Good morning friends! Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a good week. It's been a lot of fun for me, filled with baseball, a muscial, physical therapy(for lucy), a piano recital...oh, and a jump-a-thon! It's so fun to see my kids getting involved in activites and watching how they interact with other kids/adults...fun to see them grow into great little people! **Before I forget, because I will forget, I just posted a load of SU stuff for sale on my Boutique page, you can find the link
here. I've got too much...got to thin out my stash! So please, take a peek! I've got paper, ink, watercolor crayons, etc. so take a gander!**
Today is a fun day, and Elzybells DT challenge is here! Our challenge was to make a get well card and gift...YEA! I don't know how many times I've wished I'd had a get well card, but for some reason I don't make them very often! I had found these cute little vases at Goodwill the other day, for .50 and bought a few to have, mainly because I LOVE them and they all had fantastic shapes!! I thought a card and some flowers, with a little treat sprinkled in would be a good thing to give someone that was under the weather.
I stared out with choosing some of my favorite Elzybells stamps, the stamps are from the Tags-Floral Circles set. I love this floal circles...so handy and such a great shape! I wanted to keep the card simple and clean. I wanted to have the circles down the side, so I punched a bunch of circles and started playing to get the perfect look!
I used some SU paper, I think it is from the Sweet Pea pack, and it helped me choose Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie for my colors. I stamped the flowers in each color, then mounted them on the corrdinating cardstock and then added a few other sized circles and then sprinkled in some fun buttons. My sentiment is from the same stamp set, and I used my word window punch and label punch for the sentiment's home.
For my little vase of flowers, I used my nestabilites Bloom and Daliah flowers to cut some different sized flowers, mounted them together, added a wire stem and then added some felt flowers to the top for a great little umph. I used Sugar Babies candy to fill the vase with and had a blast from my past trying a couple of them...they are so good!! I tied it all up with a great wired orange ribbon and there you have it!: I think I'll make a couple more sets of flowers for some friends I'm going to visit this week!!
Thanks a bundle for stopping by! I appreciate your visits and thoughts!! Hope you have a great one!!
