Cardabilities Sketch Reveal!

Good morning friends! Where did this week go..? Dr. appointments, preparing for our new bundle to join us...trick or treating at Daddy's office, Fall parties at school...it's been a great week!

Today is the 30th, and thus the day to reveal a new Cardabilities Sketch with you! This is sketch #14, isn't it a great one!? I'm excited to share my take on the sketch with you! With tomorrow being Halloween, I thought this saying would be perfect! I must admit that I do LOVE this stamp...so fun! This great stamp is found in the October Monthly Mix, Sweet and Spooky , from LAD. I must admit I LOVE this mix...perhaps my favorite one yet!

I started with a black card, added a layer of pumpkin pie cardstock and then some MM patterened paper. I think the tulle on this card turned out so fun! I used a lighter to burn around the edges--and made some holes in side--didn't it turn out spooky!? I just used the adhesive on the back of the black oval to attach the tulle to the card. I stamped the image and then used smoe distress ink to make the vanilla cardstock a bit more aged. I added a black button on to of a tulle bow and then added an orange spider! Isn't it fun to have a spider that is 3d with the other 2 stamps spiders?! The spiders are also from the Sweet and Spooky stamp set.

Be sure to get over to the Cardabilities Blog to check out the other designs from the design team...I'm sure you'll find a load of inspiration!! Have a great day...and a wonderful weekend!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Spooktacular!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! I have another little someting to share that we made at our Kids Card Class this week. I found the inspiration for this card here, and wanted to make it something a bit more spooky...and fell in love with these little black owls!
I made them with the Owl Punch from SU. I also used the bird punch from SU for the branches. The eyes are part of the owl punch, and the beak is a 1/4" square cut in half. The patterned paper is retired SU and is mounted on pumpkin pie. The sentiment, which is one of my ALL time favorite stamps from Lizzie Anne, is from the Hallow's Eve stamp set. Isn't it just wonderful!?

The kids had a great time with this one...and want more owls...so we'll have to see how we can use this little owl punch again next week! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make it great!

Trick or Treat!

Good morning friends! Just watnted to pop in quickly to share a fun project that we made at the after school class I'm teaching at the elementary school right now...the kids loved this one! I've been having a great time teaching this class during October...so many fun things out there to get ready for Halloween!:)

I've been working on getting a bunch of older paper used....the kids don't care that it's retired and it is still in great shape=happy jeni!:) So, I paired an older SU Halloween paper up with some pupmpkin pie, black and here you have it!
I cut the bats out with my Silhouette...love that machine. The scalloped circles were made with my Big Shot and a scallop circle die. The black scallop was made with my Big Shot and my PTI scallop die, I think this one is the large die. The glitter is Onyx tinsel glitter by Martha Stewart and we just laid down a strip of scor-tape and then piled the glitter on. **The kids thought this glitter was the coolest ever, "it is SO soft!" It's really a cool product! The Trick or Treat stamp come from the LAD set Hallow's Eve, which I love with all my heart! We used dimensional adhesive on the back of the bats to raise them up a bit...fun, fun, fun!!

I'll share a couple more Kids Card Class samples the next few days...we've got from Kindergarten to 3rd grade...and a lot of fun in between!! Thanks a bundle for stopping by! Make it great!:)

LAD Blog DT Challenge

Good morning friends! I hope you are having a great week! We're having a good one...I'm in serious "nesting" mode...4 weeks from yesterday we'll be holding our new little baby! I picked up some little sleepers and blankies...so excited to wrap our new little bundle up!!

Speaking of wrapping bundles...the LAD design team has a challenge today to share a card and another "gift" item...and I think everyone has a different stamp set...it should be a great bit of inspiration to look through the dt blogs!! You can check out the details on the LAD blog here.
The stamp set I used today is called "Rockin' Holiday", isn't that a great Santa!? (it's 20% off right now too!) I used some of my new MME holiday paper, black cardstock and ripe avocado ribbon for the main pieces of this ensamble. I colored Santa with copics, added some flocking to santa's suit and hat...I'm excited to bust out more flocking...it adds such a great detail!
Here is a closeup of the tag I created to attach onto this Test Tube full of red M&M's. I think this will be a fun little ensamble for the kids to take to their little neighbor friends and will be something that they can participate in and enjoy success in making!
Here is the full tube with m&ms...fun, fun, fun! Now, just to hide this tube of candy from my little Ruby...she has been enjoying mommy working with candy the last few days!!;)
Have a great day and thanks a bundle for stopping by!

Lizzie Anne Blog Hop

Good morning again friends, this is post #2 for today, now for some fun new LAD stamps! I'm so excited about this new Mix for November...The Key to Happiness! The images in this mix are delicious!! I'm excited to use this mix for a load of our Christmas cards year...it's really a fantastic mix! You can see the mix on the LAD blog, check it out! Isn't this paper delicious!? It's a new holiday pattern from My Mind's Eye! I love it so much...and can see many a use for it! It's one of those papers that I feel like I could frame and hang on the wall!

I paired the patterned paper with Chocolate Chip and Aqua Mist cardstock, buttons and ribbon. Yes, there is a bit of brown tulle with the button/ribbon also! I love this beautiful sentiment...I will be using it a lot!

Be sure to check out the mix and join in the great fun with the blog hop going on!! Thanks so much for stopping by and make it a great one!!

Cardabilities Sketch Reveal!

Morning friends! Hope you are all having a wonderful day...October 15th, can you belive it!? October is halfway over...a few more Halloween bits to share! Today is the Cardabilities Reveal for Sketch #13! I've had a bit of fun with spiders this holiday...love these little guys!

Run over to the Cardabilities Blog to see the sketch and get a little preview of the fun things the design has to share!
I dug through my stash of things that have been neglected for a while...and found these great green Hambly Screens...love them to pieces!! I rubbed one onto some basic gray paper from SU and then just used my two little hands to tear the paper into a circle to give a bit more "spooky" look to the card. I also grabbed some rub-ons from Kaisercrafts for my "boo"...aren't they great!? My paper is from Pink Paisley and...oh, I used some great tinsel-like glitter in Onyx, from Martha Stewart on a strip of sticky strip to add a bit of dimension...I haven't done that in forever and it's such a fun effect! I added a bow, some buttons from PTI and then finished the card off with three eight-legged friends!

This card made it's way downstairs and is being displayed as part of our Halloween decor...so fun!

Thanks a bundle for stopping by today! I've got another post for today...new LAD stamps! Have a great one and see you soon!!

Let it Snow

Good morning friends. I've decided that with new baby coming so soon, I really should get a big jump start on getting some holiday cards ready before the little one comes! I hit a newly found local scrapbook store yesterday and bought some FRESH new holiday papers...YUM!

I decided to pair this fun Tall Snowman single from LAD(which is 20% off right now!)with some of my new found joy!:) These papers are from MME and are fresh and clean and I love them!!
My layout was inspired by Meridith's Sketch for the week from the LAD blog . I used some flower soft to add some "snow" to my snowman with my invitation to "Let it Snow" which came from the Holiday Script stamp set(which is also 20% off right now too!). I paired my patterned paper with some Aqua Mist cardstock and ribbon...

Hope you have a great one! Thanks so much fro stopping by...I sincerely appreciate it!

Boo!

Good morning friends! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just been on serious Mommy Duty! We're all doing great, just finished my daughters soccer season and will be starting basketball for my son tonight! We are doing our best to be patient as we await the arrival of our new baby...5 weeks from TODAY! I've got an appointment at the hospital and am really excited about our new addition! I'm starting to slow down just a tad...and am thankful that I'm able to do so right now! Anyway that's what's up in our part of the world! Oh, and wonderful CRISP fall weather!! Life is good!

I'm playing along with a sketch from the Bo Bunny Blog today. Isn't it a fun sketch!? I just love this cut "Whoo-Ligans" paper...isn't it fun!?
All of the patterned paper is Bo Bunny, my card base is Pumpkin Pie, from SU. I used the Owl punch, also from SU, to make the Ghost and little one-eyed Monster. Aren't googlie eyes fantastic!? We've been having a great time with them this October! That delicious **double sided** polka dot ribbon is also from Bo Bunny, and I can't get enough of it! It is so great to have polkas on both sides of the ribbon!! I used my ever loved corner-chomper to round the edges of three of all the panels of the card...just giving a little something extra. The buttons are from PTI and I think that does it!

Have a great one friends! I've got more fun and will be back to my regular posting...with new Cardabilities sketches coming up and new Lizzie Anne Designs stamps!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make it a fanastic one!!

Good morning and Happy World Card Making Day! I hope that you'll have a little time today to either make some new cards, or maybe send some in the mail...isn't it great what a little envelope in the mailbox does for a smile on your face!?

I'm back with more fun Lizzie Anne Designs stamps today. Yes, I do have a special place in my heart for this skull...I'm not sure why, but it is my favorite Halloween image I've been using this year!! The image is from the Sweet and Spooky stamp set, which is the Monthly Mix set for October.
I pulled out some fun new Making Memories paper more fun fibers from SEI, and some PTI buttons for some added details on this one! I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #157 for my layout and think it's a super great sketch! I think it's one that is really easy to use with any style card!

I used a sketch from last weeks LAD Sketch Challenge, #143, for my layout. I turned the sketch a bit, but had a lot of fun making this card! As you can tell, I'm loving this paper from Pink Paisley!! Oh, my delicious!!
