Happy Saturday!

Hey there friends! Happy Saturday to you! It's been a while since my last post, and I have two fun pieces of news to share with you...first off, my sweet baby boy was born on May 15th, he came via C-section and thankfully everything went as planned. He is a beautiful boy...I'll add some photos of him in the coming days. His name is Graham Bruce and is he is heavenly! I am so in love with him...it is some kind of wonderful having a sweet wee one in our house!

My second piece of news is another fun one...I am the "Headliner" over at one of my favorite spots, Retro Sketches for the month of June! I am super excited to be doing so! I love Retro Sketches and use them all the time, I was so flattered when I got the email from Arielle!! So, here is the sketch for this week, it is a good one! And be sure to check out the blog, the girls did some great cards, as usual!! Lots of inspiration!

I used my Fanciful Feathers dies from W+9 for the card. I used distress inks to color them, with a ink blending tool. Each feather was stamped with a larger stamp for fun detail. The turquoise and green feathers were stamped with images from Lawn Fawn, and the pink one was stamped with a Hero Arts background stamp. Then all were embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder. My sentiment is from the Fanciful Feathers stamp set.

I have been so blessed by so many friends the past few weeks, my thank you card stash has been diminished to nothing! So, the next few weeks I'll have a bundle of them to share, as I get cards marked off my list that need to get into the mail!

Thanks a bundle for stopping by today! I'll see you soon!!

I used one of the images form the Peace Love and Flowers set on my maple leaf today! I embossed it with clear embossing powder and oh, I love that image!
My paper is from a MME pack...don't you think that is great "fall" paper? I also used the thankful stamp from the Holiday Season Sampler set.

Back to Basics...

Good morning friends! I hope you are well! I am so happy today...isn't it amazing what wonderful weather does for you!? I am really loving the sunshine we've been receiving...seeing the sun definitely does a body good!

I've got a little clean and simple for you today...back to the basics. Cardstock, ink and stamps! Of course a few little fun extras, twine and beautiful button...but simple and fresh!
I had a bunch of scraps laying on my desk and saw a bunch of them all smooshed together like this card...and then I attached them to a piece of cardstock, trimmed it down a bit...and it was a wonderful background for me! I added in a little fillable frame, sentiment, some yummy twine and a beautiful button...delicious! I used Ocean Shores and Simply Chartreuse for my colors today..

Hope you have a great one! Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!!

This EP paper makes my heart happy...screams spring and don't you just LOVE those little white starts!? They almost look like polka dot...but they are really little tiny stars!

I paired the Beautiful Butterflies stamp/die with this fun paper...isn't it great to have coordination!?  I used Fillable Frames stamp/die as well as Signature Greetings.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend! Take care and see you tomorrow!

Many Thanks

Hello dear ones! How are you!? You know, I don't know where yesterday went...but I'm glad to know where today is going! We had our first baseball game of the season last night...it was great fun! All the kids had a great time, and we didn't get rained out!

I wanted to share a little something...my friend is in need of some thank you cards. I'm working on some fun ones for her! Yes, I could mass produce, but I'm more in the mood to make individuals! So, over the next little bit, you'll see a bit more in the "thank you" category!

You all know I LOVE the crushed curry color from SU?! It is one of my favorite yellows of all time! I paired it with some of the most delicious red chevron ribbon from May Arts! (pssst...Did you know that I got this ribbon from Amazon!? I knew they had everything, but when I looked for this, I got a whole roll of it, and it's a big roll, for under 10$!! And they have great colors...just sayin'!!) I paired the ribbon with some delicious EP paper. It's from the Dots and Stripes collection. I honesty LOVE that paper...almost want to marry it!! I used my Rosie Posie stamps...Tag Sale die, and the many thanks is from one of the fillable frame stamp sets. I used the Retro Sketch #4 for my layout..and must say I'll use this sketch again...it's a very versatile one!

I hope you have a great one!! Take care, enjoy the sunshine...and enjoy a little for me if you get some today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Thanks for your kindness...

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! We are doing great!! We've had almost 2 days of sunshine! It's been pretty wicked cold, but at least we've been able to see the sun!! My littles are sincerely enjoying being able to play in the backyard!! My litttlest little can be found standing with is forehead pressed against the sliding glass door...he longs to be outside...it's so funny to watch it begin at such a young age!

We went on a walk yesterday, Max in backpack, Ruby and my friend Nancy by my side!  While it was chilly, it felt like we'd be seeing butterflies, listening to birds sing, and almost smelling fresh cut grass!! Spring has finally sprung and we're loving it!

My card for today was inspired by the sweet spring that is upon us...and a dear sweet friend of mine. You know those sweet friends that always leave you feeling like a million bucks?? She always makes me feel so good...and I love her!! She'll be finding this little number in her mail box this weekend..yea!
I used the Beautiful Butterfly stamps and dies from PTI, and my delicious new MME paper! I wrapped a bit of twine around the bodies of my sweet butterflies...fun added texture!

I hope you have a great one! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello, Hello?

Wow, hey...happy to finally be here! I've had a bit of trouble getting my blogger stuff to work! I've tried to get things upload since Monday, and haven't had any success until today! Hopefully I've got my wrinkles pressed out and gone away!

I wanted to share a fresh little something with you today! I recently made some cards for a dear friend of mine that is going through some stressful times. I made a quick set of these Thank You notes, one in each color of the rainbow! I have to say, seeing these CAS fresh cards sitting all in a row did something happy for my heart!
This card is sporting Aqua Mist and Chevron background and Think Big stamps from PTI.

I hope you are all doing well! We've been put on flood alert...expecting our bridge to flood sometime today or tomorrow! Just so you know we are not having any shortage of WATER in the Seattle area!;) Take care and see you soon! I got two packages from the UPS man yesterday...LOTS of new goodies to use and love! Thanks for stopping by, take care and make it great!

Thank You

Hey friends! Hope you are doing well this Friday afternoon! So happy to have the weekend upon us! We are planning some great time together...hopefullly we can all dodge the flu bug that is running like crazy around here! The kids school had 40 kids out with the FLU yesterday--and that was not taking any other absence into account! The are having someone come and sanitize the school this weekend...crazy right!?

I wanted to share a little card with you...some new Crete Paper goodness...it's so fun to see fresh new designs in paper...it does something happy for me!! I put a few of this type of cards into my last "thank you" card order. Clean and simple and fresh...love that!
Hope you have a GREAT weekend. Take care, stay well and see you Monday!!

Big Thank You

Hey there peeps! Good morning to you! I'm happy to be stopping by this am! We turned out to have a little bit of a crazy weekend...my baby (all 25+ pounds of him;) fell off the bench at church. He cried and cried and cried...and finally about an hour after we got home from church I decided I had to take him to the dr. He was "off" and I can't handle that! So, I took him in and we actually got to see our regular pediatrition--which was a tremendous blessing! He told me that Max had a concussion! Wow, from falling of a bench that isn't very high at all! So, I've been on serious "hold me Mommy" duty!

I am happy to report that he is getting better and better as the hours go by! He is finally getting to feel a bit more normal to me. The dr. told me it could take up a to a week to have him back to "normal"...so we're thankful for the progress we've made thus far! I tell you what, I am SO thankful for a great pediatrition!! He has made me feel so calm...I sincerely appreicate that!

So, on a lighter note, here is another part of the card order I'm working on! I'm just about finished...products are new PTI goods...delicious colors, don't you think!?
It's been a while since I've done one layer cards...but it sure does feel good!!

Thanks for stopping by today...hold your babies close and give them an extra squeeze today! Make it great!

And here is the raspberry fizz version!

I hope you have a great day...take care and I'll be back tomorrow! I've got more fun to share!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

With Gratitude

Good morning! How in the world can we be approaching mid November!? I am loving this season of thanksgiving...we are having a great time writing down the things that we are thankful for. I love watching my little Ruby take her leaf and write down what she is thankful for--I'll have to take a photo of our Thankful Tree. We've been writing down what we are thankful for on paper leaves, and then tying them onto some branches in a vase on our table. Of course, her first thankful leaf was "treats." She loves candy, and her sweet things!

Anyway, today's card. We made this yesterday at our after school card class. The kids all got so excited about the leaf...I dusted off my paper crimper! That thing has been around for ages--it doesn't get to play much but when it does, it sure packs a punch!
The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches, Chit Chat set...and I love it! It was fun to listed to the little kids say, "what's a gratitude!?" Glad to be able to talk to them about what they are thankful for! There will be about 14 smiles on teacher/principal faces tomorrow....so fun.

Thanks for stopping by friends! Make it great and take care!

Thanks so much!

Good morning! Happy Monday! I don't know about you, but I was SO happy to get an extra hour of sleep yesterday--I can't believe that my kids got the memo to sleepin! I feel like a new woman! I was dreading the "falling" back, because I knew my kids would wake up crazy early, thank you kids!

I've got a fun little number to share with you today. I used the Sketch from Card Patterns last week for my layout. I  used my new Chit Chat stamps from Paper Smooches...and let's just say that I love this thanks stamp! I made a few cards with it...and I love it! So, here is my card! I also used my Alphadot stamps, to spell out my You Rock!

Hope you have a great day and keep warm! We're starting to have some really chilly weather-which I LOVE-but wow, it's getting cold!! Yea for this wonderful time of year...thankful for so many blessings! Thanks for your kindness...I'm thankful for that too!!

Love it...

Hey all, how are you doing?! I am so happy that the summer days are finally setting in around here. We thought that summer would never come! I've had a fun time playing with "summer-time" papers! I'm all about bright bold colors right now and I love this combination of colors from Cosmo Cricket!
I was browsing through my latest Paper Crafts Magazine and I saw a card that inspired me! When looking at the two, it really isn't anything like the card that inspired me, but isn't it great to have things that get your mind going? That is why we all love magazines and such, right!?

Hope you all have a great one! We are off to basketball camp with my daughter today, the library, and hopefully a fun time making a good treat! Thanks for stopping by...take care and see you tomorrow!

Thanks So Much!

Good morning friends! I am happy to report that the surgery on my right hand went well...and I am recovering as well as expected! I've got a brace on my hand that allows for more movement--but the computer is something that still brings pain when I use it! So, this will be short and sweet!
We feel like maybe summer has found us here, in the PNW! We were even warm enough to get the fans out! The bright colors in this card for my friend sure make me think of summer, shaved ice, flip flops and big oversized beach towels...and with just a couple more weeks of school...we are counting down to the lazy days!!

Thanks for stopping by! Make it great and enjoy!!

Thank You

Good morning friends! I hope you've had a good weekend! We have enjoyed some great baseball games, a bit of sun, a little rain, and some WONDERFUL fresh green!! I love this time of year, the trees are all busting with awesome fresh bright green foliage right now...so beautiful!!

I'm having a little bit of fun today--going into my daughters kindergarten class to do a little card class today! My daughter is beyond excited...and I'm thrilled too! We'll be making a couple of different cards today. These two--they will each be making one of them. We are going to be participating in Stephen's desire to send cards to all deployed military troops! I'm so excited for the soldiers to open these cards! They are all made just as the kids like them. Some follow the example as close as they can, some just do whatever floats their boat!

They all love the idea of sending cards to soliders...it's been great to be able to be part of this great idea!
Here are both versions--

If you are interested in joining in the fun and sharing your handmade cardsl--go here to learn how you can be involved!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I've got a bunch of stuff to share the next few weeks...I'm having surgery on Thursday!! My right hand has been having car-pal tunnel type symptoms for 8+ years! I've finally gotten so fed up with the pain I just have to get it taken care of!! So, I'll be out of comission for a few weeks, but I've got stuff lined up to share, so hopefully the scheduled posts will work as they should!!

Take care and make it a great one!

Thanks so much!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! I am happy to be dry and warm indoors! I think I know what Monsoon season is like...we had SO MUCH RAIN yesterday...I was in Target with Ruby and Max and heard the heavens open and the rains begin...and so we waited. We wandered, shopped and waited a bit more. We checked out and needed carry out help because, well, my 2 storage ottomans didn't fit in my cart and my hands were full!:) Anyway, I was parked closer than I've ever parked to the door at any Target store, but still wanted to be closer...so I ran and pulled the car up to the door, so load the goods. The wind was so strong it was pushing my card and blowing the rain totally sideways!! By the time I got the goods, my kids and myself into the car, I looked like I had just jumped in a lake! I even had someone helping me(maybe I thought that would be faster?;))! When I got home and opened the back of the car, it looked like everything had been sprayed down with a hose...water everywhere!! I honestly think it is the hardest rain I've personally been in...in all my days!! So, glad to be dried out, warmed up and indoors!!

So, let's move on from the weather...to my card for today!! I was really excited about this card...for more than one reason today...I love the image...delish!? Yes. She is from the "Follow Your Dreams" mix that was previewed yesterday, from LAD. The sentiment is from the "Perfect Phrases" stamp set.
My second reason for excitement, I used my Silhouette SD to cut out my doily!! I love that I can make any size doily I need...big or small! How fun is that?! Super fun in my book!! My pearls are from Kaiser Craft and my ribbon is an older one from SU.

Thanks for stopping by!! I appreicate you sharing a few minutes with me today!! See you soon! I've got new stamps arriving in the mail today...oh, here's a little hint..."smooches!!" Make it great!!
