A Little Bird

I have had this little birdie set for a few months now...and am just getting around to it! I wanted to make a few "springish" blank cards to use when I need a quickie...a good thing to keep in the bag I take to church with me. I decided on the 3x3 size, just for quick little notes. So, here is one of the first I made. I love the little birds in the A Little Bird Told Me stamp set that is currently in the SU catalog...it's got a bunch of really fun sentiments with it as well and a larger birdie, very fun! I used Rose Red as teh base of the card. Old olive is one of my all time FAVORITE colors, and really a "go to" color...it's like chocolate chip..goes with everything! I used the polka dots from the Sweet Sampler stamp set, stamped in old olive ink. The bird was stamped in old olive on ww cardstock then cut with a circle punch from EK. I stamped the bird again on a piece of designer paper from the Summer Picnic pack (occasions mini, avaliable right now until May 31). I then just cut his body out and placed it over the top of the white birdie body. I think it adds a fun touch to have him polka doted too! I punched the scallop frame out of pumpkin pie cardstock, with the giga scallop punch from MU and put then attached the white birdie circle to it. I then went to one of my favorite things right now...felt flowers! These are from SU, and as you might have guessed, coordinate perfectly with the cardstock and ink!:) gotta love that! I stacked two flowers together, and used a brad to hold them together and attached them to my scallop flower with a mini glue dot.

So, there my friends is a quick little note card to drop in someones bag to brighten their day!:) Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
