Thanks

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a great one. More boxes went to the recycle pile, and our house is "in order" for the most part--YEA! Moving just takes time...and my sweet little Ruby(16 months already!) slows my unpacking/organizing just a bit so the weekends have been a lot of work with my husband home. The cardboard is slowly coming to an end! YEA!

So, you know by now that I love this new Circle Circus stamp set right!? I've had a great time playing with it! I think it is 100% delicious! Tomorrow's post will be another new stamp set..so stay tuned!
I love this color combination, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo. Melon Mambo--what a fun name for a color! I used my Circle Circus stamps with Soft Suede and Melon Mambo to create this fun paper, then cut a layer of it and mounted it on Melon Mambo paper. **I made myself a little "graph" with a ruler and light pencil lines on my Whisper White cardstock, and just placed my stamps in the intersections of the graph...(PTI gridlines cardstock was my inspiration there) it helped me stamp in straight lines and and know just where I needed to put my next stamp.

So, I layered the pretty paper on some Melon Mambo cardstock and mounted that on my Soft Suede card. I used my hobby blade to make a little "track" for my ribbon to go through and added my beautiful Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon...YUM! I used the Thank You Kindly stamp set again for my "Thanks" sentiment. I stamped in Melon Mambo ink and the used my large oval punch to punch it out. I layered my sentiment on a Soft Suede scalloped oval and then attached it to my card.

The last details on this card were my button detail and the little Soft Suede stamp on the left side of the card. I just wanted a little "somthing" over on the left to balance the weight of the card and really liked the thought of using just part of the Suede circle...fun huh?! For the button detail, I stamped an extra Soft Suede circle, punched it out using my 3/4" circle punch and attached it to a clear button. I then layered my button over a 1" Melon Mambo circle, and there you have it!

I hope you have a great day! Today is the first official "summer" day for my kids and it gray and raining! So, here's to some fun inside playing today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
