Birthday Wishes

Good Morning friends! I hope you are all doing well! I have to say that today is already better than yesterday! My baby had a bad cough night before last and couldn't sleep well...which means that I didn't sleep well either! We took her to the dr. and learned that she has croup and an ear infection! So, she is now on some medicine that will make her feel better...and hopefully we'll all start sleeping well again!

I wanted to share a fun card with you. I made this card for Savitri's daughter's sketch challenge. I missed getting it posed on time, but with a sick baby, everything got pushed back a bit! So, I'll share it with you anyway! I also made this tissue flower, thanks the great tutorial Mona did on the JUGS blog, this is for their 4th challenge, using a 3-d flower on your card! So, here goes the deets!
I told you the UPS man brought me some PTI products right? Well, the Giga Guidelines are to die for!! I love them...oh, yum! I used them to stamp the background paper on the card--New Leaf ink onto New Leaf cardstock. I mounted that layer onto an Aqua Mist card. I used my eyelet border punch on a strip of Aqua Mist cardstock and then attached it to my card. My Aqua Mist grosgrain ribbon came to the party next. I used a strip of sticky strip to make the ribbon lay perfectly flat and straight...no coming off on the edges allowed!

My sentiment is from Giga Guidelines as well. Isn't it so lovely!? This whole set is just the most delightful eye candy ever! I stamped it in New Leaf ink onto Aqua Mist cardstock. I then mounted it on New Leaf cardstock and added it to my card.

I made my flower by using my brayer, Aqua Mist ink, a sheet of tissue paper, and my Blossom Nestabilies. Love these flowers...sorry, you will be seeing many more of them...they are just so dainty and soft looking...so pretty! I used a New Leaf vintage button and a clear rhinestone for the center of my flower and used some Zip glue to attach it to my card. Have you used Zip glue yet? I purchased mine from Scor-Pal, and love it! It is a liquid glue, dies FAST, doesn't wrinkle thee paper and is an awesome adhesive choice! Just an FYI!

Hope you have a great one today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
