The challenge also wanted me to make the card a square, so I went for a 4 1/4" square. I stamped the "tree trunk" in chocolate chip ink, then used certainly celery ink for the "leaves." I took my crop-a-dile and punched the 1/8" holes around the tree, and then mounted it on a piece of real red cardstock. I use my stamp-a-ma-jig for helping me with my sentiment. The stamp for the "thinking of you" is all one row, but I wanted to bring the "you" below, so I used a real red marker and s-a-m-jig for the placement of the sentiment. (If you have quesitons about that tool, shoot me a mail and I'll let you know all about it...it is one of my favorite tools!) I used the SU cutter tool to distress the edge of the ww cardstock. I mounted it on chocolate chip, then a piece of the real red paper from the level 1 hostess set in the current catalog. I mounted the tree with dimensionals onto the card. Oh, and you know how much I love the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon from stampin' up!...it adds such a nice touch!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day! Oh,one more thing I've updated the Stampin' UP! specials and such in my side bar, if you are interested in any of these specials, or bulking up on your Stampin' Up! supplies, let me know, and I'll be happy to hook you up! (I accept pay pal and credit cards...just fyi!)
