Holly Jolly Christmas

Good morning friends! I hope your week is going well...with all the preperations for the upcoming holiday! We've got shopping lists and recipes out....the perfect meal is in store! There is still snow on the ground, a fire in the fireplace...all is well!!

I wanted to share another Christmas card...SUPER easy to produce and a lot of bang for your buck. The stamps are from the Holiday Button Bits stamp set from PTI. I am loving these great holly leaves! And the sentiment is another holiday favorite....love it!!
I started with a ripe avacado card. I stamped my holly with ripe avacado ink onto spring moss cardstock, and then also added my sentiment with the same ink. I used my apron lace border punch on some rapsberry fizz paper and then added it to my card. I added a chocolate chip strip of paper and then tied a raspberry fizz ribbon around. I added my spring moss layer to my card and then moved onto to picking the buttons. I added a bit of pink tule just under my perfect raspberry fizz buttons...a fun little extra detail!

I think I'll get a few more of these made, I know it's not a traditional color scheme for Christmas, but it is one that I love!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make it a great one!!

Silent Night....

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We've had a wonderful one...we had a bunch of family at my parent's house last night for Suday dinner and it started snowing!! My kids were so excited! It is still snowing...and a prefect lead into a Holiday week!! We've been having a really great time with cousins and family...such a wonderful blessing to have a wonderful family!!

I wanted to share a fun card with you. I think it is one of my favorite Christmas cards to date. I love Christmas cards that are about Christ and His birth...the whole meaning of why we have this wonderful holiday time!! The stamp is one from the new LAD December Monthly Mix. I love this image!! Around the snow globe it says, "Silent Night, Holy Night all is calm all is bright, sleep in heavenly peace." Love, Love, Love!
I started my card with an olive card. Oh, I used the TESC 91 for my inspiration for the layout of this one. I used three different patterned papers, all from SU. I tied the ribbon round, a May Arts polka dot organdy ribbon and 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain. I stamped my snow globe image with black palette ink, then colored it in with copic markers. I used my circle nestabilites to cut the globe and the olive circles. I used some polar white flower soft to add some freshly fallen snow to my little church scene...and am so happy with the result!

My mom just decided she'd like to order a few....so that will be a fun thing to work on when I get home. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make it a great one!!

Thank You Box

Hello friends!! Happy Saturday to you! I'm glad to have a few mintues to share...we are at my parents house and having a wonderful time. My niece's wedding was awesome and we're really loving the time spent with family! We had an exciting time getting here...we were stuck in bad snow for a while, had to turn around and go home, then wait until the snow was under control! We were happy to find clear roads, thank goodness for road cameras!! We made it here, safe and with bare pavement....what a blessing!

I wanted to share a little fun box I made with my Crafters' Companion. I had a great time reviewing this product, you can read the full review and what the other DT thought about the product here, on SCS.
It was SUPER quick and easy. All you have to do is decide on what paper you want, and use the same size squares. I love that the "Companion" takes all the guess work and figuring where to make the score lines and such. It is a great product.

I used some beautiful Making Memories glittered paper for the top of the box. It is from an an autumn paper pack. The ribbon is Aqua Mist from PTI. I used the bowmaker on the companon to tie the bow, I'm excited to get more use of that bow maker! The bottom of the box is a piece of SU Really Rust. The sentiment is from PTI and stamped with Really Rust ink. I used my large oval scalloped oval and wide oval punches to make a home for my "thank you" and then mounted it with dimensionals.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back Monday and will have more fun to post next week! Make it a wonderful one!!

Happy Birthday Butterfly

Good morning friends! I hope you've having a great day! We're in the car for most of the day today...fun, fun, fun! Here's to hoping all goes well!!

I wanted to share this butterfly card that I made with my Crafters' Companion...for the product focus review on SCS. It was much less effort than I thought it would be...so I think there will be more of these to come! This is the insdie of the card and the lower photo is the front of the card. The colors of this card were inspired by the American Crafts paper...it's delicious! I'm excited to get more use of these great patterned papers! I used PTI stamps and a MS crown border punch...the butterfly punch on the outside is MS too.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a great one!!

Mojo Sketch 113

Good morning friends! Happy Wednesday! I'm getting us all ready to have a great weekend...packing suitcases and finishing up laundry. My niece is getting married on Friday and we're so excited to be able to get together with my family!! We'll also be able to spend a few days with my husband's family...YEA!! There aren't many things better than being with your family during the holidays, don't you agree!?

This morning I'd like to share my take on MOJO113. I love getting this little jump start of creative juice every Monday morning! I'm sharing some fun new stamps from the LAD December Mix too...fun!!
My card is a real red card base. I mounted a layer of chocolate chip dsp and then laid a flat 5/8" chocolate chip ribbon across the mid-ish...of the card. My olive dsp is from The Write Stuff paper set from SU. I stamped my "ornaments" with chocolate chip ink...they are really a flower...but work as a hanging ornament too, don't you think!? I punched some olive and red dsp and with my 1" punch and added them to my ornaments. I stamped a snowflake, also from the mix, with olive and red inks and then colored in the little circles with my SU makers. I used my 3/4" punch to get just the center of the snowflake, and make a fun little ornament!

My sentiment is from the Love and Joy Labels stamp set. I just colored in the sentiment with my chocolate chip marker, omitting the border that is part of the stamp, allowing me to punch it out with a circle punch. I then stamped it again, in red ink, and then used my 1/4" circle punch to punch out the little red flower, and attached it to the sentiment with a mini glue dot. I mounted my sentiment on a real red circle scallop punch.

I'm excited about these new stamps...hope you are too!! Have a great day!! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make it great and take care!!

Happy Winter

Happy Winter friends! Walking my son to school today brought my mind to knowing that yes, WINTER is here! It's cold and brisk outside and for now, we've got a quick break in the rain...so here's to happy winter thoughts! And speaking of winter, because we'll be out of town for a few days for my niece's wedding, we put up our Christmas tree! We just thought we'd get a jump start...on enjoying the Christmas season while in our home. So, with that, here's a little happy winter offering!

This cute little birdie is a cute new stamp from the December Monthly Mix from Lizzie Anne Designs. It's a super fun mix of stamps that are sure to get your juices flowing!! If you have any desire on these stamps, I'd recommend signing up for the Monthly Mix kits, there are some great benefits to signing up for the monthly kit. I also used the LAD sketch of the week for the inspiration for the layout of my card, you can find the sketch here.

Hope you have a great day today!! Bundle up and keep warm!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Just For You

Happy Friday friends....where in the world did this week go!? I think this week has passed faster than any week on record in my life! I can't even believe that it's already the weekend again! Wow, how time flies!! We've been enjoying fantastic weather today...sunshine and 45 degrees outside! Perfect fall weather!

I made this card a few weeks ago and wanted to share it before it goes on it's merry way! I had a fun time with my red glitter and double sided sticky sheets!! I believe that this sketch was actually from the PPA challenge a few weeks ago...but I didn't get it uploaded in time to play along, but thought it was a fun sketch to work with!
The paper is from KI Memories, one of my fun Amy Butler patterns. I mounted the patterned paper on Bashful Blue cardstock and put them on a vanilla card. I used my SU butterfly die and my Big Shot to make the fun butterflies...love the glittered effect! I used a double sided sticky sheet, so the glitter isn't going to go anywhere! I used a few MS rhinestones for the body of my butterfly. My ribbon is 5/8" grosgrain and tied up with a vanilla button and a bit of embossing floss. My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I stamped it in Old Olive ink and punched out with my word window punch. I mounted it on a modern label punch that had been punched from the patterned paper. Another little rhinestone made a perfect little detail.

Hope you have a great weekend friends!! Thanks so much for stopping by! I've had some new names coming into the comments sections and I appreciate it so much!! I love hearing what you have to say! Make it a great one!!

Deck the Halls

Happy Monday morning friends! I hope you had a good weekend. We had a great one...a couple of highlights were seeing "This is it" and my husband took the kids to the club to go swimming for a few hours saturday and they were just in heaven (and yes, it was great to have a few quiet hours on a saturday!). I had a bit of time to work on my stash of Holiday cards and wanted to share one of them with you today.

I used the Holiday Button Bits stamp set from PTI for the hanging ornaments. I have fallen hook line and sinker, in love with this set...so many great images to work with! I also used some great vintage buttons...I love that they have a little shimmer to them and look like fancy ornaments!
To start my card, I used a Spring Moss cardbase. I ran a strip of Ocean Tides cardstock through my fiskars border punch for a nice classy border. Next, I stamped Giga Guidelines with Ripe Avacado Ink onto Ripe Avacado paper. I attached that just above the Ocean Tides border and then tied a nice bow with some Ocean Tides ribbon. I am 100% the biggest fan of the Ocean Tides color...one of my all time favroite shades of blue/green!! I stamped my sentiment with Ripe Avacado and then moved onto the ornaments. I stamped my ornaments onto white cardstock with Ripe Avacado ink and then added Ocean Tides vintage buttons with mini glue dots.

I love the clean and simple classy look of this one...a good one to reproduce! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Make it a great one!!

Merry Christmas

Good morning firends! Happy Friday to ya'll! I hope you've had a good week. My week was a bit "more" than normal, but was good. I had a fun morning this morning...I was the sub for the Turbo Kick class that I attend...oh it was fun! Thanks to all my class members who helped me have a great time, even though I'm not a pro...by any means! But it was great fun!

Today I'd like to share another card, in the same family as the from yesterday's post. I LOVE this paper from Cosco Cricket and think it rocks with the style of the fun Deck the Halls Stamp set from LAD. I think this set will make up a larger portion of my Holiday card mix!! I love the fresh and hip style!! And paired with these great colors...so much fun!
I started with a Ripe Avacado card base. Next I put some chocolate chip cardstock through my wide scallop border punch and then added it to my card. I added a layer of polka dot paper from Cosmo Cricket and then added my Ripe Avacado ribbon. I stamped my gifts in Ripe Avacado, Ruby Red and Aqua Mist ink, then mounted that vanilla cardstock onto a ripe avacado piece. I used a little dew drop to add a fun little "somethin'" to each of the gifts. I love that dew drops take on the color they are placed upon, so you don't need to have every color...just a few will do!
My sentiment was stamped on vanilla cardstock and then punched out with my word window punch and mounted on a chocolate chip modern label. I attached my sentiment to the card with dimensionals.

Hope you have a great weekend! I'm so excited...we're going to see "This is It!" tonight....yea!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Deck the Halls!

Good afternoon friends! I hope you are doing well today. We've had a fast moving day, and with it getting dark so early, here in the northwest....well, I feel like we should be getting into pjs and it's only 3:57! So, here's to a few more productive hours!!

This card I'm sharing today, was the card I made for the LAD sketch challenge last week, and thought I'd posted it already, but nope, it wasn't even photographed yet. So, here is my take on the sketch you can see here,in the LAD forum. I think this might be a card I make a few more of...it makes me smile!
I started off by making my card base. I used some Chocolate Chip cardstock, then a layer of Aqua Mist, and lastly a layer of a great polka dot paper from Cosmo Cricket. I stamped my ornaments from the Deck the Halls stamp set, onto Very Vanilla paper with some Ruby Red, Aqua Mist and Ripe Avacado ink. I stamped the ornaments twice, one onto the rectangle of paper, and then again on a scrap piece. I stamped my ornament hanger--or ribbon, with Chocolate Chip ink, and then added the second ornament that I had cut out, with dimensionals.
A little vintage button on each ornament with mini glue dot finihsed the ornaments up just right!

I stamped my sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink onto Vanilla paper. I used my word window punch to punch the 'Deck the Halls' out, then attached it to a Ruby Red modern label punch.

This went so fast and would be a great card to mass produce....so I think I'll bust out a few more!! Have a great evening friends!! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Flower Soft

Good morning friends! Today is a fun day for the Splitcoast Product Review Team, we've had the chance to play with some fun products by Flowersoft! We were reviewing the CD with images that they sent, and while I'm more of stamps and paper person, I did have fun working with these images! If you'd like to take a peek at the review, you can check it out here.

For this first card, I printed out one of the "stacking" images and stacked it for a fun 3-d image. I stacked them with dimensionals and then added some polar white flowersoft, with a bit of glue. I added a bit of loose "snow" and then attached my globe to my image. I attached my snow globe to my card and then went to town on the front panel. I kept things simple, just added a nice New Leaf piece of cardstock and then added a few new leaf snowflakes, just to keep them more subtle. I added some dew drops to the center of the snowflakes with some zip glue. My last part was attaching my sentiment to the card. Because this was a printed image, I simply cut it out and then mounted it, with double layerd dimensionals for a bit more lift. My kids LOVE this card...the snowglobe is SO fun for them!!
For this next card, I printed another 3-d image. I had several pieces that were stacked again, but this time making a great little scene. Each layer of this main panel is also raised with dimensionals. I added some flower soft, and added the image to my card. My card is a black base with a New Leaf layer. I added a white strip of apron lace to the bottom of the card, and then a New Leaf ribbon and white button. My sentiment is another printed image, and was attached with dimensionals also.

This review was great. It stretched my ability and took me out of my comfort zone, but I'm happy with my products and that is exciting! If you'd like to read more of the reveiw, the team has some great things to say! There are some great samples in the gallery too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! My family is all well today, everyone is going to school, ballet and such...YEA for that!! We'll do our best to stay that way now! Good luck to staying well! Make it a great one!!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Monday morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We sure did...but my daughter is still sick with a fever...thank goodness for Ibuprofen and Tylenol! I'm hoping to get her into the dr. today...she just has a fever and nothing else...I hope!

I made this card a few weeks ago and wanted to share it before it goes it's merry way! It was a fun one to create. I've been enjoying the fun of making my own flowers...die cuts and punches are such great tools! Anyway, onto the jist!
I started my card with some whisper white cardstock. I mounted a piece of pumpkin pie and then a piece of pink passion cardstock onto the card. I ran my pink passion piece through the Big Shot with my swiss dots embossing folder before attaching it to my card. Next I took a strip of black cardstock and it took a turn through my large scallop and was then attached to my card. I stamped my sentiment, which is from PTI's Papertrey stamp set..the very 1st set released! I stamped each word seperately...with black palette ink. I tied some ribbon, from SEI around the seam and then moved onto my flowers.

For my flowers, I had an old book that I tore a page out of and used with my Blossom Nestabilities dies! My daughter had a hard time seeing me tear a page out of a book, I assured here, she isn't allowed to tear pages out of books! I nested the blossoms and then added a little center detail, from heidi swapp.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Monday! I'm hoping today proves to help my daughter feel better...no more fever!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make it a great one!
