Thinking of You!

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you're having a great day today...to those of you across the water, Happy New Year! I have very fond memories of our New Years celebrating in Germany and Italy...so much going on! Our first New Year's Eve was very surprising. We were playing games and really enjoying our little party, then New Year came and all the sudden it looked as though we were 12:00 noon, SO many fireworks! I was amazed at how long our neighborhood went with the fireworks! It was easily 2:00 am before they started to end the fun. It was GREAT fun, and I was happy my little people slept through it! While we won't be having a HUGE light show this year, we will be ringing in the New Year with friends...we're looking forward to it!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We really enjoyed ourselves, and are thankful for the blessings we have been given! I'm so thankful for that Silent Night so many years ago...thankful for the Gift that God gave each of us...even Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reason to rejoice!

So, onto today's card! I wanted a few "winter" cards, not Christmas cards, but more winterish..and here is one of the few I came up with. This tree image is from The Way Up North stamp set from LAD. It's got some fun images for a more "winter" feel, not so much holiday. The sentiment is from the In The Treetop stamp set.
My card is Taken with Teal and the patterned paper I used is an old retired SU set. I thought these colors were perfect for the feel I wanted my card to have! I stamped my trees on white cardstock with Taken with Teal ink and then mounted them onto a teal layer of cs. I used some flower soft on them to make them "flocked" and then set that panel aside to construct the rest of the card.

I used my EK wide scallop border punch and some white cardstock for my scalloped border. i layred my patterned paper over the white border and then tied it up with some white satin ribbon. I attached my tree panel with dimensionals and then moved to my sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment with teal ink and punched it out with my word window punch. I used my modern label punch and teal cs for a perfect home...then mounted it on my card.

I hope you have a great day today and enjoy ringing in the new year with your loved ones! I wish you the best of everything in the coming year! Thanks so much for sharing a few minutes with me... appreciate it so much!! Oh, I almost forgot!! I've got some fun news to share with you all tomorrow...please stop by share in the fun!

Sooo beautiful, love the rich color on this card, yet its soft tone says 'wintermint' all the way! I love it and the snow on the trees are perfect! Wishing you and yours lots of happiness this coming year, have fun counting down the minutes tonight!
