Color Challenge

I am so excited to share this post today!! I was at my local "Kaufland"(grocery store) and as walking past the 1 Euro bin saw something that looked interesting--this felt lace! I had a little "I bet I can do something fun with that" moment, and home it came! I saw that Kristina's Color Challenge today was 100% on my brain wave...and this card was born! I am going back to Kaufland tomorrow to see if I can find any more felt!
The colors for her challenge are old olive, certainly celery, sahara sand and whisper white. LOVELY colors together. I had a lot of fun with this one!

So, the details. It started like this, I opened my new found treasure and cut it into 4 3/4" strips. I ran it through my Xyron 900 with a permant adhesive roll in it, so the entire back of the lace was covered with adhesive. That machine sure is handy for things like this!:) I cut a piece of certainly celery cardstock and mounted my felt on the celery. I then mounted that on a layer of whisper white. Then came the delicous celery grosgrain ribbon. I mounted the white layer onto old olive and then ended on a sahara sand card. The sentiment is from the All Holidays stamp set. It originally says Peace Love Joy, but I used my old olive marker to just stamp the "Peace". I then punched it out with the large oval punch and then mounted it on wide oval--punched from certainly celery. A couple of dimensionals and there you have it!

I don't think I'm going to be selling these at the Christmas market--unless I can find more felt!:) I got 9 cards from the bag...and am really hoping for another package! Thank you Kristina! I had a great time with this one!!
