Thinking of You

Good morning friends! Happy Friday! We've got 1/2 the family in school and the other half out, so we're in for a fun day! Speaking of fun, here is more fun! I am sharing some GREAT new products from the Shabby Green Door! Oh my...please walk and don't run girls...this new line is awesome! You can see the full line here, on the website. You'll want to make sure you don't drool...it's really that awesome!!
I started with my background paper--I used the Decorative Brocade stamp and stamped it in Chocolate Chip Ink(SU) onto vanilla cardstock, then repeated the image until I had a nice patterned paper. I used the Vintage Background stamp and some Pink Pirouette ink and then stamped over the Brocade image to make a very pretty background! I used my corner chomper to round the edges of my vanilla paper.

I used my eyelet border punch on some vanilla cardstock and then stamped it with my Je Pense A Toi stamp...(thinking of you in French...my new favorite sentiment!) inked with Chocolate Chip ink. I added my sentiment strip to my background, added a strip of vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. I added a little flair...a chocolate and pink pirouette button tied with a little twine. I added a little bit of chocolate tule...and then mounted it on a Pink Pirouette card.

I'm in serious LOVE with this new product line...stay tuned for more goodies from Shabby Green Door! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend! Toodles for now!

I wanted to share the other cards in this little set of card from the beautiful blue tissue I received from my girlfriend! I kept the same colors, used the same papers and just switched up the sentiments and layouts a bit.
The details of this card, paper by Amy Butler, Fiskars Apron Lace border punch, stamp PTI.

Thank You!

Well, hello friends! I am so happy to stop by and chat with you all today! I had a WONDERFUL time at CHA...wow. My expectations were exceeded by more than I can say. I met some of the most wonderful friends! It was wonderful to put some voices to the faces of many online friends, some of whom I've known for several years! It was wonderful to meet many new friends...that I'm sure will become more and more dear now that the friendship has been made. It was wonderful.

I wanted to say a big "Thank You" to those of you that support me in my little piece of the blog world...it means so much to have such friends as you all! Thank you for the support you offer...it is so great!

I made this card right before I left for California. I was cleaning off my desk and getting it ready to leave for a few days--and I got a little sidetracked! I had a great friend come visit, and she brought me a belated b.day gift. This blue tissue paper, that I used for the flower, was the filling in the bag she gave me! The first thing I thought when I saw this beautiful blue tissue is that it would match some of my favorite Amy Butler paper!!:) The happy dance in my brain had begun!
To create the flower, I used my Bloom die from Spellbinders(by the way I'm so excited for the new Spellbinders dies that are coming...YEA!!), in 3 different sizes and cut through about 20 layers of the tissue paper. I used a SU basic gray brad to hold them all together, and then messed the up a bit with the eraser of a pencil-it kind of "grips" the tissue and works well to wrinkle it up just right! I set it aside and created my card base next.

My base is a Very Vanilla card base. I used some Basic Gray cardstock and some Amy Butler patterned paper for my background. My background was just strips of each papers. My cardstock was punched with a border punch from Fiskars. I also added a strip of Basic Gray ribbon just under the top border.

I stamped my sentiment from the Giga Guidelines (PTI) stamp set, with Basic Gray ink. Now came time to add my flower. I used my handy dandy Zip glue to add the flower to my card--I LOVE that glue!! And I was finished! I made a set of 4 cards with this color palette, I wanted to use all the tissue, so I made as many flowers as I had tissue for. I'll be sharing them throughout the week!:) I've also got some fun with new Lizzie Anne Designs...all sorts of fun coming along!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a wonderful week...make it great!

Lots of very happy and soon to be a crazy amount of very happy people around! What a fantastic time!! We're off to a fun breakfast and then onto the show...YEA! So much excitement in the air!

I wanted to pop in quick and say hello, and also share this card I made to participate in the Embellish Magazine Color Challenge, with Stripes! Ashley designed some FAB digital paper that fit the both of these challenges, delicious rich colors and dramatic stripes! I LOVE the paper she designed...glad to have that in my stash now!
This was a super quick and easy card, I downloaded the paper and printed it on whisper white cardstock. Then with just a couple punches, some ribbon and my new favorite sentiment stamp(from PTI), I've got a wonderful valentine card! I'm thinking this might be the card that makes it's way to my husband's Valentine breakfast this year!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreiciate it! I'll be back...with a few highlights from today...which I'm sure will enclude meeting a load of wonderful people, laughing, seeing super product...buying super products:), and an all around wonderful day! If you're around, I'll be at the Lizzie Anne Booth for a few make and takes today...and we're right across from the Splitcoast booth...so be sure to come on over! The LAD girls have a few great specials and a great bunch of product to have fun with!!

Have a great one and see you soon!!

Elzybells Challenge 35

Happy Thursday friends! I hope you're having a great week..only one more day until the weekend, YEA! My weekend gets an early start this week, as I'm off to CHA tonight...Yippy!!

Today the Elzybells Design Team was challenged to make our own patterned paper. The first time I used this circle of hearts, I knew I wanted to use it to make some paper! So, this challenge was a lot of fun!
My colors used were the new colors released this week, Strawberry Fool, Pink Lemonade and Sticky Toffee. I used the Tags Valentine II set to make this fun paper! My ribbon was a match made in heaven from my stash of random ribbons! My corner chomper went to work as well...LOVE that tool!!

Be sure to check out the other DT blogs to see their take on the challenge to make their own patterned paper!! Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great one!! See you tomorrow!

Love You So Much!

Ok, when I saw Dawn's super cute stamp set...and read the sentiments, I knew I'd have to take the plunge and purchase it! I love the sentiments she's made and know these will be some very loved stamps!! I was getting my desk all ready to leave nice and clean...while I'm away for a few! And this set just wanted to be used SO bad!! So, I gave in and spent a few more minutes at my desk!
I stamped polka dots 2 stamps in Razzleberry Fizz ink, for my background paper. I used my trusty corner chomper(LOVE it!) to round 3 of the 4 corners. I attached it to my Aqua Mist card, that had the same corners chomped from the chomper. I added a wide embossed scallop border, out of pumpkin pie cardstock, then tied a nice piece of Raspberry Fizz ribbon around. My sentiment was stamped with Raspberry Fizz ink as well. I stamped an Aqua Mist scrap with a smaller polka-dot from the same stamp set, with Aqua Mist ink, and then used my 1" circle punch to punch three of them out. I wrinkled them up a bit, then attached them to my card. I added three little pumpkin felt flowers from AC(American Crafts) and three pretty Raspberry Fizz buttons. **My flowers didn't want to stick to much, so I ended up using my Zip glue(another thing I really love!) to attach them, and they aren't going anywhere any time soon!

I think I need more fresh happy colors...we've been trying hard to have sunshine days, but the clouds come and go and then come and go again! I hope the weather in California will be deligthful...here's to hoping!

Have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it so much! See you tomorrow for the Elzybells Design Team challenge!(We have a DT challenge every other Thursday, so tomorrow is the day!) Toodles for now!

Under the Weater!

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you are having a good week! I hope your day off(for most of the US) was great! My kids are so funny, being used to German Holiday breaks from school, and just learning about the holidays in the US, my 5 year old daughter told me she didn't have preschool because it was King Ludwig day! King Ludwig was one of the Kings in Bavaria that they learned a lot about and we was several of his castles etc., it cracked me up! So, Happy King Ludwig day to you too!!

I'm working like a crazy women to get all my ducks in order so my household doesn't fall apart while I'm away for a few days...Daddy will be great!! And, my son(7) told me that he and his sister(5) will be great for dad, it will be Ruby(almost 2) that will be the challenge...ha ha ha!! Anyway, onto some fun for today!

This cute image comes from Lizzie Anne Designs February Mix, "Singing in the Rain". It is a GREAT collection of images! You can check it out and the info about being a mix club member...it gives you a serious deal to sign up for the club! Anyway, check it out here! I just love this little chick image!!

I used some white cardstock for the base of my card. My next layer is aqua mist cardstock and it has been run through the Big Shot with the swiss dots embossing folder. I used my corner chomper-do you know how much I love that thing!?-to round the edges. I stamped my little chick and then colored her in with copics. I cut her out with my bloom nestabilites and then mounted her on a chocolate chip bloom, that has also been swiss dotted! I tied some 5/8" grosgrain ribbon round, and then mounted my little cutie. The sentiment was stamped, punched with a circle and then mounted on a small saffron bloom.

Isn't she such a cute little image!? The fun we can have with her is just neverending!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great productive day!! Until tomorrow, toodles!!

Happy Monday morning friends! And happy Elzybells Release day! Today is the day you can go to the Elzybells store and add these great new products--Stamps, Paper, Ink, etc., to your shopping cart!! The store can be found here, so please shop to your hearts delight! (With this release there are several great hearts to delight yours!)

My first card today introduces you to Seasonal Sentiments. It's a great set of lined stamps...with small stamps to correspond with the sentiments! It's a great one to play with!!

I used Strawberry Fool for my card base. I stamped the "my valentine" stamp several times with strawberry fool ink and then added some sticky toffee hearts. I used my corner chomper to round the bottom corners of the card and white layer. I stamped three hearts from the Heart Strings stamp set, and then cut each one out (my nestabilites are taking an eternity to get here!!). I used strawberry fool, pink lemonade and sticky toffee inks. I used dimensionals on the sticky toffe heart. I finished the card up with a pretty red bow...and there you have it!

This next card didn't photograph so well! It's got a bit more interest in real life, I just couldn't get it to show in the photo!!

For this second card, I used some Raspberry Fizz cardstock and ink. I stamped the "let your heart bloom" with Rapberry Fizz ink and then added one stamped image in real red ink. I also added the hearts with Real Red ink. I added a strip of Real Red grosgrain ribbon and then added my bloom! My bloom was made with some tissue paper I found at target the other day. I cut about 5 "folds" of tissue paper with three different sizes of my Bloom nestabilites dies. I layered the blooms and then added a large white brad...then "fluffed" the layers.

I hope you've had a chance to catch some of the other DT samples, I've had a great time looking at all the great creations made with the stamps and products for the release today!! Take a minute and enjoy the creative juices that are flowing!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate you letting me know you were here and let me know what you think of my posts...thanks a bundle!! I'm all giddy, I'm heading to CHA this week and am SO excited!! I'll be a the Lizzie Anne booth and also spending a bit of time at the Splitcoast Stampers booth....so I'm hoping to get a chance to say hello to many of you!!

Take care and see you tomorrow!!

Good morning! This is my 2nd post for today! I am excited to share a bit more of the Elzybells love! Today we'll be sharing some fun from the Tag Valentine and Tag Valentine II stamps. I've had a great time working with these stamps and am SURE that you'll have just as much fun!

Yes, I'm stuck in a color palette!! The great thing about this palette, it works really well with the new Coordinating Colors that Elzybells is releasing on Monday! It is enough to make me very happy! Aren't these colors just that, 100% Happy!?

I started with a white card base. I used some American Crafts Craft Fair line paper and then a strip of crushed curry(su). I used my apron lace border punch to create a nice little border. A strip of crushed curry ribbon and yum...delicous! I stamped my heart image with Strawberry Fool ink and the with love image was stamped with Sticky Toffee ink. I love these colors...perfect together!

Isn't this a fun little box!? I have a few Valentine gifties to make and think something along these lines will be on my horizon! Using a die template (Box #2 from SU) and my Big Shot makes boxes like this a breeze!
I used some Strawberry Fool paper for my box. I stamped some hearts-large heart from Tags Valentine and the small heart from Tags Valentine II--with Strawberry Fool, Pink Lemonade, and Sticky Toffe ink. I put the box together, added some sweet chocolate treats inside, and moved to the making of the tag.

I stamped a heart image with Strawberry Fool ink onto Strawberry Fool paper. I stamped the "with love" image with Sticky Toffee ink and then used my nestabilites and Big Shot to make the circle and scallop. I tied a nice chocolate chip ribbon(su) around the box, added the tag, a flower and red button to complete the little gift.

This third card was made with Tags Valentine II stamps. I love that these stamps make great tags for gifts etc., but they make great focal images for cards, embellishments, etc.! I love the versatility of these great stamps!

I used the AC paper again...I'm stuck! I saw this heart pattern and knew it was a match made in heaven! I started with a Baja Breeze (su) cardbase and then added a layer of the AC paper. I used a scalloped scallop border punch(each little scallop is scalloped!) and baja breeze paper, the polka dot strip is also a AC paper. I used my harringbone cuttlebug embossing folder on some crushed curry(su) cardstock and made a perfect place for my heart image! I used baja breeze ink and stamped the circle of hearts(I LOVE this stamp!) and then added a crushed curry solid heart to the center. The "wonderful you" was stamped with Sticky Toffe ink. I used my nestabilities and Big Shot again for my circle and scallop circles.

Another thing I really like about these sets is that they are coming out for you to purchase right before Valentine's Day, but they can be used ANY time! Any occasion can call for hearts and coordinating sentiments...I think they are so great!

My last card for today is similar to the one just above it, but I wanted to show how great the images work, all by themselves! This little "With Thanks" crad was super quick, and very easy, but gives a great bang for your buck! I love that you can get a lot of milage from well designed stamps...you can use them for more than just one occasion!

So, this little card is baja breeze cardstock, the ac polka dot, curry ribbon and a chocolate chip brad. My nestabilities went to work again...quick and easy. I know I'll come back to these Tag sets again and again!

Hope you enjoyed my posts today! I'd love to hear what you have to say about these new stamps! Just think tomorrow, you will be able to put these sets in your shopping cart and get them on their merry way to your house! Yes, they are wonderful and you will love them! Take a peek at the other DT designs...their links are in my sidebar to the left!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate you and visits! Good luck for a great week!

Post #1 Lizzie Anne DT Challenge!

Good morning friends! I hope you've been enjoying a great relaxing weekend! We're working on it...but here's to hoping that today realy is a day of rest! I've got two posts for today, so be sure to chatch both of them, so you don't miss the fun!
This first card, is one of my ALL time favorite sets from Lizzie Anne Designs! I've loved this little Party Animal set since I saw it for the first time. It just "speaks" to me and I find much joy in getting it all inky! And, yes, I'm in love with this color palette that I'm finding in the AC Craft Fair paper pack...100% delicious. I think I need the bright happy colors, due to A LOT of rain here in the Northwest!

So, here is how it came together. I used the current Lizzie Anne Designs Weekly Sketch Challeng, #109 for my layout. I used a couple of the fresh and very fun patterns of paper from the AC paper pack. I tied some crushed curry ribbon around the belly, with the help of my hobby blade to slit a track in the fold of the card. I stamped my birdie and colored it with some copics, then paper pierced the body with yet another pattern of AC paper. I also stamped the frame stamp around the birdie with brown palette ink. I ran the image through my Big Shot with the labels 1 nestability for the perfect coordinating shape! My birdie is mounted with dimensionals.

The sentiment, also from the Party Animal set, was stamped and punch out with a word window punch. I then punched a modern label to mount my sentiment in. Attached the sentiment to the card and boom, done.

I hope you have a chance to take a peek at the rest of the Design Team's blogs today! They are all linked in my left hand side bar. Check out the LAD blog for details about the challenge! See you in a moment for another sneak peek at some new Elzybells stamps! Stay tuned!!

Elzybells Sneak Peeks!

Good morning all! We've woken up to a bit of fog and very wintery weather this morning...a perfect day to stay home and play with great new stamps!! And speaking of stamps! Elzybells has a realse starting next week and I'd like to share a few samples with you today...just to get your mind thinking about these fun new stamps, and yes, you do want them!!

The first two cards I used the Heartstrings and Heart Strings Sentiments Stamp Sets. They are delicious and perfect for sharing this time of year, as we near Valentines' Day! I also want to tell you about the delicous new coordinating paper and Ink that Elzybells now offers! The Colour Co-cordinates line is so fun! How fun are coordinating products? Yep, the take the guess work out of your designing and make it even easier! Elizabeth gives some great detail on her blog about the new colors, be sure to check it out here!

For card #1 today, I used the Heartstrings stamp set, there is a strip of polka dots in this set...YEA! I used that strip and stamped it over and over in different colors (Sticky Toffee, Strawberry Fool, Pink Lemonade, Vanilla Cookie, Stickey Toffee, and the Strawberry Fool again) to make this fun paper! I stamped the Love from the sentiments stamp set with Sticky Toffee ink. I used my Croner Chomper(fav. new tool!) to round the corners of my card layers and even the card...I love that you can chomp more than one layer of cs with the comper...YEA! I've layerd my white cardstock onto Pink Lemonade(a beautiful shade of pink) cardstock. I mounted it all onto some Chocolate Chip(SU) cardstock. My flowers are from Prima and my velvet brads are from Doodlebug.

For card #2, I also Used the Heartstrings stamps! I can't get enough of that great polka-dot! I used some Chocolate Chip(SU) cardstock for the base of my card again. I used a layer of Vanilla Cupcake cardstock and then stamped my poka-dots again onto a layer of Sticky Toffee cardstock. I used the Sticky Toffe ink to stamp my polka dots. I used my eyelet border punch to make a nice pretty border on my Sticky Toffee layer. I tied it all up with a nice 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon(su) and then moved onto my fun little heart!

I wanted to stay pretty monochromatic...so I used choclate chip ink to stamp the great heart image! A polka-dot heart!? What could be better?! I cut the heart out and mounted it on an embossed heart die cut(SU heart embosslit). I added a little vanilla colored button and some dimensionals and there you have it!

Now, I'd like to introduce you to this beautiful little girl, the All My Hearts stamp! Isn't she SO cute!? I am enjoying her so much! My daughter and I have been using her a lot these past few weeks, my daughter wants to stamp this beauty on everything! She's made cards for several friends this week, because she loves this image so much! Isn't that why do it all?!

So, back to the card sorry! I stamped this little beauty on some white cardstock and then colored her in with copic markers. I layered her onto some Strawberry Fool and Pink Lemonade paper. I used my new scallop punch from SU on the Pink Lemonade layer. I used a white cardbase, and a layer of Sticky Toffee cardstock. I used my scallop punch again and then mounted my little darling onto the card. I tied the card up with some beautiful ribbon(from one of my favorite Chrismas gifts!). I stamped the I Love You(from a set I'll share tomorrow...sorry!) used my small oval punch and a large oval punch of Strawberry Fool cs and then had a perfect sentiment for my card! I mounted the sentiment with dimensionals and then added a little Sticky Toffee heart...also mounted with dimensionals.
Card #4 for this post also used this little "All My Hearts" stamp...I told you I couldn't put her down!
I stamped her and colored her in with copic markers. I used my oval nestabilities to punch her out and then make a scallop for her to "stand" on. My patterned paper is from SEI, Cupids Collection. I used a white card base, a strip of pumpkin pie cardstock and my apron lace border punch and then more Cupids' Collection paper. My ribbon is So Saffron 5/8" grosgrain. I stamped the I *heart* you in Pumpkin Pie in and then used my word window punch and modern label punches to add the sentiment to my card. Oh, I almost forgot, she has been glitified with a glitter pen...can't leave out the glitter!

Be sure to check out the other Design Team's work...It's so fun! There are links to their blogs in my side bar, on the left side. Be sure to peek at Elizabeth's blog too...for all sorts of info! And don't forget to check the Elzybells Store to find all the fun things your heart is desiring! The realease will start Monday morning! Hope you have a great weekend!! See you tomorrow for more Elzybell's sneaks and the LAD Design Team Challenge, there will be two posts for tomorrow, so stay tuned!

My color palette came from my AC patterned paper. I used Real Red, Chocolate Chip cardstocks. I colored the image with some copics. I used my Fiskars Upper Crest border punch and some white satin ribbon for a few fun details!

Happy Birthday!

Good morning friends! I'm excited to share with you today! I'm sorry for the dark photo...it's been raining, yes, again! This light is the best I could get today!! But I wanted to share this fun new stamp!! It is from the Sixlet "Birthday Banner" stamp set. Isn't it super duper cute!? I love it! I had a large amount of copics on my desk and picked this bright bunch to color in this image...what a fun and happy birthday card!
I stamped my image and then colored it in. I decided I wanted to add a little bit of flare to the card, so I cut off 1" off the front flap. I used one of my fun border punches and some red cardstock and then attached it to the underside of the front flap. I tied some baja breeze ribbon and there you have it!

I hope you have a great day! I'm enjoying this new release SO much! I have some Elzybells stamps that I'm working with too...so fun! You'll get to see some new Elzybells next week!

You're out of this world!

Good morning friends! I want to share a little fun valentine with you today! I think this little "sour cream" container was something I made amost 10 years ago...but it's been a while since I've revisited making one! My kids thought this was super cool, we might a a large load of them coimng in the near future!

I used the A Little Love digital paper for my paper. I printed it on a light weight cardstock and found it a perfect weight paper for this project! I used the cute little rocket stamp from the A Little Love stamp set as well. I colored the rocket with copic markers and the mounted the rocket on a piece of turquoise paper. I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole for my ribbon and then tied the rocket to the container. The container is full of tootsie rolls...and a perfect little valentine to share with classmates!

I'll be back with more fun tomorrow...see you then! Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it so much!! Have a great one!

Valentine Wishes!

Good Monday to all of you! I hope you had a great weekend and are all geared up for this week! I'm really excited, I've only got one more week before I head down to California to attend CHA...can't wait!!

I've got a lot to get accomplished before I go to CHA, so here's to a great productive week! I have a load of new stamps to share with you! Lizzie Anne had a release on Friday, and oh my...I'm in love! They introduced a new line of stamps, Sixlets..and I'm loving them! I used one of them for this cute little Valentine for today. This set is called A Little Love. Isn't this little fairy delicious!? Let's just say my daughter can't wait to make her Valentine's for her class mates...her wheels are already churning! Another fun thing to note about this card is the use of this great digital paper pack! I got a new printer for Christmas and it made me so happy to have this paper to print...it is GREAT paper! It is called A Little Love and there are 9 different papers in the set. The colors are fresh and very fun for either girl or boy valentines! I'm really starting to love the digital paper option...I have it for always and forever!

I started with a real red card and a couple of tempting turquoise eyelet borders. I used a strip of the rainbow heart A Little Love paper and then tied it up with a 5/8" red grosgrain ribbon. I stamped my little fairy and colored her in with copic markers. I used my oval and scallop oval nestabilities to cut her out. I added the oval to my card with dimensionals.

So, there is one of the fun little valentine's I've got for my stash! I love to mail valentines and tell my family how much we love them! I'm trying to be better(a resolve I made for this year, 2010.) at sharing my love through the mail. I'm into week 3 of sending just cards, just because! YEA! I even needed a new book of stamps!

Hope you have a great evening! I've got some fun little ideas to share tomorrow. We made a few attempts for valentine treats for my kids to give to their classmates...see you then! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Valentines!

Good Friday morning! Yea, it's the weekend! I'm happy for the weekend, but oh my, where did this week go!? I'm glad it's the weekend and that we don't have an major plans...relaxation? We'll see! I'll be stamping, that is for sure! I got a great box of joy from Elzybells...I've got some fun in the making, that's for sure! And I'm expecting secret LAD stuff today...a perfect way to start a weekend!

Speaking of Lizzie Anne Designs! They've got a great release starting today! They've got a new product line, called Sixlets. They are meant to be a step between the Simply Singles stamps and the Little Bits stamp sets. Each Sixlets stamp set has 6 stamps. Sixlets will be packaged the same way the Monthly Mix sets are packaged. There is a PDF file of the cover design that can be downloaded and print for FREE. If you'd like to add a storage case to your order, they are only $1.oo. I can tell you...you're going to LOVE these new stamps!! And for just $2.oo a stamp, they are a great deal! Don't miss the eye candy over on the LAD blog!

I made this card using the LAD sketch challenge for the week. Jos posted a great sketch here, it's #108. I didn't notice that the little "special challenge" was not to use red...until I just posted that link...oops! I think I love this sketch...so fun! Clean and simple...you know that is how I like it!
I used some Natural Vanilla cardstock, Real Red cardstock with my two heart punches from SU, and some DCWV Modern-Retro dsp and a circle punch. The stamp is from the January Mix, "From the Heart". My ribbon was just a misc. piece that I had in the stash.

Hope you have a great weekend! Be sure to check back Monday for some new release stuffs!

This card was made to play along with a sketch from the Inspired Blueprints Blog. This is their first ever card sketch and I thought I'd play along! This is sketch #39. I pulled out some DCWV modern paper, my cute little girl stamp, and a few nesties to get to work on this card!

Love You

Good Morning friends! I hope you're having a great week! We're all getting back into the swing fo things, but boy, getting up is hard to do!:) I'm starting my 6 am workouts again and yep...it's going to kill me for a few days!

I wanted to share a fun card I made for the Embellish Magazine Color Challenge. You can see the challenge and great inspiration from Ashley here. The challenge was to use pink, red and black for the colors and then use hearts. I happen to love these colors and really wanted to play along! I used the CPS sketch 148 for the layout of my card too.
I chose real red, raspberry fizz and this fun black patterned paper from AC for my colors. I used my top note die and my big shot for the main panel. The sketch I used from CPS has a smaller center piece, but that is the fun of using a sketch, you can make it "yours" by making your card just the way you want to!

I used my heart punch from SU to make several real red hearts and added them to my red top note. I tied some rapsberry fizz satin ribbon around, make a fun little flat bow, and added a button. My sentiment is from PTI's Papertrey stamp set. The little heart next to the sentiment is raised with a dimensional.

It felt good to play along with a few challenges...I so enjoy that! I've got another card to share tomorrow that is challenge related as well, so be sure to stop by! Thanks so much for stopping by! Oh, are any of you my bloggin' buddies going to be at CHA? I'm going to both the super show and wholesale show and would LOVE to meet you face to face if you will be there! I'm so excited I can't wait!

Have a great day!!

You're The Best!

Happy Monday friends! I hope you've had a great day getting back to all things normal! We've had school, workout(I'm out of my walking boot...YEA!), cleaning, laundry and now time to work with stamps! My girls are playing and before I have to pick up my son, I wanted to share a fun little card...with LAD's new boy scout single! Isn't he cute!?

My husband works with the young men at church and has spent several years in a scout shirt! I made this card with him in mind...just a little something to slip into his bag! I have resolved to make a better effort to tell the people I love them that I do...and I make enough cards...so here's to starting off a new resolution!
I used some SEI patterned paper and really rust for the pieces of my card. My fiskars border punch went to work..and my nestabilites. I colored my scount with copic markers and then tied it all up with hemp and a button.

Hope you have a great week..see you tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey There...

Hey there, Chickadee! Happy Saturday to you! I hope that you're having a great weekend...isn't the holiday season just the greatest!? We're totally still in the holiday mode and Monday is going to be a bit abrasive, I'm sure! Getting back to the grind after such a fun filled holiday feels so good, but it takes a few days to get back on track. But, I hope you have a great weekend!

Today I want to share a fun little card. I kind of started it with a Valentine in mind, but I think it could be great w/o the Valentine thought too! I love the sentiment, from PTI Everyday Button Bits. The owls are new from Hero Arts and I love them.

So, for this card, I stamped my owls and colored them in with copic markers(I do love those things! I know I'm a bit late in learning what JOY they bring to the crafting world, but I'm glad to know why everyone loves them so much!). I glitified one owl's belly and oultined her with a glitter pen. I used a 1 3/8" circle punch to punch them out and them mounted them on a chocolate chip scallop circle punch.

For the card base, started with white, added a layer of pumpkin pie that had taken a trip through the crimper. My patterned paper is from a SU scrappin' kit. I added a chocoalte chip border, that had been scalloped with my EK scallop border punch. I tied a 5/8" chocolate ribbon 'round and then added the sentiment in chocolate ink.

I added my owls to the card with dimensionals and then added some love. I punched the three hearts with my SU heart punch. I used pumpkin pie cardstock. I was going to just use one, but I really like the three of them layered!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it! See you Monday! I've got a few samples to share from the new LAD singles for the month...see you then!

Thinking of You...

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great night last night! We had a great time, and my kids held out well..my little Ruby even stayed up to usher in the new year! We all slept great and are ready to have a great January 1st! I'm excited about 2010 and all the great things it holds in store!

One of the fun things that 2010 holds in store for me is being part of the Elzybells Design Team! I'm really excited about this new adventure and am really looking forward to a great run with some very talented designers! Elizabeth just announced the team on her blog today, if you'd like to take peek and see the rest of the team you can find them all here. Elizabeth is a great designer herself and I'm thrilled to get a chance to work with her! My first box of Elzybells love is in route...so early next week I'll start posting some sneak peeks of the first release of 2010! It's a good one...I'm so excited!!

I'd like to share a quick little card for today. I used the January Mix and Everyday Sayings stamp sets, from LAD.

My card is aquamist and chocolate chip cardstock. Isn't that border punch divine!? It's a Martha Stewart one, a deep edge border punch called flower garden...LOVE! I used more of my stash of Amy Butler paper...love that stuff! The butterfly has been glitified with a glitter pen...it shows up better in real life!

Best wishes to you all for a wonderful new year! Thanks for stopping by!
