Yankee Doodle!

Hello friends. I fee like I just keep running a bit further behind than I'd like to this week, I'm sure it has roots due to the long weekend that messed up my schedule! I can't get the day of the week straight to save my life!:) But the sun is shining today!! We went to the school to have a picnic with my son and the sun was out...and my girls loved being at lunch with their brother...it's a good day!!

I wante to share a couple samples of a fun new LAD single, his name, Yankee Doodle! Isn't he fun!? I'm sure there will be a few more of him around....with the 4th of July just around the corner!!
I wanted to keep with the red/white/blue, and just colored him in with copics. I used my star punches to make the background. My star punches were so happy to get so much face time...it's been a while since they got to play! I also used the sketch from LAD this week for this top card. You can see the sketch here.

For this second card, the blue stars are actually cut out of the white card, then I just attached a blue layer under the front flap--and the red stars are added to the card, making a couple fun textures.
Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out the garage sale items on my boutique page!! Make it great!
