When Witches Go Riding...

Happy Tuesday morning friends! I hope you are doing swell!! Is the weather offically "Fall" in your part of the world!? We've had a great starting to the season, rain, rain, and more rain! Perfect for some soup in the crockpot, warm bread from the oven and a football game or two! I sincerely love Fall and all that comes along with it....crisp apples...oh my!!

Anyway, I've also got something for Halloween decor. I'm not sure why the decorations make me so happy, but they certainly do! I've just finished showering our home with festive spooky and fall themed decor...and it makes me HAPPY! I think that is why you're going to see almost a complete week's worth of Halloween projects this week! Hope to get you in the festive mood too!
This card was based on the Clean and Simple FTL 109 sketch this week. I loved the sketch and was excited to use these fun spider images! Now, in real life I do not like spiders, kill them whenever I can(sorry for the gore!) but for some reason they made me really happy on this card! The image is from the October Mix "Sweet and Spooky" which you have heard me say over and over is a WONDERFUL mix of images/sentiments! I stamped the spider several times on some vanilla cardstock then used some distress ink and a sponge to make it look a bit aged! I used pumpkin pie and black cardstocks, and my patterned paper is from Making Memories.

For the scallop on the side of the spider panel, I just punched severl circles and then attached them so they were a bit uneven and not uniform. I think that little bit adds a fun punch to the simplicity and spooky factor of the card! The sentiment is also from Sweet and Spooky...what a fun sentiment, don't you think!?

I hope you have a great day, thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to make it a great one!!

Happy Halloween!

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a wonderful productive day on Saturday...and I got several hours to get a bunch of creating done...perfect weekend! I'm working on a couple of projects--crafting, but not cardish crafting...and I'm excited to share them soon!

I bought a few sheets of some delicous Pink Paisley Halloween paper that I thought paired perfect with some of the images from the October Mix, Sweet and Spooky, from LAD! I love this image of skull with cross bones...and teamed up with Elegant Eggplant ink and these great papers...isn't it a fun spooky card!? Kendra is hosting the LAD sketch challenge today and I loved her sketch! This card is my interpretation of the sketch. Check out the LAD blog to see the sketch and play along!!
My cardstock is Elegant Eggplant and the patterned paper is from Pink Paisley. I used some Old Olive ribbon, a few punches and my nesties and there you have it!

I'm getting myself ready for another round of afterschool card making at the elementary...such a fun 6 weeks!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care and don't forget to make it great!!

LAD Release Day!

Good morning and happy new stamp day! Today is the release day of some great new LAD stamps!! Be sure to check out the LAD blog this am to see the complete sets and get in on the release day fun!

This card is showing a couple of fun things, more images from the Vintage Birthday stamp set..love, love, love!! And a peek at another of the great papers from the digital paper that goes along with this stamp set!
I used Jenn's SFYTT sketch from this past Saturday for my layout, and am happy to have gotten to play along with her challenge! My card is a soft and girly card and perfect for getting into the mail to my niece! I paired the digi paper up with some Pink Pirouette cardstock...the most perfect pink there is! Isn't that cake image so fun!? I used one of my stash of dirty vingate buttons from a flea market in Dallas, TX. I just need to clean them all, but cleaning buttons is just lower on my list of things to get done right now, know what I mean!?

This next card is the 2nd of my Christmas card stash for the season. I must confess...I busted out the Chirstmas music while I was making these cards...and it made me so happy! This little tall snowman is the other Single that is being released today...isn't he super cute! He's got a lot of possibilities and is a wonderful winter stamp! I paired him up with the Merry Christmas sentiment from the "Deck the Halls" stamp set. My paper is retired SU paper. I also added a bit of shiney, wonderful red glitter to my snowman...love that little bit of sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day today!! Take care and make it great!

Sneak Peeks...

Good morning friends! I hope you are all having a great weekend! We've had a great week, jam packed with goodness, a princess party and then a bit of relaxation yesterday! It's so nice to have weekends to play catch up and have a little down time, don't you think!?

Today you are going to get a little sneak peek of some fun new LAD stamps! They will be released tomorrow, and you can enjoy the perks of a new release with a sale and all sorts of goodness!! Be sure to head to the LAD blog to see the full sets and the two singles that are being released...they are super!

I've got two cards to share with you today...saving more fun for this week! I've got some fun cards to share...it's so fun to have new stamps, don't you agree!? Anyway, this first card is showing a new single called "Merry Christmas." I love the look of the sentiment and think it will be a great addition to my collection for many a Christmas project this season!
I wanted to keep it simple and clean...I used the sketch from the OCC sketch challenge as my inspiration for the layout. I used Ripe Avocado, Chocolate Chip and some patterened paper from PTI for my paper choices. I also used some Chocolate Chip grosgrain and Avocado and Chocolate buttons. I used a little bit of Chocolate Chip glitter...and I came to the conclusion that I've missed my glitter!! It's been a while...so you'll be seeing a bit more glitter this week...such a great addition to any project!

This next card is showing a couple of images from the Vintage Birthday stamp set. Let me tell you something, I L.O.V.E, love this stamp set! It's so great! Another fun bit about this stamp set is that it has some FANTASTIC digital paper to match it! This cloud paper on my card is one of the beautiful designs of digital paper...perfect!
I paired my sweet cloud paper with some Summer Sunrise cardstock, and I'm loving the blue sky and bright sunny yellow together! I used my nesties to cut the ovals, tied some Summer Sunrise ribbon 'round, and colored my balloon with copics. I added a few little Summer Sunrise pearls, Kaisercrafts, to my balloon and I just love the look it gave the whole card!
I hope you enjoyed your little sneak peek...thanks so much for stopping by! Make today a great one!! Be sure to check back tomorrow for a few more bits of new stamps fun!!

LAD Mix Preview!

Good morning friends! This is post #2 for today...so scroll down to see the Cardabilities Sketch reveal too!:) Today the October Mix "Sweet & Spooky" is being previewed over on the LAD blog! I think it could be my favorite Mix set to date...it's super delicious!!

I paired this great autumn image up with something else super fun..don't you love this great polka dot paper?! It's from the new Digital Paper pack, Autumn Mix, also being previewed today! It's a great pack of paper and perfect to have to print as much as you'd like to print! I love that feature of digital paper!

This next card is a "Lucy" Original. My sweet daughter fell in love with this mix!!

My newly 6 year old daughter made this card. She wanted to stamp with me and fell in love with the mix too...she wanted to make a "spooky" card. So, she went to town and made this card all by her self...and wanted me to take a photo of it and them make it so she could "see it on the computer." Didn't she do a great job!? I think it turned out great!

Ok, time to run. Have a great day and thanks a bunch for stopping by!!

Cardabilities Sketch 11 Reveal Day!

Good morning friends! Happy Wednesday to you all! Can you belive Setember 15th already!? That means another Cardabilities Sketch Reveal for you! This sketch, was great fun and I'm excited to share my take on the sketch with you!

I decided to keep a bit simple...Kraft and Lemon Tart for my colors today. And the pearls on the corner of the "thank you" really don't look so crazy in real life, but couldn't get them to look right on the photo...strange!!
I used my polka dot basics 2 background stamps from PTI and my trusty and very old borders and corner squares stamps-also from PTI for this card. I used versamark and clear embossing powder for the polka dots on the kraft card base. I used a bit of patterned paper from PTI as well, backed with some delicious Lemon Tart paper.

I stamped my thank you and square frame with versamark and embossed with clear powder then mounted on a bit more lemon tart...love it. I tied it all up with some nice satin Lemon Tart ribbon, and added a few pearls from Kaisercraft for a bit of detail.

I hope you get a chance to take a peek at the rest of the designer's work...it's always so fun to see what everyone did with the sketch-and how different each card is! You're also welcome to play along with the sketch--and link up with Mr. Linky...and let everyone else see what you did with the sketch!

Have a great one and thanks a bundle for stopping by!:)

Leaves...

Good morning friends! I was driving a bit yesterday and noticed that indeed, FALL is upon us. The leaves are turning colors and there is so much beautiful color around...I was inspired to use some more Cutting Cafe goodness and make this card...
Just a clean and simple one...using the Welcome Fall set from Cutting Cafe. I liked the Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie and a kiss of Lemon Tart...

Hope you have a great one! Thanks a bundle for stopping by!!

Spooky!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well this morning!! I am excited to share my project for the Lizzie Anne Designs Design Team Challenge this month! We were supposed to used an older set of stamps(which was a good challenge in and of it's self! Fun to go back to use some of the older sets that don't get used as much!) to make a "Fallish" project. Tricia also had a sketch for us to use, and the sketch can be found here, on the LAD blog.
I looked through my older sets and rediscovered the love I have for this old black crow image!! Isn't it perfect!? The image is from the Something To Crow About Mix, from last September. I also loved the little spooky stamp, also in that Mix set. I used some paper from SU, I think it's called Night and Day, but I could be wrong--it is retired, that much I do know! I have this nice soft white fiberous trim from SEI and I think it goes along with the spooky images perfect! A few little black button from PTI, and I just created a favorite card...it just makes me happy!!

Head over to the LAD blog and check out the other fun Fall projects that the girls have come up with...you're sure to find some great inspiration!

Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!!

You Fill My Bucket take 2!

Hello everyone! Where in the world has this week gone!? I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off...(that is such a graphic image isn't it!?) and can't believe that September is in full swing! I've got a 6 year old daughter princess party going on in my head and a 5 year and 364 day old daughter that can't WAIT until Friday!! How exciting to be turning 6, just lost tooth #2, scoring the first few goals in her past 2 soccer games...and finally going to Kindergarten!! Life is good.

I wanted to share another little goodie with this LAD single...it's such a great image! It makes a great card for you bff that really does a number on helping you feel better about yourself and keeps your head up!! (Being just about to enter week 30 of my pregnancy, I'm feeling like a flippin' barn and I sincerely appreciate when my bffs help me fill my bucket!) I've got a few special thanks to give this card to-for the comment that just filled me right to the top!
I hope you have a great day!! Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!! Each of you that stop by and leave a little love contribute to filling my bucket and I appreciate it so much!! Thanks a bunch!!

Happy Fall!

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great long weekend(for those of you in the States!)! We think we might have seen the last of our summer...the leaves have started turning colors on the trees outside my window! This new Cutting Cafe file Welcome Fall, fit the bill perfectly for our weather the past few days! I thought I was safe from the rain for a few more months...and with the rain we've had the last few days, I'm seriously doubting that!:)
I used some soft suede, crushed curry and pumpkin pie cardstock, and some crushed curry patterned paper on this card. I added a bit of soft suede ribbon to tie across the card, love those polkas! The bloom is a felt one from SU as well, and a random chocolate button makes a perfect touch!

Hope you have a great day!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'm working on daily posts again and think that now that both kids are in school daily(my daughter only goes half day but has been waiting a week to start going every day), I'll get back to my regular scheduled posts:).

Thanks for being patient while summer ends, school begins and the life a mommy's crazy days never ends!:) Make it a great one!!

You fill my bucket!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well! Can't belive today is Thursday--a quickie week, that's for sure! I was all set to get something posted for yesterday--but Tuesday night I had a little "incident" (slammed my ring finger of my right hand in the back door of my van as I was slamming it shut....) with my finger and typing-or anthing else for that matter-was too painful! I've got a very lovely bruise all the way from fingernail-through to the pad of my finger! It's been a rough day...but it is finally starting to feel a little better. I'm happy that I don't have to hold it up over my head to keep it from throbbing anymore!;)

I have a fun little number to share from last month's singles from LAD. The new singles just got released today and I'll have something to share with you soon..they are super cuties!!
This single is called, You Fill My Bucket and I must confess that I love it!:) I colored the image with copics--using my Kaisercraft paper as inspiration. I used a rhinestone brad(it's been a long time since I pulled those little friends out!!) and some felt flowers from SU for my little accent. I used Summer Sunrise grosgrain and my nesties to cut my oval and scallop oval.

Hope you have a great one! Be back tomorrow with some fun too!! Take care and make it a great one! And be careful closing the doors to your vehicles!!!
