My Turn for the Sketch

Today I took a turn and posted the weekly sketch for the LAD weekly sketch challenge. Yes, I was am a little out of my comfort zone--but I am happy to report that I did it--all by myself! So, here is the sketch for the week.
And here is my card that I made using the sketch. It was a super quick one and could be a great layout to fall back to!

My card started with a pink passion base. I printed some of the polka-dot digital papers to use for the background paper. This new release was the first time I've tried digital paper-and it's VERY fun! I put a layer of polka-dot paper down on my card first, then gave added the chocolate chip strip at the bottom and tangerine tango strip at the top. I ran some chocolate chip cardstock through my eyelet border punch...love that new toy...and added it to my card.

I stamped my flower image, which is from the Garden Inspirations stamp set that was just released, in tangerine tango ink on whisper white cardstock. I layered my flower on tangerine tango paper and attached it to my card.

My "thank you" sentiment is from the Everyday Sayings stamp set, also a new release. I stamped "thank you" with chocolate chip ink onto whisper white cardstock and punched it out using my small oval punch. I layered it on a tangerine large oval and then on a chocoalte chip scallop oval. I added it to my card with dimensionals.

I hope that you have a chance to play along with the design team and try this sketch! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great one!

Sneek Peek Day 3

Good Morning! I hope you are all doing well! Today is the last day of the Lizzie Anne Designs sneek peeks--tomorrow you can put each and every set into your cart...fun, fun, fun! You'll want to stop by the LAD blog to see the other sets being released and then to catch some of the design team work...a lot of fun ideas floating around out there!

I apologize for the quality of the photo--it's a dark soon to be rainy day and I'm not on my personal computer--so thanks for being patient! It will be so wonderful to get ourselfs "put back together..." moving is quite a challenge, isn't it!? But we're having a wonderful time visiting, so all is good!

The stamp set I'm featuring today is called Sweet Treats. It is full of fantastic sweet images and sentiments! I chose to make an icecream cone today--with the inspiration coming from my patterned paper. My paper is another thing that will be avaliable tomorrow, LAD is releasing some digital paper! Oh my word! It's been fun to print these little beauties and have them coordinate with my stamps...love it! They are super resasonable in price and will be on your computer...so you can print them any time you need them! Stay tuned for more of those samples.

I started my card with a Tangerine Tango base. Next in line, So Saffron, and my Sweet Treats Polka-Dot paper. I used my new Eyelet Border punch for a little tangerine lace strip and then added my So Saffron ribbon.

I think you know how much I love this ribbon?! I tied it into a bow-leaving a longer tail on one side and then leaving it connected to the spool, I wrapped it around my panel and determinded how much ribbon I needed to go under the bow, then cut the ribbon and secured it to my card with adhesive. I secured the bow to the card with a few glue dots.

My ice-cream cone was stamped in Tangerine Tango ink onto white cardstock first, then stamped the cone again on So Saffron paper-and then cut the Saffron cone out and attached it to the white cardstock. I stamped my first ice-cream scoop with So Saffron ink--using my STAMJ to get perfect placement. Then I stamped another ice-cream scoop with Tangerine Tango on white cardstock and then cut it out and layered it over the saffron scoop for a little dimension. I layered my ice-cream cone on some So Saffron paper and attache it to my card.

Keeping with the Polka Dots on my paper, I punched some Baja Breeze circles for some added interest. I used the 3/4" circle punch for the top dot, and then added a little vanilla button from my button latte set. The other two dots were punched with my 1" circle punch.

The sentiment "I'm sweet on you" was stamped in Tangerine Tango ink and punched out with my small oval punch. My large oval punch made the So Saffron oval and my new Scalloped Oval punch made the Tangerine Tango scallop for my sweet sentiment! I attached my sentimnet with dimensionals for a bit of a lift!:)

I hope that you enjoy these new stamps as much as I am! This little Sweet Treats set is sure to get a lot of face time! My daughter loves it already! Have a great day friends and thanks for stopping by!

Sneek Peek #2

Day #2 of Lizzie Anne Sneek Peeks! Today be sure to get over to the LAD blog to check out the fun new stamps that are coming! They are really fun! I'm sharing one from the Everyday Sayings set. I love having a good choice of sentiments--and this set is great! I paired the sentiment up with the flower from Garden Inspirations.
My card started with my flower image. I stamped it with pumpkin pie ink and then cut it out. I decided I wanted to add a bit of glitter...and a chocolate chip center. I punched the center of my flower out with my 3/4" circle punch and then added a little strip of 2-way glue around the opening and added my glitter(from the supernova glitter pack). For the chocolate chip center I just added a piece of chocolate chip paper to the back of the flower.

For my card construction, I started with a pumpkin pie card. I love to have the paper cut 4 1/4"--in half the long way--and have the fold along side the left side, instead of at the top...it's been a favorite as of late! I started the layers with some sweet always dsp, a strip of whisper white cardstock, then a strip of chocolate chip that was scalloped with the scallop edge punch. After I had those all together, I added my regal rose ribbon.

My sentiment was stamped in chocolate chip ink in the bottom right corner. And the finishing touch for this card was adding my flower with dimensionals.

There are several fun samples to browse today! Be sure to check out the LAD blog and see the other design teams samples for these fun stamps!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!

Sneek Peek!

Hey All! I hope you are all doing well! I'm so happy...the weather is SO fantastic! 78 degrees...love it!! With weather like this, everything is better, isn't it?!

So, today is a fun day for Lizzie Anne Designs! Today starts the sneek peek schedule for their new spring release on the 25th(saturday). The set I've used on this card is called Garden Inspirations. It's a great floral set! I don't think one can have enough flower stamps...do you!?

I started with a tangerine tango card, and was really excited that this funky paper, made by the paper studio, matched it perfect! I cut a strip of chocolate chip cardstock to mount my patterned paper on, then layered a little ww scallop edge. I stamped my sentiment with chocolate chip ink...it's a little hard to read in the photo...sorry! The sentiment says, "so very glad you're my friend," isn't that a great one!?

For my main image. I stamped my flower in chcoclate chip onto ww cardstock. I used my 3/4" circle punch to punch out the middle of my flower--and then put a piece of chocoalte chip cardstock behind the flower-so you see just the chocolate chip paper. I then used a 3/4" sticky circle and covered it with my supernova chocolate glitter...it is so pretty! I used my nestabilities and a couple of trips through the Big Shot, to cut the flower and sage scallop circle.

I hope you stop and check out the LAD blog to catch a peek at some of the other sets they are showing today! It's a great release...super exciting!

I'll be back tomorrow with another fun sneek peek!:) Have a great one and thanks so much for stopping by!!

It's been a while!

Hello friends! I can't believe how fast my time is going by!! We're still in quite of a crazy state of living...so my posts have been following along! The kids and I are in Utah at my parents house--it's been wonderful to have a little more "space" than our little tiny appartment! It's also been really wonderful to reconnect with cousins and a bunch of our family!

We drove to Utah, so I was able to bring "the heaviest suitcase" my husband has ever lifted full of stampin' supplies! I'm doing a class at my sister's house, so I brought a bunch of stuff to work with and work on! My photos aren't quite like they should be, but they get the point across!:)

This card was my take on the Mojo Monday sketch this week, which was #83. I used my Cheep Talk stamp set, stamp-a-ma-jig and some great colors! Pink Pasison, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White!

I started with stamping my branch in kiwi kiss ink on my whisper white cardstock. I added my little bird with pumpkin pie ink and placed it perfectly with my stamp-a-ma-jig! I also used my samj to place my sentiment in the perfect spot too!! It was also added with pumpkin pie ink. I just got some of these great flower brads..so I wanted to get them started! I used my crop-a-dile to punch a little hole in the branch for my pumpkin pie flower brad. I layered my image on a layer of pumpkin pie paper.

I got a piece of ww carstock, layerd some kiwi kiss dsp, scalloped some pumpkin pie paper and added it to my card. I added another little strip of kiwi dsp to my scallop-and then tied it all up with some of my new white satin ribbon, and then added my little birdie image.

For the little flower emblishment, I stamped my flower (also from the cheep talk set) in pink passion ink and punched it out with my 1" circle punch. The pumpkin pie circle was punch with my 1 1/4" punch, the kiwi with my 1 3/8" punch and then the pink pasion with my scallop circle punch.

It feels good to be creating again...I've missed it so much the past few crazy weeks! I know I'll have many more crazy weeks ahead...so thanks for being patient and for all of your support! I appreciate you well wishes so much!!

I'll be back tomorrow...for the start of the Lizzie Anne Designs Sneek Peeks!! The 25th is the official release date for their new stamps...fun, fun, fun!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great one!:)

Mojo Monday

Hello All! I'm happy to be able to share with you today! I've really missed my stampin' time and have had a great day today-creating! I decided that since my supplies are very limited still, I wanted to start with a sketch...so I thought the Mojo Monday sketch was a good place to start! I know the lighting is a bit off...but we're having really rainy/gray, typical Seattle spring weather and our appartment has TERRIBLE lighting! So, you'll have to bear with me for a few more weeks! I'll do my best!
I started with a WW card. I used my scallop edge punch on the bottom of the card base and then used it again on my Kiwi polka dot paper. This delicous paper is part of the Bella dsp pack from SU. I tied a regal rose ribbon round teh belly of the card...yes, I love that 5/8" ribbon! It is so perfect!

I stamped the tree in with Kiwi Kiss ink, onto WW ink. I then punched out three little blossoms with my Trio Blossom punch. I used a little regal rose paper for the blossoms. Then I used my rose red brads to add a fun little center to the blooms. I mounted my tree on some regal rose c/s and then again on kiwi kiss cardstock.

I mounted my tree on a square of rose red textured cardstock--using dimensionals to attach it. My little sentiment is from the level 1 hostess set, sweet little sentiments. jI stamped it with kiwi ink and then used my word window punch to punch it out.

I think this is a fun sketch that I can go back to over and over. I'm hoping that I'll get to share more this week...still trying to get ourselves used to being in the states...it's great. But my heart is still sad about leaving Germany...but time does help that doesn't it!?

Thanks for stopping by friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Hello!

Wow, moving across the world...whew! We did it, again. We had such a great time living in Germany, and it went WAY faster than I wanted it to go. I am happy to be back in Seattle, but I really am already missing my dear friends I left behind. Isn't it such a blessing to make and find wonderful kindred spirits?! I appreciate so much the wonderful time I was able to share with all my dear ones in Unterschleissheim!

I just wanted to pop in quick and say hello! We've had a crazy week! We arrived in Seattle Saturday night...and have been doing our best to adjust to the 9 hour time change (killer!) and getting used to being here again! Our computer access has been very limited...but we think everything has been worked out...I'll keep my fingers crossed!

We had a fun surprise today, our shipment that we sent a week before we moved, our "air shipment" came today! So, that means I have stamps and such to play with! I'm hoping to be able to share soon...Monday for sure! I laughed as the packing company was opening boxes this morning. My son was keeping watch for his bins of toys that he's been missing for over 2 weeks, and he kept saying, "those are mom's toys, where are mine!?", "more of mom's toys"...he's excited for me to have something to "play" with. Such a sweet little guy!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! It seems so strange to be back here...but it is great too. I'm looking forward to many more wonderful days....be back soon!

Hello There!

Hello there Friends! I hope you're having a great week! We've been busy, busy, busy...and our house is full of boxes! They finished packing up this afternoon, so tomorrow is a few items outside and then the loading of the huge sea container that will come across the ocean! Yep, it's offical, we're moving! Tomorrow is the last day of class for my kids and saying goodbye to all the people we love at the school...I've been dreading this day....but knew it would come...

So, on to some exciting news!! The Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini is avaliable online now! If you'd like to download it, you can click on the photo of it in the right hand sidebar. Or if you're like me and would like to hold one in your hands, drop me an email and I'll get one in the mail!:) (Mine is paitiently waiting at our temporary house for me...yea!!!) You'll LOVE the products in this mini...I can't wait to finish my order...very soon you'll see what I mean!

Speaking of new things, I was so excited to receive my new Circle Scissor Plus...from Stampin' Up! last week...can you say DELIGHT?! (Can we just call it the CSP from now on?!) Of course, I had lots of circles to cut...and am very excited to get to use this awesome tool more! It is really a fun one!

I love this "Cheep Talk" set from SU, also...the birds are just too fun!! I'm a bit stuck on Pink Passion...isn't it a great color!? My colors today, Pink Passion, Old Olive, and So Saffron.

I actually started this card with cutting some circles. I was just trying out my new CSP, and had several different circles on my desk. I wanted to use this little bird, so I stamped the branch with Old Olive and added the birdie with Pink Passion and So Saffron stampin' wite markers. **You can bird the bird exactly where you want her if you use your stamp-a-ma-jig!! Use it! It is your friend!**I just noticed that my birdie's tail looks kind of crazy...it's been glitified with some pink glitter--from my glitter pack! It looks beautiful in real life.

For the flowers on my branch, I used my 3 flower and 1/4" circle punches. I added the flowers with mini glue dots and then added their centers with mini glue dots too.**I LOVE mini glue dots!!* I made a few extra to add to my sentiment too!

I made my card base from Pink Passion. The first layer is a beautiful Saffron pattern from the Washington Apple dsp set. My next layer,is a large Old Olive Circle. The next circle is Pink Passion, and then Whisper White. I added some "faux" Pink Passion brads (just punched from my 1/4" circle punch)to each corner. **1/4" circles are perfect sizes for brads and if you use your punch, you can have any color you want!:)**

My sentiment was inked in Pink Passion ink, then punched out with my 1 1/4" circle punch. I layered it on a 1 3/8" circle punch of Pink Passion. The last piece I added to my card was the So Saffron circle frame that I made with my CSP! It was such a snap...I really am excited to get to play more with that!!

I had a question from Rose about my nestabilities. I have several shapes, and have the regular shapes, as well as the scallops. I have lare and small sizes of rectangles, ovals, circle, and squares. Many of them do work well with SU punches...and they are wonderful! If you have any further questions Rose, let me know!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have a great day!! See you soon!:)
