Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes...

Good morning! I hope you had a great Valentine's Day! I loved yesterday--my kids have a great memory (so it seems) of our traditional special breakfast. My daughters were both so excited for breakfast it almost felt like Christmas joy! It was so fun! They all loved their Valentines...and it was great!

Today is teh 15th, which means GRS design team challenge! All the girls were challenged to make a 6x6 recipe card for this challenge! And we were supposed to include one of our favorite recipes! Well, how to choose a favorite recipe...I love to cook and have so many delicious things in mind! I thought of something that my kids get all excited over...and into my head pops this fantastic recipe!

Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes. They are in a word, perfection. Delicious. Yum-O! 

I paired them up with a little vintage-ish paper and a awesome yellow mixer! Wouldn't you LOVE a mixing bowl like this on your mixer!? A girl can dream, right!? The image and sentiment come from the In the Kitchen stamp set...so fun!

June DT Challenge

Good morning friends! Today is the Lizzie Anne Designs, DT challenge day! Tricia challenged us to create a card based on something we will be doing this summer! So, one of the things my kids are excited about is doing cooking classes!

We are going to have a weekly class and we're even going to aim to record it, so they can watch it back! We are all really excited about it! I pulled out an older set, In the Kitchen, for this challenge!
I used some fun "kitchen-ish" paper, don't you think!? My ribbon is Bo-Bunny...and buttons from PTI!

In the Kitchen

Good morning friends! I had a ton of fun working with this fun stamp set from LAD! It's called In the Kitchen...and paired up with the new Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Mini Deck (which you can get in the LAD store too) I just had so much fun! I love the sweet sentiments that this set contains...

I have a girlfriend that uses "Love Muffin" for several of our friends. I'm so excited to send her this card...what a cute little love muffin!
My card is a 5.5x3" Vanilla card, then a layer of patterned paper. I added some vanilla ribbon(su) some tulle(surprise!) and a sticky toffee(Elzybells) button. I stamped the little muffin image in a row, and then added my sentiment. I stamped the muffin onto some patterned paper, so I had a good variety of muffin papers around my muffins! They are all coordinating papers from the mini deck. I used the heart toothpick to stick into the "love muffin"...isn't that fun!? I colored my muffins with copics and then layerd my muffins onto some patterned paper.

This next card was made to play along with the LAD sketch challenge for this week. I love this little toaster image...it was a definate favorite of fans at CHA! I paper pieced the toaster, colored in the toast with copics. My rectangle scallops came into play with my Big Shot, vanilla and creamy caramel were the colors I used. I used my distress ink to sponge up the edges a bit, on all the vanilla edges. My button is a sticky toffee(Elzybells) button with a bit of tulle and twine.

In a pickle...isn't that a fun sentiment? I know a couple of people that would really get a kick out of this card...can't wait to send it ou! The layout for this card was inspired by CPS 156. I used a circle instead of a rectangle, but really liked the clean and fresh layout.

I stamped my pickle jar, colored it with copics, mounted it onto some great green paper...cut into a scallop circle with my nesties. Oh, I did paper piece the lid of the jar--I wanted it to look like a fabric covered lid--nice deisgn of that jar!! I attached a couple of strips of paper, one scalloped by my scallop border punch, then added some vanilla ribbon(su). I added my sentiment and then added my pickle jar with dimensionals.

You're the grate-est!

Happy Friday all!! I'm really ready for a weekend!! I've spent this week in the "spring-cleaning" mode. The sun was out, my windows were SO dirty!! And everything just really wanted to be cleaned! I feel more organized now, simplified in my ways and happy to have maybe one day before all my hard work is undone!;) My little 2 year old is VERY good at making what she calls "meh" which translates to mess. She's really a good mess maker!

So, onto a fun card for today. First, let me just say I'm SO in love with the SU Crushed Curry color! It's in everything and can be found everywhere right now...a perfect happy color if you ask me! i'm kind of stuck on that spool of ribbon as of late...love, love, love it!My stamps today came from my In the Kitchen stamp set from LAD. It was SO fun to watch the great response to this set at CHA, everyone loved it! I haven't had a chance to ink it up, until this week....and I LOVE it!:)

I stamped the grater/cheese image several times onto vanilla cardstock with brown ink. I added my sentiment, also in brown ink. I added a little apron lace chocolate chip border, with help from my apron lace border punch. I used some new Cosmo Cricket paper...yum! My patterned papers are from the Garden Variety paper pack, which you can now get in the LAD store, here! Crushed Curry ribbon, brown tulle, brown button...fun, funf, fun.
