Oh La La!

"That A sure looks a lot like the Eiffel Tower." That is what my husband said when he was checking out my work yesterday. I laughed and said, "That's good, it is an Eiffel Tower!" He got all excited that I had this fun set of places we've been...that leads to a lot of potential with photos huh? So, there was my funny from last night!! I just finished a fun little set of "merci" cards for my girlfriend. She moved to Germany from France last summer. As I started thinking about what I wanted to do with this particular set, I thought of the GREAT time we had in Paris as a family in June...and then I thought of my friend and how it might be fun to get her set up with some thank you cards that remind her of her time in Paris, thus "merci" cards.

The supplies were the same through the set, Blue Bayou, Kiwi Kiss, WW, Chocolate Chip cardstock, My Minds' Eye Bohemian line patterned paper, Copper Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink, Oh La La stamps from LAD, punches from Marvy Uchida, Scallop Edge Punch, and dimensionals!

This card, blue bayou for base, then a layer of chocoalte chip. I used versamark ink to stamp the little design (i totally can't think of the word for this little thing! help!?), and then sprinkled clear embossing powder and heated it, and I love the shiny effect! I think the rest is pretty self explanitory, just layers and such! I did also use Chocoalate Chip CRAFT ink on the Arc De Triumph, I stamped it, sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. I then used a blender pen to color in the Arc.
The Eiffel Tower, frame and Merci, were stamped in versamark ink then sprinkled with copper embossing powder and then heat set. I LOVED the Eiffel Tower...it is one of the favorite places I've ever been. It is SO big and beautiful!!
So, there is part one of the Oh La La thank you card set, I'll post the others tomorrow! So, since it is one of my favorite memories...here is a little bit of love from my trip to paris!

Thanks for stopping by!! Make it a great one!!

How cool to be able to take a vacation in Paris! The cards are gorgeous and I just love the photos. It's been so long since I've been to Europe. Someday I'll get back.

Bonjour! Love the Parisian influence. I realized the Arc Du Triumph almost looks like French bloomers . . . only in Paris :)

Hugs, M

P.S. I have a similar shot of my daughter next to the Eiffel Tower (about 5 years ago). Thanks for sharing.
