An Apple A Day

Good morning friends! I hope you are ready for a great weekend! I'm so excited that today is finally here...one of my best friends in the world!! is coming for a "sleepover" tonight! I can't wait! Isn't it fun to have fantastic wonderful friends...I count myself very blessed in that regard!! And speaking of wonderful friends, thank so much to all of you for you sweet comments...you have made my last few days very happy! I appreciate your comments and support! Don't forget you have until tonight at 10pm (pst) to post a comment on this post to win some fun from me!

Today's card is a nice crisp fall card...is there anything worse than a mushy apple? Nope. I was thinking of how much I enjoy fall and the apples that start to come around...I can't wait! This card is a perfect September card, don't you think!?
I stamped the apple image with chocolate chip ink onto kraft paper. The apple image is actually 4 apples combined, it is part of LAD's September Mix stamp set, I used my SAMJ to line up my apples perfectly(love that tool!!). I stamped the image 4 times on my card and then stamped it on a scratch paper and colored the apple with my markers and cut it out and then attached it to my card right over the kraft apple.

I cut the bottom 1 1/2" off my card and added a chocolate chip scalloped edge, with one of my fiskars border punches. I attached the chocolate chip to my kraft card, and then tied it up with some 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.

My sentiment, which is from the Everyday Sayings stamp set, was stamped with chocolate chip ink and then punched out with my window word punch. I used some ruby red dsp and my modern label punch for the home for my sentiment. I attached the sentiment with some dimensionals!

Thanks so much for stopping by friends! Thanks for sharing your love and support with me...it is so great to have so many great friends that I haven't even met in person! I'll be back with the name of the winner of the blog candy tomorrow! Have a great one!!

It sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Have a fun visit with your friend. Your cards this past week are gorgeous. I love the apples on this. It's a perfect teacher card.

Hi Jen, I haven't comments in a while but I love reading your blog. Glad the move is over and you have settled in so well. (Secretly it is because now you have more time to post regularly hehehe!) I love the simple, clean yet special cards you make, always incorporating some special treat for the eye. My favorite card of yours was the one with the daisies all over the front (inspired be a magazine cover I believe). You can see my case of it (with credit to you) over in Stampin' Addicts gallery. Happy Labor Day weekend!

Love the art . . . black and white apples highlighted by a single colorful apple. Splendid.

Kraft cardstock is divine & I absolutely love what you did with it. Sharing time with a best friend is the cream of the crop...I did just that last week with my FBF for a total of 10 days.
