Happy Birthday

Good morning!! Today is a day we've been waiting very patiently for...a few weeks ago I got an email with an airline parents are coming up today! We are blessing Max at church on Sunday and they are coming up to join us...we are SO excited! My kids have been on some serious excitement pills today...just counting down the moments until they got to go to bed! I love that they are so excited! I have to tell you something funny...Lucy was talking to someone the other day and told them that one of the things she loves about when Grandma comes is that, "Grandma always unloads the dishwasher, so I don't have to do that job while she is here!" I told my mom that and we both had a good, we're excited for our trip to the airport today!

I'm also a bit giddy today about this card...I told you about my fun online shopping at, I found this October Afternoon paper that I just can't do with out!! I love it SO much! The colors are simply delicious! The patterns are so perfect...I really LOVE it! I'm working on a stash of birthday cards--we have the wonderful blessing of being part of a BIG family, so we have birthdays every month! So, my card stash of birthday cards never lasts too long! I wanted to use this fun new single from LAD! Isn't that Number Block awesome!? I love, love, love it! This is one of those stamps that I liked, but as soon as I saw it on paper...I was in LOVE! Happy mail?! I think so!! Isn't it fun what paper can do for your heart? My sketch was one that I had found in an old sketch book...I think the layers are really fun, and with this paper...well, you get the idea!

I think this paper is just the inspiration I've been waiting for-I'm ready to get going giving my kids rooms some love...and yea, now I'm all sorts of excited!!

I hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by! Make it a great one...and laugh until your cheeks hurt! (Which just as a little side note, Myles and Lucy got a HUGE case of the giggles at dinner last night and all of us had a case of hurting was so fun!)

Lovin this! A while back I was looking for a birthday card for a friend's son. I had zero luck finding what I was looking for. I told a group of friends about this problem one night while we were having a few drinks. We proceeded to get smashed and make up a bunch of greeting cards we found funny. I had been writing down the cards we made up and the next morning I read them. Much to my surprise the cards were still funny even when sober.

Sounds like you've got an exciting weekend coming up ~ that's fab! LOVE this birthday card and so appropriate for anyone. I need to get in my stamp room and go at it as I'm needing to rebuild my stash. Great shopping job by the looks of this paper and the stamp is awesome. Show your folks lots of love and enjoy! I miss mine dearly.
