A gift for you

Happy Friday morning friends! Today is the Lizzie Anne Designs Design Team Challenge for December...we were challenged to make a tag/gift tag for the holidays...I apprecitae the challenge, it got a couple of little gifties for some friends checked off my list of things to do!;)

I am in love with this little marshmellow image...isn't it SO dang cute!? I love the little scarf and find it just a perfect winter image! It can be for Christmas or just winter stuffs, and makes me SO happy!! The image is from the December Mix, Warmest Wishes. The "a gift for you" comes from the Love and Joy Labels stamp set. I paired the image with some great candy stripped paper I picked up a few weeks ago. Isn't that great holiday paper!?
Here is the complete little gift ensamble I created. I made a fun card, filled a little 1/2 pint jar with hot chocolate mix, mint/chocolate chips, and marshmellows. I prettied up the jar with some paper, tulle, and ribbons...then added my little tag. It's so fun to create your own gift packaging and cards, don't you think!?

These are super and can be easily mass produced. With a new baby, my hoilday preperations are doing their best to stay simple and necessary. I'd say that we'll get a few more of these made up and ready to be given...so those people we love can have a little happy warm and toasty treat!:)

Here is what the little jar looks like...enough cocoa for 2 servings with some yummy mint/chocolate chips and marshmellows!!

Don't forget to check in on the LAD blog for the fun items the other DT girls are sharing...I'm sure we'll get a load of inspiration today!! Thanks so much for stopping by, make it a great one!!

I'm working on some projects and gifts today while my little Max is sleeping...so I'll have some fun to share in the next few days! Friday is the LAD DT challenge and it is a fun one! It will be great to get your wheels churning for some holiday help!!

See you soon...thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

Good morning friends! It's a frosty and cold December 6th morning. St. Nicholas stopped by earlier this morning, leaving our little house full of wonder and excitement!! The kids and I all cozied up in my bed and read the new Christmas books that He left with their shoes on the fireplace...and the Spirit of the season is getting sweeter and sweeter!

Having a new baby this time of year really gives me a different perspective than in years gone by. I find myself thinking about Mary and about how she must have felt as she carried and then gave birth to the Son of God...what a wonderful woman she must have been. I feel very far from being like her...but she is one of those women who I would like to know more about and be more like...just a few thoughts that are swimming around inside my mind right now!

I've got a quick little thank you to share...I've got a list of people that are being so kind and giving to me right now...meals being brought to our home, playdates for my girls...so I can rest and rock my new babe...I've got angelic friends.
This will be one of the cards that finds it's way to some dear angel friend's hands...just a simple and heartfelt thank you. I used some fun new Crate Paper and American Crafts stamps...fun, fun, fun.

I pray your holiday season will be filled with joy and peace. Yea for online shopping and not needing to leave my house!! The packages are arriving at my door...love that!! I'll be back tomorrow...see you soon!!
