I don't know if any of you ever take about a 6 week break from your ink and rubber, but when ever I have, it takes me a little bit of time to get back "into" the creating mindset. Any of you have that happen?! Well, one of my favorite places to lurk is my girlfriends' blog-KWernerDesigns. We have a fun "getting to know you story"...we met at a SU regional in SLC right before I moved to Germany, and we had SUCH a great time together!! Love her to pieces!! Anyway, as you all know (because she is SO famous right now!!), she has "it". I was going through my inbox and came across her latest color challenge, and thought I'd play along!
So, here is the first of my offerings. I the stripe paper is an SEI print that I love! Did you know that there is an SEI outlet in Logan, Utah!? Hello!! Yes, I know they are based there, but I've known that forever and just learned about the outlet while I was in Utah this summer!! I had so much fun!!! So, I cut all pieces 1/4" smaller than the previous layer, and then added a strip of basic gray ribbon. The flowers and brads are both American Crafts and were attached with a dimensional...and the rub-on is from SU! I love rub-ons! Don't you love rub-ons!?
Ok and for my next offering, because I had all those scraps on my desk...I had to do something with them! But instead of the bright pink for my 4th color, I chose to throw in a bit of Kiwi!! I'm really loving the new InColors from Stampin' Up! this year! I always do, but man...LOVE these colors! So, on this card, I used one of my favorite things from the new catalog--the scallop punch! I know, I've had scallops for a while, but this punch ROCKS! It keeps my lines straight...who could ask for more!! I also picked up a couple of new flower punches from EK success...the baby flower was used for the flowers down the left side of the card, and the mommy flower was used for the kiwi flower in the lower right corner. I love the thickers from American Crafts...super fun! And yes, I stocked up on more of them while I was in the states!!
So, hi to all of you that are reading this! I'm back...back to the life of a blogger...hope you'll stop by and say hey! Thanks for being patient and for all your kindess...isn't it wonderful that such a wonderful hobby brings so many people together and helps us have friends all over this wonderful world!!?? Thanks to all you friends!!
Have you seen the new Stampin' Up! catalog!? If not, you can download it from the photo on the right. I've got some new things I can't wait to play with! And of course, I'm working on my new catalog "wish-list"....you know how that goes! I'm also awaiting my new Lizzie Anne Designs stamps...I've got so much fun just waiting for me...I sometimes wish dishes would wash themselves and dust would just go away with a snap of my fingers!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! It's great to be back!
