Happy Spring!

Hello friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a great one...super happy that MSU made it to the Final 4!! I love NCAA basketball...the game yesterday about killed me...MSU won by 1 point, talk about stress!! So, good luck State!!

I wanted to share a little project that is now sitting on top of our TV. I used the "Lucky You" March Mix from LAD to make a little something for my house...something I've determined that I'm going to do more of!!
I used some MM Flower Patch paper, Vanilla, Lemon Tart, and New Leaf cardstock. I stamped my little chicks...then omitted the momma chick and stamped two more times and then colored them in with copics. I used my MS grass punch..LOVE it...I made 3 layers of grass. I sponged them a bit with New Leaf ink, and used dimensionals on the last layer to give it a bit of dimension. I tied a New leaf ribbon, added some tulle and a Lemon Tart button...and then added my sentiment. My Word Window punch and label punches went to work for the sentiment. The last step was to simply add it to a frame! I left the glass out of the frame, just an fyi.
Here's a close up of my little chicks.

Hope you have a great one! Thanks so much for stopping by!! If you're looking for some discounted stamps...take a peek at my boutique! I've updated and hope you can find something you need!!;)

I heart my mom

Happy Friday friends! Hope you all survived the week! I'm all sorts of excited for this weekend...Sweet Sixteen to Elite Eight NCAA basketball...YEA!! Go State!! We're all really excited for the game tonight...GO GREEN!

I used some Sweet Blush cardstock, MM paper(flower patch), tissue paper, bloom nestabilites, Ocean Tides ribbon and Ink, my SU border punch, and my "It's good to be queen" stamp set from LAD.

This is a little something I made for, if you can guess, yes, my Mom. Love that woman to little tiny pieces. She is perfection in a mother, and every other way too. She is my longest and most sincere friend. She supports me, encourages me, and always has love to give. ALWAYS has love to give. She isn't ever too busy to chat. She loves to just "chat" having no specific need...just the need to chat. She is selfless...constantly thinking about her family and those around. She loves my kids...and they know it. She spends time with them, she makes cookies, cupcakes and treats them all like they are something special. She helps me be a better mom. She helps me be a better wife. She helps me be a better sister. She helps me be a better friend...She just helps me be better period.

After writing about her, I thought I'd better show you what a beautiful momma she is!! This is a photo of her on their last trip to Germany (she came 3 times in 2 years!) before we moved home. It was a wonderful trip...so many wonderful memories. That's another thing she is awesome at, making wonderful memories...I want to be even more like her. Love, Love, Love her.

I've got this card in the mail to her...and yes, she'll see it here first...(sorry to ruin the fun mail mom!) but I wanted to share a little bit of why I love her with you...she is one of my favorite people.

Have a wonderful weekend!! Make it great and Go GREEN!!

**I have added a list of Stamps and a few misc. tools that are looking for new homes. The stamps are all SU and priced very low...**You can see the list on my "Boutique" tab at the top of my blog.**

Thanks for Everything

Good morning! I hope you are doing well. I'm having a crazy busy week...are you? Maybe it's the beautiful weather...really gets me going! When it's rainy and gray I'd much rather just stay home and dry!:) We had a wonderful afternoon at the park yesterday. It just amazed me how big my little Ruby is! Being 2 and as tall as the 3 year old girls she knows, she wants so badly to be big! She wants to climb up the slide, go down on her belly, stand on top of the middle of the teeder-todder....just be a big girl! She is still my sweet baby, but my days are moving too fast for my liking!! Why can't my babies stay small!? Anyway, just something I've been thinking about this week...

So, here is my card for today! Another image from the "It's good to be queen" April Mix, from LAD. It has such a great assortment of images...really fun! I {heart} this flower!

I used Jen's Sketch for the layout, and decided that I really love this layout! It could be so dressed up...but is super just clean and simple too! Way to go Jen! My color palette was decided upon by my paper...yummy MM paper. I also used some Summer Sunrise cardstock and Ink, and Hibiscus Burst ink. I added a couple of buttons...simple and sweet!:)

Thanks so much for stopping by friends! It is so fun to have such great supporting friends...I appreicate you all so much! So, like my post says, "Thanks for everything!" Make it great!!

Sping is in the air!

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Wow...another week flying by! It's been a good one...lots of great things to keep me busy! I went to a Kindergarten "info" night at the school last night. My daughter is almost counting down the days she's so excited...bummer for me...LOVE having her around! We've been having wonderful weather!! I know that the weather has had a bit to do with my projects as of late...pastel colors, chicks, ducks, etc...and today a bicycle!

This new bicycle image from the April Mix "It's good to be queen" is so fun! I saw some great paper at Paperzone the other day and knew it would pair with this image perfect!! It is made by Hambly.
I loved the Raspberry Fizz and Real Red combo...so delicious! A little scallop border, some corner chomping...and you've got my take on Kendra's Sketch for the week! Oh, and I used some pink rhinestones from Kaisercrafts for the center of my wheels...so fun!!
This next card is simple, clean and 100% sping! I stamped my bicycle, (doesn't a bicycle sound more romantic than a "bike"?! I think it does...so this is a bicycle!), with Raspberry Fizz again, right to my white card. I made the grass out of Spring Moss, I made a double layer, just fyi. Then I moved onto the clouds. The cloud I used is from the "Lucky You!" March Mix set. I stamed it onto a post-it note, three times and then cut it out. I laid the clouds where I wanted them and then used a sponge and Spring Rain ink to make a lovely spring sky! My sentiment was also stamped in Spring Rain ink.
I hope you have a great day. Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make it a great one and see you tomorrow!

So, that being said, here is my first Cutting Cafe card! I saw this cute little duck image and was so excited to work with it!! The duck is from the Duck Shaped Card and the cute little circle sentiment is from the All Occasions Circle Word Set 1 .

The image is a pdf that I printed onto this great polka dot paper from AC. The file that this image belongs to also has a duck shaped card...it's too cute! I had this idea in my head and thought it would be perfect for my girlfriend's new baby!! I used my new MS grass punch. Let me tell you a little secret..you're going to be seeing that grass A LOT! It is perfect! I've had too much fun...it's SO great!!

Hope you have a great day!! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow...back into the groove! I've got some new LAD stuff to share...the new mix is AWESOME!

Being Together...

Happy Friday friends! Have you been enjoying March Madness!? Is there anything better than college sports!? My husband and son are enroute to watch a couple of games...in Spokane. They are so excited! My son thinks this is the best thing to ever happen to him...I love that he loves it all so much! The girls are going to have a card class here, then head to the mall to do a bit of shopping...and have a fun girly night...we're also very excited!!

I wanted to share a card I made last week...it is my take on the LAD sketch 117. The image is from the March Mix, Lucky You. I love this image...it makes me so happy!
I used some Raspberry Fizz patterned paper and cardstock, along with white. I stamped the image first in Hibiscus Burst then rolled the edges in Raspberry Fizz and then stamped it on white cardstock. I mounted the image on the card, then added my buttons...pretty easy! I have the perfect person in mind to send this to....love that!

Hope you have a wonderful day today! I've got a bunch of home decor projects going on right now...I might be brave and share them here...we'll see how brave I can be!:) Just a bit of spring decorating...

Make it great!!

Easter Blessings

Good morning friends! I hope you are all doing well! We had a great weekend, and even got to sleep in yesterday morning so 'springing ahead' wasn't as hard as usual...yea!! We enjoyed beautiful weather for the most part and had a good time together!

I don't know why I feel like I can't keep track of the days...how can today be March 15th already?! It's really like the 5th or 6th in my head...not quite sure why! Being the 15th, that means that the LAD April Monthly Mix will be previewed today...I just got mine and will have some samples to share tomorrow!! It is super fun!!

Today I wanted to share a couple more samples using the March Singles. The image for today is a great sentiment..."Easter Blessings". I really like this sentiment, the font, style, etc...so it was fun to play with it!!
This first card was super quick and easy. I used some Shabby Green Door paper, from the 'on the wings of a dream' collection and a vanilla card base. I stamped my Easter Blessings sentiment, with chocolate chip ink, added a bit of vanilla grosgrain ribbon and a spot of tulle...and there it is!

I love this paper by SGD, it is so pretty! I just realized that this paper inspried my shopping on Saturday...new spring decor for my house...I'm hoping to get it going today...SO excited!!
This second card was inspired by this great new paper...from Making Memories. I just love the colors..just yummy! I used a Lemon Tart card, and added a white eyelet border on the left side. I just cut my card a bit short of 5 1/2, then added that eyelet border-it's from a MS punch-to the back of the card, it's kind of fun! I used some pretty MM papers, Lemon Tart ribbon, New Leaf Button, and twine. I stamped my sentiment with chocolate chip ink, then used my nesties to cut it out and make a lemon tart scallop oval to layer it onto. I used some yellow pearls in the center of my flowers, they are kaisercraft.
Hope you all have a great day! See you tomorrow for some fun with my new LAD stamps!!

March Singles

Happy TGIF friends! Hope you're ready for a wonderful weekend!:) We've got a few fun things planned, but not too much...and I've got to admit, I {love} weekends like that! I've got a couple of things to share today. A few days ago, I received my March singles from LAD. Let's just say that I love them! Are you surprised!?

With Easter being just around the corner, I was really happy to get such wonderful stamps to work with! I love the new beginnings of Spring time, the celebration of Jesus Christ, everything fresh and new! These sentiments inspired me. I have made these cards with intent to send them to a few special people in my life. There are a few people that have helped me to want to draw closer to Him. They follow the example He set, and they have helped me want to be more like Him. So, these cards already have homes to go to...and I can't wait to get them in the mail!

For this first card I wanted the focus to be on the sentiment...and I had this idea...and I really like how it turned out! I wanted it clean, focused and elegant. I used my Flower Fusion sizzlet from SU to cut the flowers and then mash them up a bit and put them together with chestnut brown brads from AC. The leafs-very subtle-are made from the Little Leaves sizzlet from SU, cut from New Leaf cardstock from PTI. The sentiment was stamped with chocolate chip ink.
This second card used something I've had in my stash FOR-EVER! Those large white flowers are a Heidi Swapp creation and I've had SUCH a hard time using them! I've pulled them out plenty, but they really get me churning! I think I like how the use of them here turned out. I didn't fold the flower, I cut two large blooms in half, and then layerd the 4 layers on top of each other. That made a large difference, cutting them in half instead of just folding them...crazy huh!? My patterened papers are from MME, the Love Me Do collection. I used my corner chomper on two opposite corners for a fun little detail. I attached my flower, and then added my sentiment with dimensionals. I used chocolate chip cardstock to mount my sentiment.

I hope you are enjoying the budding of trees, the chirping of birds, and the rebirth that the wonderful earth is going through...such a wonderful time of year! Thanks so much for stopping by! Make it great!!

Happy Spring

Hello friends! I hope your Thrusday is going well. My title was 100% accurate, happy spring in deed...the rain has again returned to the North West and yep, it's going to be wonderful flowers later on! I think that might have been my motiviation for a soft and fresh, spring-ish card today! The images used on my card come from the LAD March Mix, "Lucky You" and Spring Rain stamp sets. I'm really enjoying this mix..and heard that my April mix is on it's way...YEA!
I used Lemon Tart and Sweet Blush from PTI for my colors today, buttons, ink, paper and ribbon. My card is Lemon Tart, followed by a layer of white cardstock. My chomper chopmed each lower right coner too! I started by stamping the flower from the Spring Rain stamp set in Lemon Tart ink, onto my backgound white layer. It's really faint, but when holding the card, you can definately see it.

Next, I stamped my flower in grass image with Sweet Blush and then mounted it on Lemon Tart. I mounted it to the card, added a few buttons and a nice Blush bow. I added my sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink.

There you have it friends! I'm having some fun today, so I'll be sharing more fun tomorrow!:) Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it so much! Make it a great one!

Just Because!

Good morning friends! Thank you so much for the sweet comments on yesterday's card...you made my day!:) It is wonderful to have supportive and great online friends-that translate into wonderful friends when you get to meet in real life!:) So, thanks for filling my cup!

My card for today. I've had this piece of patterned paper with tulle(surprised!?) ruffles on it for some time. It's just been patiently waiting for it's time to come to the party. I finally decided that I either needed to toss it or use it! So, today is the day!
I added it to a New Leaf card and then added some ribbon. I cut a nesties bloom out of an old book and then scrunched it up a bit and added it a New Leaf button and added it to my card. My sentiment is from the Mega Mixed Messages stamp set from PTI.

Thanks a bundle for stopping by. I hope you have a great one...make it great!!

Thanks So Much!

Good morning friends! Good news, my baby is doing better! It is so hard to have a sick little one, but when she just wants to sit and be held...not much better than that anywhere! Thank you for all of your well wishes. Here's to the end of that!

I wanted to take part of a few fun challenges today. I'm using Jen's SFYTT, from this past Saturday. I've loved Jen's sketches for a long time, but been slow on sharing my takes on them!:) I loved this sketch...and the inspriation from the Embellish Magazine's current challenge...delicous spring colors!
So, for my card, I used the new Butterfly Dreams stamp set from PTI. I LOVE, love, love it. I used Lemon Tart, Melon Berry, Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise for my color palette. Ashley has a fantastic eye for inspiration!!

I used my new butterfly die that coordinates with the butterfly dreams stamp set. I cut several butterflies out, some white and some of the colors listed above. I stamped a butterfly and then layered it onto a colored butterfly and then added some rhinestones. My card is a lemon tart base. The Melon Berry layer has been embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder.

I added a Summer Sunrise border and a splash of ribbon..then added my white circle to the card-and added my butterflies. My sentiment was stamped with Summer Sunrise ink onto Lemon Tart paper. The sentiment is from the Mega Mixed Messages stamp set.

I hope that you have a geat day! Thanks so much for stopping by, make it a great one!

Moxie Fab!

Hey all! Happy Monday to you! My day was well planned...and my baby woke up with a fever. Everything is on hold until tomorrow. She's doing better now, but it is so hard to have a sick baby! I feel so sorry for her! She's spent the morning laying down with her blankie and wanting to be held by me. So, my list of things to do will wait...I'm loving this cuddling time!

I did get a few minutes to sit down at my desk this am. She's busy with my adhesive drawer. She keeps saying "hmmm...let's see..." she's unloading and reloading and then doing it again! So, I stole a few minutes to get to play with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger for the week! Oh my word...let's just say I had a great time!
My color palette included, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, and Summer Sunrise. I used the Floral Fusion sizzlet from SU to create several flower die cuts, then wadded them up, layered them up, punched a hole with my crop-a-dile for a brad and added a chestnut brown AC brad to the center of my flowers...YUM!

I tied nice Summer Sunrise ribbon across the top of the card, added a tuft of tulle behind the bow. My sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages, from PTI. I stamped it with chocolate chip ink.

Ok, baby needs me now. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! See you tomorrow!

Happy Spring!

Good morning peeps! The weekend is almost upon us! I'm super excited to just have a couple of days to kick it and regroup! Maybe a little cleaning, but the weather has been treating us so well, I don't want to be inside cleaning! Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you!

I got some new goodies yesterday...YUM. Let's just say it was a box of pure delight! My most recent order from PTI...paper, ink, ribbons, buttons, stamps and a few die cuts! Oh my. I really just want everyone to leave me alone in my office for a few days...that would be so great! I'll take whatever time I can carve, and I have a little something to share with the first run out of the box!
I loved the little Egg Hunt set as soon as I saw it. As I opened my box of fun today, these beautiful colors just begged to be first in line. My colors today, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, and Berry Sorbet. I love the rich color palette that PTI offers, the colors just feel so rich and creamy! Oh, and let's talk about another think I love. I love the new PTI dies...they seriously ROCK.

So, my card for today. I stamped the white layer with Polka Dots 2 with Summer Sunrise and Lemon tart ink. I added a scalloped scallop Berry Sorbet border and then a tiny strip of Lemon Tart. My bow is Berry Sorbet and a Lemon tart button.

I cut a couple of eggs out, with a trip through the Big Shot, then stamped them with a couple different egg stamps from the Egg Hunt stamp set. I mounted the eggs, the Lemon Tart one with dimensional adhesive, then stamped my little sentiment, in Berry sorbet ink. My last touch was the corner chomper to the bottom two corners.

Oh, it was fun. I'm looking forward to the weekend and more time with my new stash! Oh, and as I was putting the goods away I organized my ribbon by color(again) and it looks so pretty in my Ribbon Clip-it-Up! My daughter just walked in-she is 5. She said, "Oh, Mom! Your ribbon looks so pretty! You put all the same colors together...it looks so great!" I'm so happy that my daughter even noticed...it made me happy!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you Monday!

Elzybells DT Challenge

Good morning friends! Happy Thursday to you all. I'm excited to share my DT challenge card with you this morning. I happen to LOVE green. I'm not sure if you were aware of that or not, so I wanted to start my post by just letting you know!:)

I used my Foliage fervour, Floral fervour and Floral tags-circles stamp sets today. We had a sketch to use for the challenge today, so here is what I made with it! You can see the sets here, in the Elzybells store. My card base is old olive cardstock followed by a layer of white cardstock and then my top layer is certainly celery cardstock. I stamped the Foliage fervour stamp was inked with olive ink and then stamped several times on celery paper. Next, I inked up my little flower from the Floral fervour stamp set, with Sugar Candy pigment ink-also from Elzybells. I used some white embossing powder and my heat tool to emboss the flowers. I sponged a little celery ink around each of the white flowers.

I tied a nice pretty bow around the center and then added my little sentiment. I stamped the happy mother's day circle with olive ink onto olive cardstock then used my nesties to cut it out. I mounted it on a white scallop circle, also cut with nesties. For the center of my circle, I used a bit of my "scratch paper" from my card front and just punched it out with a 1 3/8" circle punch and then added some rhinestones.

I hope you get a chance to look at the DT and their fun cards they made for this challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great one!

Fun Flowers

Good afternoon friends! I hope your Wednesday is going well! We're having a little sunshine today...and after some rainy days, it is very welcome! My kids are screaming whilst jumping on the trampoline in the backyard with neighbors...fun for them! I want to share a quick little card, based off the SCS Sketch Challenge 270. I have this great paper from Kaisercrafts and I love it! The color scheme is so yummy!
All the patterned paper is Kaisercraft. My cardstock is very vanilla and chocolate chip. I laid a strip of chocolate chip across my card, then added three different patterns of paper. I added a scallop border-with the help of my ek success scallop scallop border punch. I stamped my sentiment-which is from the Card Quotations stamp set from LAD. My ribbon was tied into a bow, then attached to my card with a line of scor-tape. My button is an Ocean Tides button from PTI, tied with some twine and then attached to my ribbon with a glue dot.

I used my Big Shot and Flower Fusion sizzlet to make some fun layered flowers. I just scrunched them up a bit and then added a brad to keep them together. I added them to my card with glue dots.

I hope you have a great mid week evening! I'll be back tomorrow with an Elzybells DT challenge! See you then! Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!

In the Kitchen

Good morning friends! I had a ton of fun working with this fun stamp set from LAD! It's called In the Kitchen...and paired up with the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Mini Deck (which you can get in the LAD store too) I just had so much fun! I love the sweet sentiments that this set contains...

I have a girlfriend that uses "Love Muffin" for several of our friends. I'm so excited to send her this card...what a cute little love muffin!
My card is a 5.5x3" Vanilla card, then a layer of patterned paper. I added some vanilla ribbon(su) some tulle(surprise!) and a sticky toffee(Elzybells) button. I stamped the little muffin image in a row, and then added my sentiment. I stamped the muffin onto some patterned paper, so I had a good variety of muffin papers around my muffins! They are all coordinating papers from the mini deck. I used the heart toothpick to stick into the "love muffin"...isn't that fun!? I colored my muffins with copics and then layerd my muffins onto some patterned paper.
This next card was made to play along with the LAD sketch challenge for this week. I love this little toaster image...it was a definate favorite of fans at CHA! I paper pieced the toaster, colored in the toast with copics. My rectangle scallops came into play with my Big Shot, vanilla and creamy caramel were the colors I used. I used my distress ink to sponge up the edges a bit, on all the vanilla edges. My button is a sticky toffee(Elzybells) button with a bit of tulle and twine.

In a pickle...isn't that a fun sentiment? I know a couple of people that would really get a kick out of this card...can't wait to send it ou! The layout for this card was inspired by CPS 156. I used a circle instead of a rectangle, but really liked the clean and fresh layout.

I stamped my pickle jar, colored it with copics, mounted it onto some great green paper...cut into a scallop circle with my nesties. Oh, I did paper piece the lid of the jar--I wanted it to look like a fabric covered lid--nice deisgn of that jar!! I attached a couple of strips of paper, one scalloped by my scallop border punch, then added some vanilla ribbon(su). I added my sentiment and then added my pickle jar with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreicate you so much! I hope you have a great day! I've got a card class at the elementary school today, so I'm working on getting all finished up. I'll share our projects tomorrow...they turned out really fun.
Have a great one...

Poppy Seed Challenge and SSSC

Happy Monday friends! Hope your day has been great. Mine has been a typical 'manic Monday'. I was happy to get a bit of work done today, I'll share that with you tomorrow, but I also made time to plaly along with Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge. I've been a fan of Lisa's for a long time and it was so fun to meet her at CHA! She was doing a card make and take at the Marvy Uchida booth and I had a good time getting to know her a little bit. She is super kind and as you all know VERY talented...so I'm excited for her new challenges! This first challenge had 3 "seeds" 1. crystals 2. flower stamp 3. light yellow. I enjoyed the challenge! I'm really stuck on yellow lately so it was fun!
I decided to use one of the sets Lisa has designed for Papertrey Ink, as my flower stamp. The stamp set is called Wishing You. It is a great set that I've used a lot...love it! So, I used So Saffron, Real Red, and New Leaf for my colors today. The layout for my card came from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #58. It sure is fun to have so many talented people sharing their ideas for fun challenges! Isn't it!?
I stamped my white cardstock with a delicious polka dot stamp from Polka Dot Basics II. I used So Saffron Ink to make these yummy polkas! Next I stamped my stems on another piece of white cardstock with New Leaf ink. I added my tulips with So Saffron and Real Red ink. I used my curly label punch to make the three focal points and then mounted the one with the red tulip on some red cardstock. I added dimensional adhesive to the center image.

I used some New Leaf cardstock and my wide scallop border punch to make a nice little border and then added a strip of New Leaf ribbon. I stamped my sentiment with New Leaf Ink and then used my wide oval punch to punch it out. I mounted the sentiment on a scallop oval made from So Saffron.

I added a single little red rhinestone/crystal, to the base of the red tulip and that was my third requirement for the challenge, so I was done!
Thanks a bundle for stopping by friends! I hope you have a great week! See you tomorrow with some fun from LAD and Cosmo Cricket! Have a good one and make it great!
