Good Monday morning friends! Wow, the end of February...I'm 100% ready for March and Springtime...warmer weather...less sickness around!! We're all better, feeling good, getting back into a good routine...it feels like it's been a while!

I've got a bit of sunshine to share today, the latest Cardabilities Sketch! I enjoyed this sketch and thought it worked well with some of the fun elements from the Basic Grey Ambrosia line...yum!
Be sure to head over to the Cardabilities blog to see the sketch and what the other designers have done...and play along if you'd like! I can't believe we're already to sketch 26, loads of great sketches to be had!

I've been missing my bluffing...hopefully I can get caught up on all the fun you've been creating this week!! I hope you have a great one...thanks so much for stopping by!!

I love sketches!

Good morning friends! Merry Christmas! We have snow...snow...and a little more snow! Wow, not a typical February 24th, that's for sure! So, happy day for snow! How about a little something bright and happy?

I think this Tweens and Teens stamp set from LAD is so fun...perfect for several of the birthdays we have in our family! I paired the stamps up with some fun American Crafts paper and the weekly sketch over on the LAD blog.

I love this polka dot paper...isn't it great? It's a make me happy color combination! It will be perfect for some of the boys we know that are turning another year older! Gotta go make a few more to go around!

Thanks for stopping by! Take care and --stay warm!! We're off to enjoy a bit of hot apple cider this am!! Make it great!

Hey There!

Good afternoon/evening friends! I hope you are doing well! We've only got one sick child in the house and I'm getting excited that we might be rid of the nasty virus! I've been so amazed at how long I feel we've had sickness in our house...SO unusual!! I'm hoping that we're almost done...here's to hoping!

I've got something fun to share today! I've been thinking about using my Silhouette to cut some flowers, I have a beautiful 3-d bloom in my library and I wanted to finally use it! While my little Max was sleeping and Ruby was happy watching her barbie movie in her bed(her sickness hasn't slowed her down hardly at all, so I was happy she would lay down and watch for a little while!), I sat down to make one of these beautiful blooms!

I cut the bloom out of some crate paper...isn't it a delicious flower!? I love the silhouette and am so excited to learn how to use it more! I added a bit of lace--isn't that lace stamp awesome!? It is from the new Timeless Textures stamp set from LAD. I stamped it in Raspberry Fizz ink onto the Summer Sunrise paper. My sentiment stamp is from the Perfect Phrases stamp set, also from LAD.

I've come to the conclusion that I've got to get to work on my "studio" again...is it the fact that the sun is shining? I've been having the urge to vacuum under the beds, clean out drawers, and now my studio space is driving me crazy! I'm looking for new furniture--maybe some office furniture? But I'm not sure exactly what I want yet! What is your favorite thing about your work space?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great one!!

Just Poppin' In!

Hey friends. I just wanted to pop quick and let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...we've just got some nasty sick bugs in our house!! I'm on "nurse mommy" duty full time these days and that isn't leaving much room for paper and stamps!
Since I don't have paper to share today, I thought I'd share one of my favorite photos from last week...isn't this awesome!? Ruby turned 3 and was working really hard on helping get the house decorated for the event...she wanted to help with blowing up the balloons! I was so happy to have captured this one!!
I'll be back...hopefullly I'll get a little creating time tonight when all the sick kids are in bed! Be back soon!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Wonderful World

Good morning friends! Happy Friday! I wonder why I'm so taken to bright happy colors right now...maybe because I feel like I'm missing the SUN!? I got a little bit of it on Wednesday and it did me really good...now I'm hoping for more of it soon! The blue sky...and sunshine...beauty at it's finest!!

Todays post is a design team challenge. We were supposed to look through the sketch book and find a card/sketch by another designer and use it for inspiration. What a fun challenge! I used a card made by none other that "Lizzie"...here is the card that inspired me!
I went with the new sixlet set "Wonderful World" and some October Afternoon paper! Fun and whimsical, and happy! I'm really thankful for the wonderful world we have to live in...so beautiful and I'm so thankful for that!

Be sure to take a look at the LAD blog and see the fun inspiration the other designers found! Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care!! Oh, and here's to summer and warm weather!! (My son came down with a fever last night...will it ever end!?)

Thinking of You

Good morning friends! Hope you are all doing well! My sweet daughter that has been sick (again!) is back at school this am..after 24 hours of being fever free!! YEA! I'm trying to get all the "mommy" stuff done, and that has really made it difficult to get any time to slip creating in...but it is as good for mommy as sunshine, and while some things didn't get done, I've got some fun to share!
I used the new LAD Perfect Phrases stamp set for my sentiment...I love this new set! I think the phrases that are in the set are extremely easy to use!! They are such classic fonts and sentiments, they work almost anywhere! I used some October Afternoon paper, scallop border punch, oval punches, and one of my long neglected SU dies for my Big Shot to make the flower....and a basic grey brad!

Hope you are having a great week! We've gotten back to our typical RAINY weather...it sounded like it was literally raining cats and dogs today! Gotta love those rainy days...they will make for a wonderful Tulip Festival in April! Have a great one and thanks for stopping by!!

Cardabilities Sketch!

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are all doing well!! It's been a crazy week, getting "back to normal" after my parents left took me a little longer than expected--it is so nice to have the help that both my parents offer while they are here!! We had fun doing some decorating around my house...I'm so excited about that! New bedding, lamps, rugs...YEA!!

Anyway, we were finally better...everyone healthy until this past Friday, and now my daughter has been with a fever since then...I tell you I can't wait for summer! Today I'm ready to just skip to warmer weather and get rid of the yucky bugs that hang around in the winter...what do you say?

I've got a fun sketch to share today! I'm sharing the great sketch #25 from Cardabilities today! Be sure to hop over and check out the great things the other designers have to share!!

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day...and feel a lot of love! Thanks so much for your friendship and support...it's wonderful to have such great friends that I only know through the computer! I appreciate you, love you and hope you have a great day!!

Take care!

Love

Hey friends! I hope you are doing well!! We've had a wonderful past several days with my parents...so fun to have them for a quick visit! My kids have been spoiled and loved on--and we love being able to love on "GG" and Grandpa!

We made some decorations for our "love tree"...and just wanted to share one of them! It's a little medallion like ornament that we made out of paper and such!
The kids enjoyed making them and we sure had fun talking about what we love about each other...I've decided that love trees are wonderful...I love the month of February!! MM paper helped with all the coordinating patters and such...love great paper!

Take care and have a great one! And don't forget to laugh until your cheeks hurt!!

Happy Birthday

Good morning!! Today is a day we've been waiting very patiently for...a few weeks ago I got an email with an airline itinerary...my parents are coming up today! We are blessing Max at church on Sunday and they are coming up to join us...we are SO excited! My kids have been on some serious excitement pills today...just counting down the moments until they got to go to bed! I love that they are so excited! I have to tell you something funny...Lucy was talking to someone the other day and told them that one of the things she loves about when Grandma comes is that, "Grandma always unloads the dishwasher, so I don't have to do that job while she is here!" I told my mom that and we both had a good chuckle...so, we're excited for our trip to the airport today!

I'm also a bit giddy today about this card...I told you about my fun online shopping at Joann.com...well, I found this October Afternoon paper that I just can't do with out!! I love it SO much! The colors are simply delicious! The patterns are so perfect...I really LOVE it! I'm working on a stash of birthday cards--we have the wonderful blessing of being part of a BIG family, so we have birthdays every month! So, my card stash of birthday cards never lasts too long! I wanted to use this fun new single from LAD! Isn't that Number Block awesome!? I love, love, love it! This is one of those stamps that I liked, but as soon as I saw it on paper...I was in LOVE! Happy mail?! I think so!! Isn't it fun what paper can do for your heart? My sketch was one that I had found in an old sketch book...I think the layers are really fun, and with this paper...well, you get the idea!

I think this paper is just the inspiration I've been waiting for-I'm ready to get going giving my kids rooms some love...and yea, now I'm all sorts of excited!!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by! Make it a great one...and laugh until your cheeks hurt! (Which just as a little side note, Myles and Lucy got a HUGE case of the giggles at dinner last night and all of us had a case of hurting cheeks...it was so fun!)

Thinking of You

Good morning friends! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. We are all finally among the land of the living!! I am loving the sunshine we're having...but on my it's been chilly!! But you know, I'll take crystal clear and freezing...I love seeing the blue sky!

I'm sharing a little something today that I made with a particular person in mind...and I'm so thankful for her! I'm happy to report that I'm doing pretty well on getting my cards in the mail, in fact my daughter put 4 cards out for the mail man yesterday--it felt good! I went through my "stash" and found a bundle cards that I remember making so clearly, and they never got sent...so no more of that!! This card will be mailed!
The apron is from the Winter Mix "Lucky in Love" and the Thinking of you is from the "Perfect Phrases" stamp set, both from LAD. I used some new October Afternoon paper...love those colors!! A few punches, some ribbon (crushed curry from SU)....and we're all set!

Oh, did you know that JoAnn's has a GREAT online selection of paper/scrapbooking supplies?!! They have a HUGE selection of brands, and they are almost always 40% off!! I'm just saying that I just got a package in the mail (how can you pass up 40% off paper and such and then getting free shipping!?) and I'm so happy! I never knew their online store was so awesome! So, if you search by brand you'll be as floored as I was!!

Anyway, have a great one...and remember...."laugh until your cheeks hurt!"

Happy Birthday!

Good afternoon frinends!! Had a little trouble online for some reason today...this wanted to be posted earlier!! This fun Funky Birthday image is one of the LAD new February Singles! It's sure a fun one!!
I paired the image with some Nook and Pantry paper from Basic Grey and I also added a cupcake from the Banner Birthday stamp set! My inspiration for the layout was from Card Patterns sketch 100!

Have a great one..see you tomorrow!!
