ever so much!

Hey friends, good evening to you all! I hope your weekend was great and even your Monday too! I loved the color challenge Heather posted on her blog...these colors are simply 100% and so springy! I was happy to get a chance to play along with her challenge! The colors are Lemon Tart, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz and Plum Pudding! I love, love, love this combination of colors! I used my scallop die from PTI to make the lovely scallops on my card. I also used a bit of Raspberry Fizz ribbon. My sentiment is a Paper Smooches stamp from the Pretty Phrases...isn't it cute?! I love these fonts so much! I hope that you have a great night...I'm off to get dinner going! Have a great day and take care! Thanks for stopping by! I've got something fun that I'm working on that I'm excited to share!! See you in the AM! Make it great!!

And another...

Good morning friends! I hope you are well...did you have a good weekend!? Ours was great...slightly relaxing...slightly stresfull with a little sick peep...but she isn't getting worse, so we're happy about that! Now, if we can just keep those germs away from everyone else...

I meant to post this little moster thanks with the other one, but that didn't happen, so we'll do it today! I've managed to get a few cards itno envelopes, but boy oh boy!! Sitting down and writing is taking more effort than I anticipated!:) As do most things these days!
So, here is a another little sassafras moster card...again, love this paper collection!!

Be sure to leave a comment today, I'll be choosing a comment from the past few days tonoight to win a Basic Grey Ambrosia pad! Thanks a bundle for stopping by! Oh, and just a question, do you read/purchase scrapbook/cardmaking books?

Have a great one...see you tomorrow!!

A Note of Thanks

Happy Saturday! I'm all sorts of excited about the fact that today is Saturday!! One of my favorite reasons is that I get to leave Max home with dad and the other kids and go to Turbo Kick! I've really missed getting my "kickin'" in during the past weeks and it makes a happy mommy to get to class...yea for that !!

Another reason that I'm glad it's Saturday, is that we just get to slow down! We are just a little family with little people...but there is a lot of "busy-ness" that comes in every day life! I'm glad we don't have a milion places to go/things to do...so we can just be home and enjoy that. I did take Ruby(who will be 3 in Feb.) to the Dr. and they said what she has sounds a lot like RSV! We're hoping we get better and not worse the next few days...with RSV being a virus, they don't really have a treatment, and then we have an 8 week old baby in the house...so I'm washing/cleaning/sanitizing/and then more and more all over again! I think it will be good for her to have a few days of staying home and just laying low...keep your fingers crossed for me ok!?

So, with all that, here is my little bit of fun today. I L.O.V.E. this paper from Sassafras...isn't it awesome!? I made some of these up for the thank you notes to send my friends that came to the shower we had for Max...very "boy" card wouldn't you say!?

The sentiment and shape punches are from SU, as is the cardstock. I also love Tangerine Tango and so happy that SU is keeping it around!! I also used a fiskars border punch and a bit of yummy black ribbon!

Have a lovely one friends. Laugh until your cheeks hurt and don't forget to comment to enter yourself again into the running to win some fun blog candy!! TTFN and take care!

Thanks

Hello friends, happy Friday to you! I hope you've had a good week. It's been a wet one here...I know that the Seattle area is known for a lot of rain, but it always amazes me still (after living here for the better part of 10 years) at the amount of rain that comes from the heavens! It's been a rainy week, and I've been told we're in for more...so how about some bright happy colors today!? We're off to the Dr. for my little Ruby...bad night with really shallow breathing...luckily my Max slept all night and let me get a few hours in! I'm hoping we'll just get told she has a cough...clearing my mind of what she might have!

I've had my Silhouette SD (which I LOVE!!), since May of last year, and have decided I want to learn how to use it better and use it more often...so I decided to make some words to put onto some cards I am looking forward to sending. (My sweet friends had a shower for Max and me last night...it was so fun!)
I knew what paper I waned to use on my card, knew that I wanted to keep it simple and clean...and this is what I came up with! Can you believe how deliciuos this Crate Paper is!? I LOVE the whole collection...and love getting it out to play with! I used my PTI large scallop die for my scallops and use the "Fling" font to make my letters...and attached them with some Tombo Multi adhesive. My ribbon is from SU as is the gray dsp I used for my "thanks".

I hope you have a great weekend!! I've got more to share...so come back and visit!! And don't forget that I'll be choosing a random comment from yesterday through Monday's post for some Basic Grey Ambrosia paper...it's so pretty too!! **Kathy Mc, I need you to email me your information so I can send you your Wizard!**

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to laugh till your cheeks hurt today!!
