Just for You

Hello there!!
I am so happy to be popping in today!! Getting myself back in the groove and it feels so good!! My baby slept like a champ today....love those days!!!

I pulled out a few things that hadn't seen love yet...or for a long time!! I started with the Scribble Flower dies from Frantic Stamper. They were release in December...and I think they might be a new favorite!!

I started out looking for a sketch, as you know that is a great spot for me to get back into gear, so I went to this weeks Freshly Made Sketch!! I pulled out a stencil and some distress ink to give me just a hint of a background...just a hint!! I cut the flowers out of some yummy Heidi Swapp paper and I love the fresh and bright colors...I think I am ready for sunshine!! My just for you is from the Neat and Tangled set, Just for you. I added a strip of black cardstock to my cardbase a bit of foam tape and there you have it!!!

Happy Birthday!

Good morning!! Today is our first day of Spring Break and we are pumped to have a few days off of the normal busy rush! I think we are the last people in the country to be having Spring Break, am I right!?
Today, I've got a card to play along with the Freshly Made Sketch for the week! I'm just getting in as the challenge finishes, but happy to get to play along!

I used some frame dies from Mama Elephant and I LOVE the clean and detailed edges they bring to a simple design! A little strip of vellum is perfect when you want a nice soft something--I didn't want to cover up all that pretty paper!! I used a Happy die from PTI and birthday sentiment also from PTI. I added a few pearls, and there you have it!

I hope you have a great one! Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow with a new fun Frantic Stamper card!!

Thinking of You...

Good morning friends. I hope you are doing well this Thursday morning! I seem to be drawn to beautiful green things...I guess my person is ready for lots of beautiful green grass and if possible some flowers to boot! With the rain that comes to us in Seattle, we know the green WILL come...just hoping we don't drown in the rain that brings it!;)

Although today isn't Monday, I wanted to play along with the "Cure for the Monday Blues" challenge. I LOVE the pattern on the rug.... and the floral pattern on the wall and I LOVE the pops of bright color! I was excited to find that my stencil matched the rug... anyway...I love the inspiration photo...

I also used the new Freshly Made Sketch.  I loved the simple cleanness of it..as always!! This particular stencil is from Simon Says Stamp. I used Mowed Lawn distress ink for most of the color, then after I took off the stencil I lightly used my ink blending tool to add a little bit of Peacock Feather distress ink too. Just a little hint of the Peacock Feather... The Moxie Fab Challenge that is currently going on is about stencils... YEA!! I have been smitten with them...
My floral pattern is from an American Crafts Spring pad I picked up at Target the other day...and the colors are SO fresh and vibrant...I love them all!! The sentiment is also new for me, it's from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set. I stamped it with some Hero's Hues Black ink.

My lovely feathers...were cut out of watercolor paper with the Wplus9 Fanciful Feathers dies. I used distress ink to water color them, then used some Martha Stewart Neon glitters to add some texture and shine!! I had to almost fight my daughter Ruby for these feathers...I was letting them dry on my desk and she spotted them...oh boy! You will be happy to know that she painted a whole bird worth of feathers today...and they have all been glitified and are awaiting being put onto cards when she gets home from school today!

The last piece of my card are my cute pink sequins...that are FLAT! They are a new Heidi Swapp RUB-ON! How fun are they...VERY!! There are some great shaped rub-ons that you will see in the coming days...SO much fun!!

I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow for some more fun!! Thanks care and thanks for stopping by!!

Just Saying Hello!!

Hello Friends! Happy Thursday!! I am popping in to share my take on the new Freshly Made Sketch!  It's a super great sketch!
I pulled out some fun Amy Tangerine paper and my hexagon cover plate...fun times!! I used some Heidi Swapp color shine for my background...breaking out of my comfort zone!! My sentiment is from a set called Grand Greetings, from Lawn Fawn. I added a few green sequins...it must be the excitement for SPRING that I am feeling...I can't seem to get enough of that beautiful green!! Spring has started popping it's head out of the ground in my yard and I am so excited!!

Off to have some birthday fun with my birthday girl today...see you tomorrow!!

Thanks!

Hey there friends! I hope you are doing well! So, I was saying in my last post that I've been a bit "pre-occupied"...well, here is the reasoning! Other than the fact that I am a momma to 4 fast growing, all sorts of involved, busy bodied kids...in late August I started feeling pretty nasty on a pretty regular basis!! I am happy to share with you all that I will have another little busy body little boy in join our family in May! This "tie breaker" as he has already been named by my kids will make 3 boys and 2 girls for my little tribe! I am finally feeling pretty back to normal and only have occasional days that find me down on the couch!:) YEA!!

Also, we just finished up a change of address! We found a house the day after Halloween that really gave us incentive to move...and well, we up and moved! We are less than a mile away from our old house, but we are really happy with a bit more space to move around!! And, well, the months of November and December were full of staging our home, photographs, packing boxes, showings etc...and then Christmas and unpacking boxes...you get the idea!;) So, That's what  I've been up to the past few months!

I am really happy to be "back!" Feeling good, pretty much settled and my workroom is all put together! So, I'm ready to be back at my desk, making pretty things!

I decided to try find my "mojo" starting with a few sketches! So, today I am sharing a card from the new Freshly Made Sketch, 119. I love using sketches to get myself going! Pulled out some pebbles paper, some stamps from PTI and Simon Says...and there you have it! I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, Anything Goes!

I have a few more cards to share, so I'll be getting back into regular posting! Thanks for sticking with me and for your sweet comments! I look forward to getting "back in" to reading your blogs and all the fun that goes along with our fun "hobby!" Take care and I'll see you tomorrow!

Hello!!

Hello Friends! I am back! Summer was a whirlwind! We were here and there and everywhere! I am happy to report that we made it! One one drive, I didn't really think we were going to make it home in one piece!;) But now school is in full swing, soccer games and football games are in full swing and we are loving it all!

I have finally gotten to take a breather and get my "therapy!" I know that most of you reading this understand what I mean by that!! It's been a while and it feels good to get back in the saddle again!! But oh, I have made some cards that made their way straight to the garbage bin...hopefully it won't be too long before I find some mojo again! One of the best ways to get going is by using a challenge!

So, here is what I have for the new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.
I love that chevron wahsi tape! Its a 12x12 sheet from We R Memory Keepers. My tag is topped with a bit of washi picked up from some bargin bin! The you and "are loved" are from Simon Says Stamps.

I hope you all are doing well! I am hoping to get back to blog reading too!! I need some inspiration, and you my dear friends are just the place to go! Thanks so much for stopping by!! I have a few more things that I don't think are too bad to share!;)

Take care and I'll see you tomorrow! Take care!!

Thank You

Hello dear friends! I hope you are doing well! I can hardly believe that November is upon us! Our weather has been cold, wet and dark...it definitely is fall! Gone are the days of sunshine and blue sky...however, with all my pretty paper and stamps, I can make a bit of sunshine!!

I wanted to play along with the Freshly Made Sketch this week, I thought it was a fun one...I haven't had a chance to play along for a while, so the fact that I got a card done and posted before the deadline is great for me!:)
I pulled out some October Afternoon patterned paper--the yellow lovely, Aqua Mist patterned paper as well as cardstock. I used the notched flower dies, double ended banner die, and heart to heart stamps, all from PTI. I love how clean and fresh this ended up...Oh, and don't forget the twine!

I hope you have a great one. Thank you so much for stopping by today! I appreciate your spending a few moments with me today...take care and have a great weekend!

Homework!

Hey there friends! I hope you are doing well! I did something I've never done before this weekend! I laid sod! We have a bit of our yard that has been nothing good on the eye for a while, our poor plants got sick and died! Anyway, my sweet husband has been slaving for a couple of weeks with a plan in mind...that plan ended on Saturday! Friday we spread 2 truck loads of topsoil, fill up bucket and buckets and more buckets of gravel--and made our children feel like slaves!;) Then Saturday we had almost two trucks of sod and large load of river rocks to take care of! I had no idea I'd become a sod laying momma! I have to say, what a wonderful sense of accomplishment comes with sod! Great green grass..love it!

So, in trying to nurse my tired and weary hands, I did a bit of homework! I am really loving the Kickstart online class--and was excited to get to some homework!

This card was made, using the current Freshly Made Sketch, and with a couple of tips from Jennifer McGuire. I pulled out a bit of scraps and went to town! I've got a couple more cards to share tomorrow that I made too...my creativity was happy and nurtured last night!

My paper is mostly from October Afternoon. My stamps and dies from PTI.

I hope your week starts out with a bang! Thanks a bundle for stopping by and take care dear friends!! See you tomorrow!

Good morning friends!! Or maybe it is already afternoon where you live...but hello!! I have to tell you about my fun night last night!! My husband and I are HUGE Kristin Chenoweth fans, HUGE. We've loved her for almost 12 years now...and have loved watching her more and more! LOVED her in Wicked, Annie, etc. Anyway, my sweet husband took me to see her in concert last night! We were celebrating our 12 year anniversary and had a wonderful night!! We were joined by two wonderful friends...the kind of friends that always make everything better...love them!! Anyway, had a fantastic Italian dinner--lemon chicken like I've never loved lemon chicken-wonderful company, and seeing one of my favorite performers of all time! It was SO much fun!!
