And Another...

Hello friends! Good morning! We made it to Friday, now time to relax and enjoy right!? Sounds good to me!!

I wanted to share a little new baby card that my daughter and I made to go along with a cute little something for our new baby friend to wear!! We love shopping for baby clothes, and new baby clothes are so much fun, they are so tiny!! So, here is what we made to go along with our little giftie...
My card Summer Sunrise and Spring Rain, and a little bit of Basic Grey patterned paper. I used the Little Monsters stamp set(I really do love it!!), colored my monster with some copics and then mounted him on Summer Sunrise cardstock. I used some Spring Rain ribbon and Summer sunrise and Spring Rain buttons-I just layered one on to of the other. It came together quickly and I think is a fun new baby card!! Looks very "boy" wouldn't you say? My girlfriend just had her first boy--she's got 2 girls and "boy" is very different...but good differnt!:)

I hope you have a great one. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Toodles for now!!

Elzybells DT Challenge!

Good morning friends! I hope you're all having a good Thursday thus far! Only one day until the weekend...yea!! My weekend is actually staring today, my husband, little ruby and I are making a quick trip to SLC today to spend a special evening with all of my family! I am the 8th of 9 children and it will be so wonderful to be with everyone(we're all over the country) for a couple of days! I've got the details all worked our for my son and daughter, who are over the moon excited to have a "sleepover"....hope all goes well!!

Today is a fun day, it's Elzybells DT challenge day! We're at challenge #42, our challenge was to use only Kraft paper on our card, no patterned papers of any sort. I thought it was a great challenge and enjoyed it! BUT, it was a challenge not to reach for some patterned paper....I won't kid you there!
I started out by stamping one of my favorite blooms from the Floral Fervour stamp set with some Strawberry Fool ink. I stamped it a couple of times on the base of my card, just so you get a little sneak peek of it. Then I ran a layer of my kraft c/s through the Big Shot and embossed it with my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I wrapped this layer with some Riding Hood Red ribbon from SU, and then mounted the layer on my card with dimensional adhesive. I used a bit of tulle(just grabbed a bundle of it, tied it up with some twine and added it with some glue dots under my knot of my bow. The button I used is from the Whipped Cream collection. I used another piece of kraft and stamped my flower one more time, then added my sentiment, with Whipped Cream ink. The sentiment comes from the Tags-floral circle stamp set.

Hey, do yourself a favor, run over to the Elzybells store and fill up your cart, they've got free shipping on orders over 20 pounds(british monies), until May 3rd! We all love free shipping, so take the plunge and get your goods now! I hope you get a chance to check out the other Design Team's work...it's always fun to see what everyone does with the challenge!! Thanks for stopping by...make it a great one!!

Little Monster...

Good morning friends! Happy Wednesday! I'm all bundled up under the cozy blankets on my bed...it's far too chilly out there to get out!! Yes, my kids are needing assistance so my time in my cozy spot is limited...but I'm sure enjoying it!:)

This cute little monster...let's be honest...is so cute! I think this set of stamps, Little Monsters stole my heart...I can't seem to get enough of them! I used Deb's sketch for the week, you can find the sketch here, on the LAD blog. I love the clean fresh lines...so refreshing to have so much space!
I used Aqua Mist and Hawiian Shores cardstock for my main colors. I colored my little monster with copics and mounted her on an pinking circle, cut with nesties. I used the PTI rick-rack die...and I LOVE it!! I had about a 1 1/2" strip of Hawiian Shores paper, that I cut a rick-rack out of, and then used both those pieces on the card, I added the rick-rack that I cut with dimensional adhesive. I tied it all up with some Raspberry Fizz ribbon and added some pink rhinestones from kaisercrafts, for a bit of bling!

Hope you have a cozy day, where ever you may be...and if you are basking in the warmth of the sun...take in a bit of warmth for me today!! Thanks a bunch for stopping by and make it great!

Oh so sweet!

Good morning friends! We went to sleep with a ton of rain and woke up to a bright sunny day today...I LOVE sunny days! Yea for sunny days in the springtime!!

Today I've got some Cutting Cafe goodness to share! Isn't that little cupcake a fun image!? The cherry on top sure did make me happy!! I printed the cupcake and sentiment from the Sweet Stuff Stamps image set, and I love them!!
I have this new Basic Grey paper, Nook and Pantry, and I loved the cupcake paper! Paired up very fun with this image! I just colored the image with copics and then cut it out and used a bit of dimensional adhesive under it to make it pop. My ribbon is from SU, the Beachfront ribbon(I just got it from the clearance rack..YEA!). I used Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist cardstock from PTI and a little bit of vanilla cardstock. I decided to bust out my OCL Sparkly Fluff on the sprinkles and cherry, it add such fun texture!! And my button is from the Toffee button collection from Elzybells.

I hope you have a sweet day...thanks so much for stopping by!!

Thanks for Everything

Good morning friends. I hope you had a great weekend! We had a good one, and now it's over before I even knew it! We went on a quick trip to Vancouver BC, to see a new temple that our church built...it was a really fast trip to Canada, but worth all the rushing around! Wow, what a beautiful building...a sweet thing to get to share with our kids.

You know those super great friends that are always so willing to help you out? I've got several of them that have been on mind a lot the last few days, so when I got my Hello Friend Sixlet stamps from Lizzie Anne, I busted out a few of these cards to send to those lovlies. I love the images and sentiments from this set...so nice!
This first card is a Summer Sunrise base, chocolate chip layer and then white. I used my corner chomper on 3 edges and then some Summer Sunrise ribbon. I colored my flower with copics, then added the sentiment with memento ink and then added a few rhinestones, there are three. One thing I LOVE about copics is that you can color your clear rhinestones to match your project perfectly...LOVE that!! And it doesn't just stop at rhinestones, you can color ribbon, pearls, flowers...and on and on!
I wanted a slightly different look, so I busted out into purples. Now, I do love purple, but I think I'm afraid of it...don't use it hardly ever!! I just got some new purples from PTI, Lavender Moon and Plum Pudding, so I'm ready to use them more...here's to hoping anyway! I used Lavender Moon for my cardbase, then just a white layer. Coner Chomped again, and some Plum Pudding ribbon. I colored again with copics, added some colored rhinestones and my sentiment.
I've got some scrumptious cookies and a fun little note to drop at a few people's homes tomorrow...what a happy feeling!
Hope you have a great one...thanks a bundle for stopping by! Take care and make it great!

Lizzie Anne Spring Release Day!

Good morning friends! I am excited to share some fun new stamps with you today! I had a great time working with these new stamps, so here's to a few samples to share today!:)
This first card is made using the Playful Pals Sixlets stamp set. I paired the little dog with some cosmo cricket paper...isn't he so cute?

This next card was made using the Merry Marine stamp set. Another little bit of cosmo cricket paper, some Tangerine Tango and Aqua Mist buttons...

This my friends, is Little Lizzie. Isn't she cute? My daughter had so much fun with this little image...her dress is paper pieced...she's got a few different outfits and is so cute! This image has a lot of road ahead of her...so says my daughter.

Oh, my...isn't this Little Monster so cute!? He is one of the images from the Little Monster set...I LOVE this set..so fun!!? My son is totally excited about this set...so yes, there will be many more of this guy!

This card is featuring a sweet new flower from the Hello Friend stamp set. Isn't that a fun image? I thought it would be fun to pair with the music staff that is part of the It's good to be queen April Mix.

I hope you are as excited about this new release as I am...it is a great release...be sure to check out the fun on the LAD blog today!
Thanks a bundle for stopping by! Have a great one and see you soon! Make it great!

Hey There!

Good morning friends! I hope you are all having a good week! Yet again, I can't believe tomorrow is Friday! I feel like a broken record, "how do the days go so fast!?" We've had a couple of really full days and I'm looking forward to a bit less of that today...yea!! I got a big box of new stamps from PTI...fun, fun, fun!!

Today I'm sharing a little card I made to slip into a little something for my friend. I left this just a little blank notecard, but made it a super snazzy one!:) I love this paper..it's from the SU Sweet Pea paper pack. I used this fun umbrella stamp, from the LAD Spring Rain stamp set. I used some fun ribbon from SU, a big orange zest button...and something about this card just makes me smile! Isn't it fun to have something so simple make you happy!?

Speaking of happy, I'm teaching an afterschool class a the elementary, a "cardmaking" class. In the last session we made cards to sent to the Cards for Kids drive that Jennifer McQuire was holding, we ended up sending around 70 cards to the drive. The kids in the class loved making cards for specific kids and really got excited about giving something to these kids that could use a little happiness...SO. Yesterday was our first day of the new session of cardmaking, and I learned of a connection to the local Children's Hospital, so we again have a place to donate cards!! I'm really excited about this and the kids in this new class got all sorts of excited about the chance to share...I'm so happy about this new development...yea!!!

Hope you have a great one! Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back tomorrow with some new LAD sixlets...you'll love them...stay tuned!!

Sing a Song of Birthdays

Happy Wednesday friends. Tuesday came and went...without much technology...so here I am today! I have to say how much I love this great little image from the April Mix this month...so dainty and feminine...love it!! I thought it would pair up nicely in a little monocromatic action for today.
I used Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise and White for my colors; paper, ribbon, ink followed those lines. The image is from the LAD Mix, "It's good to be queen" and the sentiment is from the "Card Quotations" sixlet stamp set, also LAD. In real life the sentiment is much easier to read...just fyi! Oh, and pearls are kaisercrafts. I used my new nesties labels #12...isn't that a great shape!? My Fiskars Apron Lace punch came to work too...

Have a wonderful sunny sping day! We're hoping for some of the warmer weather to come visit again...with fingers crossed and hopes of getting out to ride bikes! Thanks so much for stopping by today, make it a great one!

Soccer Anyone?

Good Monday morning friends! Hope you had a great weekend! We had a good one, full of baseball, riding horses, and seeing long time friends that we love to pieces!! My son just started baseball and is so in LOVE with it all...it's so fun to watch him be so excited!! While I don't have a baseball "Little Person" from LAD, I wanted to share these fun little Soccer Guys...the image is one of the April Singles.
I used some of my new SU Sweet Pea paper, it is so delicous!! I paired up the Old Olive polka dots with some Aqua mist...and love how fresh they look together! I colored in my little sports star with some copics and then mounted him on some Aqua and Olive cardstock and then added some grass, from my MS grass border punch. The "You Rock My World" comes form the School Days stamp set from LAD.

For this second card, I stamped my soccer star onto a post-it, to make a mask and then stamped him again and again, making a little team of soccer stars! I think there could be more of these coming along the road...my son was SO excited to see this card...
I used the same sweet pea paper, but teamed it with Spring Rain and Not Quite Navy for my contrasting colors. I color the boys with copics, and then added a few stars. The "You're a star" comes from the "Out of this world" stamp set. My stars were made with my SU star punches.
Hope you are ready for a great week...here's to be really productive and on top of things...Spring Cleaning continues...Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care and make it great!!

Thank You

Happy Friday friends! I'm a bit later that I'd like to be sharing, but better late than never right!? I'm happy to share some fun from the Cutting Cafe today...Beautiful Blooms...SO fun! I love that there are wonderful flowers, and then a bunch of vases that you can choose to mix and match...
YEA Regina!:)
I used an old sketch from Amy Rysavy, and some older paper from SU. I love the bold bright colors..real red, summer sunrise, turquoise...yum!! So, I printed my flowers, used my nestabilites oval to cut the oval out, then used my NEW big scallop oval to make a nice frame for the flowers. I colored my vase, and cut it out, adding it to my flowers with a bit of dimensional foam. I colored my flowers with copics and then added my little sentiment!

Hope you're up for a wonderful weekend...I'm teaching a class for the women at our church tomorrow, on Family Fun and Traditions, so as soon as that is over, I'll be up for some relaxing! And hopefully enjoying more sunshine! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I've got some fun things to share with you with new LAD stamps...stay tuned!!

Cardabilities Sketch #1

Happy Thursday All! This is post #2 for today, so scroll down for the previous post, the fun Elzybells DT Challenge! Good morning and happy Spring! We enjoyed wonderful weather yesterday...it's amazing what 64 degrees outside can do to a person!!:) Such happiness came from my kids as they got to play outside! I have noticed the weather brings a bit more dirty jeans...grass stains and such....love that my kids are so active!:)

So, today is an exciting beginning...Sketch #1 of the Cardabilities Sketch Blog! Today is the reveal of what the Design Team has been working on...and let's just say it's all good!! All sorts of talent on this team...such a great group to work with!
I am still in need of Birthday cards. It's amazing, I produce so many cards, and still have need for Birthday cards! So, I'm on a Birthday card crusade! I love the sketch that Karan created...very easy to use and I'm sure will be used again and again.

I used my (favorite of the week) MM patterened paper, Summer Sunrise cardstock and ink, Hibiscus Burst ink, Butterfly Stamps and Happy Birthday stamp from SU. I used my EK Success scalloped scallop border punch and a MS butterfly punch. My pearls are from Kaisercrafts.

Hope you enjoy the sketch and why not play along with us!? On the cardabilites blog, you'll find a Mr. Linky, go ahead and play along and link up to share! I can't wait to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make it a great one!!

Elzybells DT Challenge

Good morning and Happy Thursday! This is my first post for today, but I've got another, so be sure to check out the other post, Cardabilities DT reveal of Sketch #1!

Today is Thursday and it's an "other" Thursday, which means it's time for the Elzybells DT challenge! Today we were challenged to make a single layer card. Embellish as desired, but keep the card only 1 layer. It's been a little while since making a single layer card, and the challenge was great! I kept wanting to add just a little strip of grass...or a little...but I tried hard to keep my layer just a single!:)
I've been enjoying the great images from Elizabeth from the April release! I love, love, love the birdies!! I wanted this card to be bright...and I think with the yellow and orange, it meets that goal!:) My image is called Giant Flower and can be found here. I colored my image with copics, added a few rhinestones from kaisercrafts, and some misc. ribbon from my stash. One thing that I love about clear rhinestones and copic markers is that you can make your rhinestone any color you need it to be....and it stays that color!! YEA for copics and clear rhinestones!!

Oh, the flower, how could I forget!? I have had this collection of flowers for about 4 years...and in my challenge from January 1, to "use what I have" I decided I needed to bust out some of my "vintage"(because they have been around in my stash for SO long...), flowers. I believe they are made by Prima.

The inside of my card is the place I chose for my sentiment, it says, "wishing you a beautiful day", it's called Beautiful Day, and can also be found right here, also a new sentiment from the April release.

I hope you take a few minutes to check out the other DT's cards for the challenge today...I'm sure we're in for a real treat!:) Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care and see you tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! Wednesday is upon us, that means that we're almost to the middle of April, WOW! I can't belive how fast time is going!! I had a great day yesterday, my oldest (son) is old enough to understand and has desire to play battleship...we played after he got home from school and it was so fun! Then we painted finger and toe nails for the girls...just a great time with my little gems...I SO love being a momma!! Just wanted to share that...:)

I've got several birthday's in my family...and it kills me that I'm late in sending a few birthday greetings, but better late than never, right!? So, here is one of the cards that will make for the mailbox asap!

I used some great American Crafts paper...it determined my colors for today. Summer Sunrise, Spring Rain, Berry Sorbet and Chocolate Chip were the colors included in the fun today. I used my Butterfly Dreams stamps from PTI for the main images, and I also used the butterfly die from PTI. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the smaller butterflies. Fiskars Apron lace border punch, large oval and scalloped oval punches from SU, and I think that's about it!

Have a great one friends!! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

love you

Good morning friends! I'm so happy Monday is done...it felt like one of those really long Mondays for me...Happy to have Tuesday to keep me company today!:)

If you're not a Monthly Mix Club member over at LAD, are you sure you don't want to join in on the fun!? I've 100% enjoyed working with this month's "It's good to be Queen" set. I love that there are so many different images--yet they can work together for the greater good as well...love it. You can check out the deets here, you get 20% off other purchases...etc...it's SUCH a good thing!:)
I use the cute little paisley from the Mix and New Leaf ink to make this fun little paisley paradise. I used a pink copic to color the little detailed flowers in, then mounted the paisley onto some New Leaf cardstock. I used some MM patterned paper, yes, I'm stuck. I LOVE the fresh color combinations of turquoise/blue, green, pink, orange...very well done MM!! I added the patterned paper to my card, then added the paisley panel to the card. I added a strip of New Leaf ribbon, and then stamped my sentiment with New Leaf ink. The sentiment comes from the Everyday Sayings stamp set from LAD.

For my flower, I used my scallop circle punch from SU and punched about 6 scallops. I wrinkled them all up, and then pierced them with my paper piercing tool. I added a couple layers of tissue flowers to the back, cut from my bloom nestability, and then added a brad to keep them all together. I added a New Leaf button to the center with some dimensional foam.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'm trying to be patient awaiting new stamps from Lizzie Anne...oh, you're going to love them!!! Have a great one and I'll see you back here tomorrow!! Toodles!

Good morning friends! I hope you've all had a great weekend. Ready for a new week? We had a great spring break, relaxing, full of snow and rain, and sloshy grass!! Here's hoping to a bit of dry weather...

My card for today is using one of my favorite images from the LAD April Mix, "It's good to be queen." I love this little flower image! I also really adore the thanks for everything sentiment!

I chose happy and bright colors for today's card. The patterned papers are from Making Memories and the cardstock is Summer Sunrise from PTI. I used Summer Sunrise ink and ribbon as well. My scallop border punch is from SU. I used some pearls from Kaisercrafts...and I think that sums it up!!

Hope your week starts off wonderfully!! Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!

Wonderful You

Good morning friends! I think the fact that I awoke to snow yesterday--yes in Washington state--made for some bright and happy color combos! It was freezing, I had the head dish at my feet, the kids were bundled up and enjoying a movie, and mommy pulled out all the bright colors! The snow was short lived, but it did make for a wonderful comforting fire last night...love that!!

Today I want to share a little something thing that just makes my heart happy. These fresh bright colors are so inspiring to me!! I love the combo of Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz and Summer Sunrise! I used my cute little dragonfly stamp from "It's Good to be Queen" stamp set...isn't it a great little image!? Fun, Fun, Fun.
I used the LAD sketch 120 for my inspriation, love it Jos. I stamped my dragon fly in the above mentioned inks, onto white paper. I cut one out, and mounted it on Raspberry Fizz paper and added it with some foam adhesive. I added a bit of bling-from Kaisercrafts-to each dragonfly, pearls and rhinestones. I mounted the dragonfly paper onto some Summer Sunrise cardstock. I added a strip of some PTI patterened paper from the Raspberry Fizz collection, isn't it delicious!? A strip of Summer Sunrise ribbon, and then attached my focal image. I used a bundle of tulle and a nice summer sunrise bow...then added my sentiment. Wonderful You is also part of the "It's Good to be Queen" stamp set.

Hope you have a great day today! My kids are so excited for today...lunch at Daddy's office...it is always quite exciting;)! Have a great one and see you soon!

Good morning! Today is the day you can run over to the Elzybells shop and fill your cart with these fun stamps...you're sure to find several you can't live without!!

For this card today, I used the Bird Bath image and then the Beautiful Day sentiment. Isn't that a great sentiment!? I love it for sure!!

I used some American Crafts papers along with a little bit of Lemon Tart cardstock. I used my copics to color the imates and added some little yellow pearls from kaisercrafts to the center of the little yellow flowers.

Hope you have a great one!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!:)

Sneak Peek Day #3

Good morning friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I have good news, I have finished my civic duty and thankfully was released from the cases I was in the selection pool for. I'm thankful for the judges thinking that indeed being a mother of 3 small children is a hardship for me!! So, I'm finished with that stressor...yea!!

Ok, so today for my sneak peek...I used this cute image called Giant Flower and sentiment called Old Friend. Aren't they fun!? I just love this fun little bird...Elizabeth did such a great job on this release!! I used the patterned paper for my palette choices. The paper is from Making Memories and some SU cardstock. I have to admit This color palette was a bit out of my comfort zone. I love purple and a lot of the shades there of, but I hardly EVER use purple in my designing...so here's to being brave and trying new things!:)

I hope you have a great day! Now we get to enjoy a few days of spring break...here's to so me fun!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care and I'll be back tomorrow with one more sneak peek before the release!!

Good morning! Happy Tuesday to you all. I'm off to Jury Duty again today...hopefully today will be the end of it!:) I wanted to get this fun little sneak peek posted to get you excited about the new Elzybells release coming Thursday! Could this little bird be cuter!?
My colors were chosed from my paper--it is Cosmo Cricket. I love the bold yellow with red..and the splash of green! I used the image called Bird Bath...isn't it so cute!? And on the inside of the card it says, "Wishing you a beautiful day!" Both great additions to your stamping groove!

I hope you have a great one...keep your fingers crossed for me....thanks in advance!! Take care and I'll see you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!!

Elzybells Sneak Peek!

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a great Easter Sunday yesterday, the kids had a fun little egg and basket hunt yesterday afternoon...it was really fun to watch my little Ruby be so excited about the new adventure....it was great. Today starts Spring Break for my kids, they are excited. I've also been summoned for Jurry Duty...I'm hoping I don't make the selection process...it's the who takes care of my three young children that is keeping me from thinking very positively about today...so here's to hoping I'm not quite what they are looking for!!!

Today is a fun day on the Elzybells front! New stamps will be released this week...and they are fun ones! My images today are called "Busy Bee's" and "Plant Sunshine". I love the images and have had a lot of fun working with them!!
My color scheme was found in this great "Dear Lizzy" paper from American Crafts. I love this line....and knowing "Lizzy" makes it all the more fun to use! I ended up adding some Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart cardstock to my mix. The dark green is the backside of the floral paper. I used some Crushed Curry ribbon from SU and copics to color my image.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check the other DT blogs for some great new samples...fun, fun, fun!! Have a great one and see you back here tomorrow!

TGIF!

Good morning friends! Wow, another quick week...boy, time sure does fly! We're gearing up for a wonderful weekend, and a week off of school! Spring Break is here and my kids are so excited for the relaxation they think they need!

My card today is a fun new image for me, it's from the Cutting Cafe and is from the Beautiful Trees set. I love these trees...so cute! They have a lot of options...and I love that part of these great images from Regina! The sentiment is from the All Occasion 1 circle set.
My card is a white base, then a green patterned paper from MM. My trees were printed on PTI white paper, then colored with some copics. I added a few primas, some floral fusion flowers, and then some MS grass, it was made from New Leaf cardstock. I used 3 layers of grass, using dimensionals to add the top layer. I just love the additional dimension that gives this great grass...thanks so much Martha!! I punched my sentiment with a 3/4" circle punch and then mounted it on a 1" circle of the green polka dot patterned paper. I used my corner chomper to round my corners...love that tool too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I appreciate it so much! Take care, have a wonderful Easter weekend...enjoy the sun...if you get to see it! We've got our fingers crossed!! Make it great!!

Elzybells DT Challenge

Good morning friends! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just had a bit of not feeling so well around the house...and that makes for little or no facetime with the computer! Today is the Elzybells DT Challenge! We were challenged to make a circle card...so here is my card!
I used my nestabilites to cut a vanilla scalloped circle card, then used the classic circle to cut my Basic Grey paper called Ambrosia. And one more classic circle with vanlla cardstock. I added a bit of lace I found at JoAnn's the other day, made my "Wyla". My poppies are from the Floral Fusion stamp set and my sentiment is from the Tags Floral Circle stamp set. I stamped my poppies with Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry ink, then cut them out. I used a glue pen and some Brown Sparkly Fluff from OCL on the centers of each poppy. I stamped my sentiment with chocolate chip ink. I gave a few of the poppies a lift with some dimensional adhesive.

I like circle cards...don't make the often, but I think I'm going to make more of them...

Hope you have a graet day! Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care and make it a great one!!
