I saw some flowers that I really loved today, I've got this great set of vases in my kitchen window and I thought these white flowers would look perfect for the summer! However, I looked at their price tag and per stem they were WAY too much! So, I looked and looked, and took a photo with my phone...and knew I could make something similar. So, here is what I came up with!I went to my stash of white coffee filters and started the layering! I used about 5 filters per flower. I layered them up, tucked the center in a bit and then stapled them to make them a bit smaller than a full sized filter. I added some Spring Moss cardstock circles to the center of the flowers, followed by a button. I used green wire floral stems and the really fluffed the filters. I added then to the vases...and there you have it!
Here is a closer view of them. I'm really excited about how they turned out and they look VERY similar to the flowers I saw at the store today! Doesn't it make you happy to use what you have to create something you really want!? It sure does me!! And my brain is all sorts of into this mode now.
I have to share something my son (8 in a couple of weeks) said to me yesterday. "Mom, you are so good at making things! I love it when you make things to put up in our house!!" It made my heart a bit happy and thankful that he appreciates and notices the things I do to make our house a home!!
Have a great one friends...now I'll save my Cutting Cafe post for tomorrow...stay tuned! Thanks a bundle for stopping by!! Make it great...
