Thinking of You...

Good morning friends. I hope you are doing well this Thursday morning! I seem to be drawn to beautiful green things...I guess my person is ready for lots of beautiful green grass and if possible some flowers to boot! With the rain that comes to us in Seattle, we know the green WILL come...just hoping we don't drown in the rain that brings it!;)

Although today isn't Monday, I wanted to play along with the "Cure for the Monday Blues" challenge. I LOVE the pattern on the rug.... and the floral pattern on the wall and I LOVE the pops of bright color! I was excited to find that my stencil matched the rug... anyway...I love the inspiration photo...

I also used the new Freshly Made Sketch.  I loved the simple cleanness of it..as always!! This particular stencil is from Simon Says Stamp. I used Mowed Lawn distress ink for most of the color, then after I took off the stencil I lightly used my ink blending tool to add a little bit of Peacock Feather distress ink too. Just a little hint of the Peacock Feather... The Moxie Fab Challenge that is currently going on is about stencils... YEA!! I have been smitten with them...
My floral pattern is from an American Crafts Spring pad I picked up at Target the other day...and the colors are SO fresh and vibrant...I love them all!! The sentiment is also new for me, it's from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set. I stamped it with some Hero's Hues Black ink.

My lovely feathers...were cut out of watercolor paper with the Wplus9 Fanciful Feathers dies. I used distress ink to water color them, then used some Martha Stewart Neon glitters to add some texture and shine!! I had to almost fight my daughter Ruby for these feathers...I was letting them dry on my desk and she spotted them...oh boy! You will be happy to know that she painted a whole bird worth of feathers today...and they have all been glitified and are awaiting being put onto cards when she gets home from school today!

The last piece of my card are my cute pink sequins...that are FLAT! They are a new Heidi Swapp RUB-ON! How fun are they...VERY!! There are some great shaped rub-ons that you will see in the coming days...SO much fun!!

I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow for some more fun!! Thanks care and thanks for stopping by!!

Moxie Fab!

Hey all! Happy Monday to you! My day was well planned...and my baby woke up with a fever. Everything is on hold until tomorrow. She's doing better now, but it is so hard to have a sick baby! I feel so sorry for her! She's spent the morning laying down with her blankie and wanting to be held by me. So, my list of things to do will wait...I'm loving this cuddling time!

I did get a few minutes to sit down at my desk this am. She's busy with my adhesive drawer. She keeps saying "hmmm...let's see..." she's unloading and reloading and then doing it again! So, I stole a few minutes to get to play with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger for the week! Oh my word...let's just say I had a great time!
My color palette included, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, and Summer Sunrise. I used the Floral Fusion sizzlet from SU to create several flower die cuts, then wadded them up, layered them up, punched a hole with my crop-a-dile for a brad and added a chestnut brown AC brad to the center of my flowers...YUM!

I tied nice Summer Sunrise ribbon across the top of the card, added a tuft of tulle behind the bow. My sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages, from PTI. I stamped it with chocolate chip ink.

Ok, baby needs me now. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! See you tomorrow!

Love You!

Hey there friends! How in the world is today Thursday, and where has this week gone!? It's been a quick one for me! We're trying to stay healthy....the cough and sniffles have started to move through the kids and I'm doing my best to keep them at bay! The change in the weather always brings a few of these things to my family. But, the leaves are falling off the trees, and on the walk to school this morning, my son informed me that it really was fall, "look at all the leaves on the ground!"

So, onto today's card! I have a girlfriend that is need of a little extra love this week...she's having a rough time right now and I wanted to make something fun to send her in the mail. So, my card for today was started!
I started with my vanilla card basee. I used my fiskars apron border punch on a layer of chocolate chip cardstock and then mounted it on my card. I used a piece of an oldie but GOODIE, stampin' up's retired Au Chocolate dsp. I love this paper...it is so beautiful! It is so fun to get intot that stash of things that have taken a back seat for a while!! I used sticky strip to attach my dusty durango ribbon and then ruffled it a bit...which makes it a good contestant in the current Moxie Fab Challenge.

I used my blossom nestabilities to cut three flowers out of dusty durango and chocolate chip cardstock. I did a number on them, distressing them, then put them together with a chocolate chip brad. I attached it to my card and then moved to my sentiment.

I wanted to say "love you" but didn't really have the right stamp to use...so I chose to go with some alphabet stickers. These are from American Crafts. They were origionally white, but I went over them with my dusty durango stampin' write marker to make them match just perfect! I went over them a couple of times--to get a nice solid look.

I hope it will bring a smile to her face and help her know how much I love her and am thinking about her!! Thanks for stopping by today...have a great one!!
