Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! Today is a fun day...design team color challenge day! We had a great color palette this month--I love, love, love these colors!

I chose to work with our new Say it Big and Butterfly Trio appetizer sets. I used my memento markers to ink up my sentiment stamp--isn't it such a fun one!? My butterfly was fussy cut and popped up with foam adhesive! I used the current Retro Sketch, #60 for my sketch on this card.

Butterflies....

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well...I have some fun to share today! Being the 15th, GRS has some new appetizer sets being released today! Oh, these could be my favorites so far...I LOVE them!!

This first card is featuring the Butterfly Trio set. There are some super fun butterflies...I don't think I will ever have enough butterflies...they are always so fun and different is SO good! I did a little bit of "generation stamping" with stamping off for the lighter colored butterflies. My sentiment, which is PERFECT for so many cards I need to send at the moment, is embossed with gold embossing powder. And yes, added a few gold sequins...love! I used Hero Arts inks for the beautiful colors!

 This next card, not meaning to go over board with the butterflies, but hey, I love them! These butterflies are die cuts and the little one was punched out. I used strips of paper to cover a larger sheet of cardstock, then ran it through my big shot with my dies, so the butterflies got their bright colors that way!:) The paper is from pebbles...My sentiment, oh my word! You are going to LOVE this new set!! It is called, Say it Big, and you will really LOVE the selection of sentiments/fonts etc., it is a really FUN new set, and I love it!!

Good morning! I hope you all had a great week/weekend! Yes, today is Wednesday, but I've been a bit busy and haven't checked in yet this week!

 I am SO happy to report that yesterday when my 400+ photos arrived from Shutterfly, I got my family photo album/scrapbook for 2011 done! One of my goals for spring break was to decide what photos to print and then get them uploaded and printed! I am super happy to report that the orange box arrived yesterday from shutterfly and I spread them out all over the place and got them all in the album!!:) I am using project life to document/keep our photos so we can enjoy them, and let me tell you what, my kids love having books to look through!!:) I had surgery on my hand in May of 2011, and that cramped me for the rest of the year in taking photos and also doing anything with them! I am super excited to get my 2012 done and then start on our 2013!  

Today is our GRS design team sketch challenge! It will be all sorts of fun, it always amazes me what the girls come up with!! I have fallen hook, line, and sinker for this particular stamp. Yes, there are 4 stamps in the appetizer set, but I just have been stuck on this particular one...LOVE it.

Good morning! Happy Monday! I sure hope today does pan out to be a happy Monday, wouldn't that be great!? Among the mountains of laundry, and other misc. items on my list today, I sincerely hope that today is a happy Monday!

Today is the GRS design team color challenge! It is a great one...

I used a little inspiration from the Pattern Play online class, I did some "weaving" with my patterned paper...fun huh!? It didn't take long at all and was super fun I think! I pulled out my Water Your Soul appetizer stamp set, and Thinking of you truffle set for this card. I paper pieced the pot of my tulips....which have been colored with my white gel pen. 

Hope you get a second to check out the fun things the other designers have in store, it's always fun to see how everyone takes a challenge!

New Stamps!

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend yet?! I sure am! Kids only have a half day of school today, so we are getting a head start! My kids LOVE Friday afternoons...here is hoping we have nice weather so they can play outside! Fingers crossed...

Today is a super fun day...new stamps being released from GRS today!  Thees two new lovelies are going to be staples, I will just tell you now! I have already found my daughter with one of the two sets, can you guess which!?

Yep, this great little "Magical Birthday" set! Isn't that unicorn divine!? I added the sentiment from "Once upon a time"--because I needed a birthday card for next week! I masked the cute little unicorn and stamped her with hero arts inks...yum! Oh, and how about that lovely May Arts ribbon!? LOVE! The rhinestones on the horns look really cool in real life...don't know why they don't feel that great on this photo? But, believe me, they are cool..my daughter told me so!

 This next card is for my son. My husband and son have a tradition of going to watch the NCAA playoffs...this is the 4th year! They are heading out next week, and my son doesn't know the extent of the fun trip planned for him...so I thought this card would be fun to tell him about his surprise!

The stamp set is called "Have a Ball" and let's just say this set is going to be well loved too!! My son thinks it is so cool! Super fun!

Happy Birthday!

Hello dear ones! Happy day to you! Today is a fun day, it is the GRS design team sketch challenge! So, here goes some fun! I hope you have a pair of shades handy, this card is a bit BRIGHT! I got myself some of the hero arts NEON ink pads...oh my heart! They are super, duper fun!

I pulled out my Vintage Birthday stamp set...it is such a great set! It's been a while since it has seen any ink too! I thought it would be fun to use that bold ink with a slight "vintage" feel. I have to tell you how much I love this party hat! Isn't it awesome! And in neon pink, be still my heart!

I used some of my brightest rolls of washi tape for my background stripes...and the fun continues!

Happy Friday!

Hello! What a week, I'm so happy that today is Friday! I got bitten with a nasty flu bug on Monday night and I've been on the down low all week. I am happy to say I'm just about back to normal! Except, food isn't doing for me what I wish it were! I have no appetite, and am wanting salty things--and well, they don't taste like I hope when I eat them! So, here's to hoping that I get my appetite back, I'm hungry!!

Today is a fun day over at GRS! We've got a new line of stamps being released today! Everyone has a couple of images to share...and they are really fun! The new line is called the "Laura Hunter" and they images are a bit collage-like...and really fun! I received the Butterfly image and also the Be Happy image.

 On my Butterfly card, I used some Heidi Swapp Color Magic paper and some Color Shine to make my lovely backgound...so much fun. My stripped butterfly is also colored with Color Shine and from Heidi Swapp. My ribbon is LOVELY ribbon from May Arts! Isn't it perfect?

For this Smile card, I only inked part of the stamp. You'll have to run over to the blog to check out the full image! It's got so much to offer! Anyway, I inked up the lower portion and then used my delicious Chevron Coverall, of course. My beautiful pink ribbon is also from May Arts. My pearls are from Kaiser Craft.

Hey, good morning friends! I hope you are all doing well! We had a great weekend...it was very productive for me! My sweet husband took my kids swimming Saturday and so I got some quiet time at my desk! I had a lot of fun!! I am so happy that I've got a few new paper pads and such to play with! Oh, my 100 yards of seam binding came! So, I have to say I LOVE it! I splurged and bought me a bunch of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in December--and now I can have any color ribbon I need! I love that so much! 

I used some color shine to make this lovely blue ribbon...perfect to match my beautiful paper! I picked up a couple of new Pebbles 6x6 pads...can you say LOVE!? I think the color palette is just perfect...wouldn't you agree?

I used one of the new GRS Bubble Sentiment stamps...so much fun.

Hey there friends! Happy Monday all around! Today is a fun day for the GRS team, the color challenges are always so fun! It was so great to get such a fun bright color challenge to work with! You know me and color lately...I can't wait to see some flowers start popping their heads up!

I decided to use the little bike from the Enjoy the Ride truffle set...a wonderful happy image to match my happy color palette! And speaking of happy! I was at our great Ben Franklin store the other day...and saw some of their new dies! This beautiful paper ribbon--makes my heart so happy! I can't wait to use more of them on my cards!

Hey There!

Good morning friends! I hope your Valentine's Day was wonderful...I had a hot date with my husband--it was GREAT! My kids had one of their favorite baby sitters and all was well! 

Today is a fun day at GRS! There are two new appetizer sets being released today. And, I have to tell you, one of them could be in my top 5 of all sets...the Bubble Sentiments are delightful! The Queen Bee is really great too, but I LOVE the Bubble Sentiments! Check out the blog to see the reveal of the full sets!

On this first card, I pulled out my sweet Little Monster. It's been too long since she's seen any ink!! I paired her with one of the new Bubble Sentiments...and there you have it! Quick and fun!

I Love You!

Good after noon friends! Happy Valentine's Day to you all! I hope your day is going along just as dandy as can be! We had our fantastic traditional Valentine Breakfast...my kids really look forward to this breakfast....and it makes me so happy! My mom always made a really special Valentine morning for us, and I am thankful that we've been able to keep the tradition alive! It's really nothing crazy--just a special valentine on everyone's plate, a little bag of treats, and then waffles with strawberries and whipped cream! And yes, red juice, doilies, and red pottery!;)

It's such great fun for me...I love it so!!

Anyway, onto a little bit of love...This little typewriter...inked up rainbow style!

We've had a lot of heavy stuff going on, and through all that has been going on, the realization that our relationships are so important...the love we share is so important!! Hello peeps, happy Tuesday afternoon. I hope you are doing well! I am popping in quick to share another fun card with the new typewriter image from GRS. I have to say, my girls saw this card and had no idea what it was! My four year old asked if it was a a label maker...isn't that funny!? I didn't use a type writer a ton, but my family had one! I started to learn to type on our fancy Apple 2E computer! And along that line, I used to LOVE to play the Oregon Trail game...silly memories!

Anyway, so onto my monochromatic card for today! A bit of MME washi, gray satin ribbon, silver embossed typewriter, and then your rock...

Good morning friends! I am happy to pop in quickly today, to join the girls on the GRS team, for this month's sketch challenge! Yes, I had to twist, and turn a bit, but in the end...here it is!

I used my new favorite set--as in I made 5 cards with it this past week! You'll be seeing them unveiled this week...week of the typewriter!? We'll have to see about that!

Hellos friends! Happy Friday to you! I am happy be here sharing today! Today is a fun day, it is the GRS DT monthly color challenge! I really loved the soft color palette...and new stamps!

 

This new stamp set is a new appetizer set called, Rustic Floral. It is a great new set! The green background image is one of the included images, and isn't it great!? So versatile and a super easy pop! I used some Memento markers to color my stamps. It's been a long time since I've used markers on stamps, and oh, it was fun!!

just wanted to say...

Hey friends! I hope you are doing well! Did you have a nice long weekend? We sure did! My kids loved it. And I have to say I loved it too! I had a few hours a my desk and oh, it felt good!

 

I received some new stamps from GRS when I got home from CHA...and they are so fun! I had some fun with this set, "Just wanted to say"...mega phone?! Be still my heart. I had a bundle of fun with this one!



My papers are from some fabulous Heidi Swapp collection. To tell you I love the colors/papers would be silly, huh? The I love you is from Vintage Valentine set.

Wishing you...

Hello friends! I'm back! I was gone for a space to CHA, it was SO much fun...I think one of the highlights for me was getting to hug on so many great friends! It is funny, the blog-land that we are all a part of. I have so many friends that I live so far away from-and some people that I wonder if I will ever get to see! Then there is an event like CHA, that brings us all together. It was a great time...I loved seeing all the wonderful booths. There is a load of wonderful product heading our way! Oh, the joy and love of paper and pretty things!

I am hoping to share a few fun photos from my trip, but while I am experiencing a tiny bit of technical trouble, it is too painful to do that right now!! I will upload and share when I don't have to have the patience of Saul to do so! (Know what I mean!?)

I wanted to drop in quickly today, I'm caught up on all the laundry, cleaning, and food shopping that I missed so much while I was away ;), and now back to my happy spot! I love this little golf cart! It is one of GRS new Truffle sets, and isn't it lovely? I needed a masculine birthday card, and thought this would fit the bill! I pulled the sentiment from the Banner Birthday set, one of my all time favorites!

I think this photo feels a slight bit grainy...so sorry for my technical issues! Hopefully they will be solved with haste!

Hello friends! I hope you are well! I'm happy to be popping in today. I know it has been longer than anticipated since I stopped in! I'm getting ready to head to CHA tomorrow...so I've been a bit crazy! I'm excited to be going...it is SURE one fun weekend! I'm greatly looking forward to seeing tons of fun friends and enjoying myself tremendously! Anyway, I'll share fun deets when I get home!

Today is the Design Team sketch challenge for GRS. You can go to the blog and see the sketch and what everyone else did with it...I made a slight rotation to the original sketch. Which is why sketches are so great, isn't it!? Just for the basic jist of creative juice...love it!

I used one of the new GRS truffle sets, thinking of you. I colored the stamp with Memento markers and then added some pretties.

Friends...

Hello friends! I hope you are doing well! We are enjoying these last few days before the kids go back to school again. As much crazy as the past few weeks have brought, I sure will miss having my kids around all day! We've played games, eaten yummy food, played with friends, and then done it all again the next day! I love my littles and love having them around! 

I've got another new Truffle set to share with you today! This is the "Friends" set. I think this is another super fun set! (All 12 of the sets are great...)
