Cheery Day!

Hey there friends! I hope you are doing great! I am loving that I had to drop the blindes because the SUN is so bright today! I love that great big yellow ball in the sky! Here in Seattle, we really love seeing it in the winter months...as it seems to hide most of the time!;) I drew the color inspiration for this card from the sunny day we are having...and the layout from Dawn McVey. I have loved her design style and bold color choices for several years now...love, love, love her.

The UPS man brought me some new goodies...and let's just say I'm glad to have a bit of time to play! It is so amazing what a bit of creating time does for this momma!! I've been working on a couple of orders of cards--and I'm really enjoying the creating process!! Don't you love those days!?

I used some of my new PTI goodies on this card...you'll be seeing a lot of new PTI goodness in the coming days! I feel like using these stamps "takes me back" to just ink and cardstock...and it makes my heart so happy! I know that sounds silly...but I think most of you understand what I mean!?

I have a favor to ask of you, my dear creative friends! A Lot of you know about my love for Red Fred Bodoni and his Jolly Troop...he's been in my sidebar for a while now!! You'll note that in my new profile photo, I'm joined by a sweet little bird...her name is Yvette.
She is part of the Jolly Troop...that I love so much!

Anyway, my brother is the creator of this Jolly Troop and is just oozing with excitement about these wonderful birds. He is working on getting some things in NYC going...and is participating in the 3RD Ward  Open all for a really wonderful opportunity! Might you take a second and vote for him? You can simply click here, and be taken right to the link to vote...it would mean so much to me!! If you have a few extra mintues, and you'd like to learn a little bit more about the Jolly Troop, go here....

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a fantastic cheery day!!! See you tomorrow!

I've had a button in the sidebar for a while now...and I'm so excited that great things are happening! I'd love for you to take a few minutes and meet some of the most wonderful birds around! I'd love for you to meet Red Fred Bodoni and the Jolly Troop! This welcoming friends have found their way into my heart! They all have a little something special that they want to share and are gearing up for some GREAT things a head!

I'm excited for what lies ahead with these feathered friends...like this...some fantastic designers are working on some paper for us all to enjoy! The paper will avaliable for download first off, and then printing will happen, to say I'm excited doesn't give enough expression!! I can't wait to have these patterns in my hands! So, here is a taste of the Red Fred line...

And then here are a few samples of our celery eating, favorite green bird, Algernon! Aren't these patterns delicious!?

I'd love you to take a second of your time...and you'll be excited that you did...promise...to take a looksie around their "nest" and see what they've been up to. There are fantastic photos of the many travels they have taken, landmarks they have been, we even found Yvette in Paris! There is so much to enjoy...I hope you'll take a second and take a peek!

Happy Friday afternoon friends! I hope you're having a great Friday! We're busy working on valentines to send to several of our dear ones...and I wanted to share something on someone fun with you! I'd like to introduce you to Red Fred Bodoni. Red Fred(as we call him) is this beautiful bird you see here in this valentine! He has his own blog and a great group of feathered friends known as The Jolly Troop. These birds are very close to my heart-as my brother is their creator-and to all those that know them! I want to share a few reasons WHY Red Fred makes me happy...

I'd love for you to take a few moments to fly over to the blog and take a peek at Red Fred and his wonderful Jolly Troop. If you have small ones-my children look forward to the posts on the Jolly Blog, they adore the coloring pages that are posted every Friday...they eat, sleep and breath these birds...yours will love them too!! If you don't have small ones around, I think you'll enjoy it all just as much!! There is fantastic writing, beautiful photography, great design...it's ALL fantastic, and I'm not just saying that! Take a peek and I'm sure you'll agree!!

For an examples, this valentine, is part of a series that will make a perfect little Valentine book for my kids! We've been printing the new page daily and my kids are really loving it! The poem is by EE Comings.

Another great thing to note about the Red Fred Blog, is that there is a link to a great online store that allows you to purchase t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags...and they are SO fun! Funny, I'm wearing on of the t-shirts today, and nothing makes my baby Ruby happier than seeing Yvette Garamouche on my t-shirt...(I'm excited that she'll be getting her own Yvette tee for her birthday from Grandma...thanks momma!). Even my 2(in just a few days, can you belive it!?) year old daughter has her favorite bird and gets all sorts of happy every time she spies her golden figure!

Thank you for letting me share...this brand of birds is fantastic, creative, smart, funny, you'll love it! I'd love to hear what you think(or love) about Red Fred and the Jolly Troop, so let me know after you've taken a peek! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! See you soon!
