Good morning again friends!! I hope you are doing well! I am happy to be sharing the new Retro Sketch fro this week! The sketch is based on a card of mine, here!
Here is the new sketch for the week,
And here is my new card! I REALLY want to grow my water color skills! So, I decided that I need to get my water color brushes and paints out more!! I love that there are so many different ways to learn how to be better!! And thankfully, water color is forgiving!!;)
I started with some Tim Holtz water color paper. I stamped the Sweet Pea floral image from PTI with versamark and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I pulled out my distress ink, smooshed them onto my craft mat and went to town. I started with spun sugar, and then added some picked raspberry for the petals. For the leaves I used crushed olive. I used some tumbled glass to add a bit of pop...and I have to say I was happy with my attempt for today!! I have a couple of other practice trys that I made cards from as well, and I will share those also! I used a stencil and tumbled glass ink for my polkas. My little strip of pink was cut with a Paper Smooches border. I stamped the sentiment and then smooshed it over some silver thread. I added a few rhinestones!! They have taken a back seat to the sequins in my life, and oh, I have missed them!!
I hope you have a great weekend!! I hope the sun shines on you, where ever you may be!! Take care and I'll see you next week!!
I can't wait to see what you come up with for the Retro Sketch!
