Cardabilities Sketch #8

Good morning friends! Today is a fun day, it's the revealing of another Cardabilities sketch! Today you'll get to see the fun sketch #8! Be sure to head over to the Cardabilities blog to see all the great work from the Design Team!!
I used some loved but not used in a while stamps--Circle Circus and Well Scripted stamp sets from Stampin' Up! I chose a bright color palette...Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Chocolate Chip brown...love these together! I used my Scallop Circle die from SU to create my card-just scoring down a little bit on the top of the scallop and then attaching the two scallops together! I also used my circle nestabilites and labels 8 nestabilites. My punches used were 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" circles. My button is from PTI and my ribbon is from SU. Oh, and my polka dot paper is from AC.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!! Be sure to take a look around at the great work from the other DT girls!!

I've got another little baseball player birthday card to share with you today. I've got several a nephew that would love this little baseball player...so I'm happy to have him in my little people collection from LAD!
My designer paper is old retired SU paper, I paired it with Kiwi Kiss and Ridinghood Red cardstock. I colored my little baseball star with copics and then used my MS grass punch to place him in the outfield! I used my two star punches, fancy label punch and my tag label punch all from SU for my sentiment.

I hope you all have a fantastic day...happy sunny summer day to you!!

Happy Saturday friends! I hope you've had a good day today!! You know when you think you've got something done, and are all excited that you're a head of the game, and then you realize that you missed something!? This post meant to go out early this morning...so goes my life right now!!
For the DT challenge this month, we were supposed to use something that isn't normally used in our card making/crafting. I was looking around my desk and found these cork furniture disks that I had just used and realized that they'd be great balloons!! The image is from the August Mix...and I just used the self adhesive cork to add some fun texture!!

I hope you have a chance to check out all the DT samples today...they are so creative!! And be sure to hop on over to the LAD blog for the full details!:)

Cardabilties Sketch Reveal!

Good morning friends! I hope you have been having a great week...we've had a great one, filled with cub scout day camp, b.day party and all that goes along with that, plenty of otter pops, and me busting out the sewing machine to make some fun things for my girls!! I don't sew often, I'm not very good, but for some reason the sewing machine is calling my name right now!! I've made 3 skirts in 2 days...yep, loving it!! And my girls think I am the coolest mom around, since I let them pick the fabric and then made something they can wear and match....fun times!!

Speaking of fun, today is the Cardabilites Sketch Blog reveal for Sketch #7!! I love the sketch and have been having a hard time not using the sketch until it went live!! So, here is my take on the sketch! I used the Sweet Pea stamp set from PTI...they are some of my most favorite flowers of all time and I knew I HAD to have that stamp set!! I also used Signature Greetings from PTI for my sentiment. I wanted a nice soft color combo...isn't it dreamy!? Sweet Blush and Hibiscus Burst with a little pop of New Leaf. The border punch I used is from SU.

Hope you have a great day! Be sure to check the Cardabilities blog for some great talent from the DT!! I've also got a LAD post today, so be sure to check it out to...NEW Mix stamps!!!:)

Summer is here!

Happy Friday friends! I think Summer has finally arrived, here in the wonderful NW! We enjoyed much sunshine and heat yesterday..and my son told me he wished it was Christmas because it was cold at Christmas! Yes, my kids are true NW kids!!

I wanted to share a couple of the cards we made for my Just for Girls card classes this past Wednesday. I had two classes and all the girls really enjoyed the projects...that is so fun. We made 4 cards and they got to choose one of the 4 to send to Grace, and they got so excited to write her a little note and pick the perfect card to send to her...it was super!!
I've seen several cards and projects around the internet with wonderful butterflies...this card was inspired by a wall hanging I saw on The Idea Room this week. I used some retired SU paper(that I just LOVE), my MS butterfly punch, Swiss Dots embossing folder and some Tempting Turquoise cardstock. I also gave each of the girls 3 rhinestones to add some bling to their butterflies. On the inside of the card is where we placed the "Thinking of You" sentiment.

This card was made with one of my favorite SU stamp sets, Circle Circus. I used Regal Rose, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo for the color choices. We stamped each stamp in the coordinating ink and then chomped two corners of each 2" square. The vanilla bow is mounted on a large clear button and then the sentiment is from the Really Retro(retired) SU set.

I'm happy to have nothing on my radar today. We're going to enjoy a lazy summer day today, which means I'll get a large chunck of time to play with my paper and stamps!! Hope you have a great one...thanks a load for stopping by!!

For the Mommy to "Bee"

Good evening friends! I hope you are doing well!:) I was excited to write a post today about being a "Mommy to Bee"...yes, baby #4 is on it's way!! I was going to tell you a little bit more about the baby because I had an ultrasound today, but baby didn't really want to be seen this morning! So, I have to go back in a couple of weeks to see if the baby will let them measure him or her more accurately! I'm just over 20 weeks now, so baby will be arriving mid November. I am happy to report that I am starting to feel human(on most days) again! We are really excited about this new baby and are happy that things are going well. I'm past my "scary" point and that is very comforting. This might be a larger portion of why I've been a little less than my normal self the last few months;). So, there you have some excitement from me today...baby #4 is in the oven!!

LAD has a great Sixlet set called Great Expectations, and it's got some great images/sentiments. I love this little bee...I made these little bee's representing my kids. I colored them all just a little different and glittered two(my girls LOVE glitter). I left the 4th blank as we're not sure abut that one yet! I used Laura's sketch 55 over at 2SFY, I think it's a super fun one! I've got a few friends that are expecting and find this stamp set a great one to have for new babies but also for the mommy too!

...so I'll see you in the am! I had a Just For Girls card class today and what we made turned out really fun, so I'll share those over the next few days! We think it's finally summer, the 4th of July was around 60 degrees--freezing cold at night...and today we hit 89 degrees!! Yea for some warmer weather!

Take care and make it great!

Happy Birthday 2 You!

Good morning friends! I hope that you are doing well! We've had a great long weekend and sure enjoyed our fun time together this weekend! With the 4th falling on a Sunday, we enjoyed 3 days of great time together with wonderful friends...and of course my cute little peeps!

I've got several birthdays coming up and wanted to get a few cards ready for the events, so I busted out some of my "Huge Cupcake" printable stamps from Cutting Cafe. I've decided that I love this image and will be using it a lot in the future. My girls also really enjoyed being able to make their own lovely cupcakes...so this is a popular image at my house!
I paired the cupcake image up with some American Crafts "Craft Fair" patterned papers and then used some Lavender Moon ribbon from PTI for my accents. The fun little round sentiment came from the All Occasions set, also from Cutting Cafe.

I hope you have a great day...thanks a bundle for stopping by!! And just to report on my baby, she's doing much better...thanks for your well wishes!:) See you tomorrow...I've got some fun news to share!

Sick Baby...

Happy evening friends. I've had a sick baby today...so I'm a bit later in sharing than I'd like to be! But hey, better late than not right!? She woke up with a fever and has been needing me today...and I LOVE it. Ruby is a perfect baby(although she is so big it's hard to call her my baby!) to snuggle with! She loves getting cozy and reading books...holidng her baby and just being perfect. She's not the easiest child to deal with whilst sick, and yes, I'm a bit sleepy...but she's content with the other kids right now...so I'm stealing a moment!!

This card is made with one of the fun new Sixlets sets that came out in the last release from LAD. The stamp set is called Great Expectations, and has six super great images/sentiments.
I paired the whimsical tree image with some yummy MME paper...and boy I love this color combination!! It's been in my head lately and can't seem to move away from the front of the line!!

Hope you had a great day, enjoyed summer to the fullest and sleep well tonight....toodles and see you tomorrow!!
