Thinking of You!

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you're having a great day today...to those of you across the water, Happy New Year! I have very fond memories of our New Years celebrating in Germany and Italy...so much going on! Our first New Year's Eve was very surprising. We were playing games and really enjoying our little party, then New Year came and all the sudden it looked as though we were 12:00 noon, SO many fireworks! I was amazed at how long our neighborhood went with the fireworks! It was easily 2:00 am before they started to end the fun. It was GREAT fun, and I was happy my little people slept through it! While we won't be having a HUGE light show this year, we will be ringing in the New Year with friends...we're looking forward to it!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We really enjoyed ourselves, and are thankful for the blessings we have been given! I'm so thankful for that Silent Night so many years ago...thankful for the Gift that God gave each of us...even Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reason to rejoice!

So, onto today's card! I wanted a few "winter" cards, not Christmas cards, but more winterish..and here is one of the few I came up with. This tree image is from The Way Up North stamp set from LAD. It's got some fun images for a more "winter" feel, not so much holiday. The sentiment is from the In The Treetop stamp set.
My card is Taken with Teal and the patterned paper I used is an old retired SU set. I thought these colors were perfect for the feel I wanted my card to have! I stamped my trees on white cardstock with Taken with Teal ink and then mounted them onto a teal layer of cs. I used some flower soft on them to make them "flocked" and then set that panel aside to construct the rest of the card.

I used my EK wide scallop border punch and some white cardstock for my scalloped border. i layred my patterned paper over the white border and then tied it up with some white satin ribbon. I attached my tree panel with dimensionals and then moved to my sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment with teal ink and punched it out with my word window punch. I used my modern label punch and teal cs for a perfect home...then mounted it on my card.

I hope you have a great day today and enjoy ringing in the new year with your loved ones! I wish you the best of everything in the coming year! Thanks so much for sharing a few minutes with me... appreciate it so much!! Oh, I almost forgot!! I've got some fun news to share with you all tomorrow...please stop by share in the fun!

You're The Best!

Hello friends! Happy Tuesday! I needed a little break from the Christmas cards...I've got them in the mail...YEA! So, I thought I'd share some fun that I found yesterday! I went to Ben Franklin and found some of the new Hero Arts stamps! The sweet lady that worked in the crafting department even gave me one of the new catalogs...fun, fun, fun. So, I picked up a couple of cute little Sparkle Clear sets...this little girl and the You're the Best sentiment are one of the sets. I've got another sample of her for tomorrow...so stay tuned!
I completely LOVE this Amy Butler paper..the colors are fresh and clean and don't really live in the RAIN! I used copic markers to color in my little friend, then cut her out with my oval and oval scalloped nestabilites. I used my apron lace border punch with regal rose cardstock and old olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. My sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink.

We're so happy that today has come, my parents are enroute to our house as we speak...and we are all SO excited for them to join us for Christmas! The magic in the air is so fun....I hope you have a great day!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good afternoon friends! Happy Friday! It is a fun and exciting Friday...the last day of school before Winter Break! My kids are so excited for the upcoming days! Our advent calendars are getting down to just a special few windows to open! We've been baking, wrapping, and really enjoying this December. Speaking of enjoying...I put a Pumpkin Roll...flavor of wax in my wamer...oh my...delicious is all I can say! It's really almost making me speachless! Divinity, that is for sure!

So, here is post to share with you the Birthday Blog Candy I'm offering to one of you, the readers of my little spot of blog! I'm so thankful that you take the time, I appreicate each and every comment you send my way. Thank you for your encouragement and support, it is so nice to have such great friends that I've never even met before! Will any of you be attending CHA in January? I'll be there...and would love to see you face to face if you're going to be there...let me know!
So, just a few of my favorite things. Dimensionals from Stampin' Up!, hello, I used them daily. A sweet Beautiful Little Baby stamp...love the combination of fonts on this one and it comes in handy to have a great baby boy/girl stamp! The Chocolate Chip(my favorite color, as you all know by now) strips you see are all punched with some of my border punches..I'm finding that I LOVE border punches and love growing that library of tools! I've got the Apron Lace, Embossed Curve, a little scalloped scallop, a new MS one that is a deep edge border punch...flower bed it is called, and I think that's it...but there are a some edges of each of these listed. Then, a mix of some of my favorite buttons...a great variety! A couple of little notepads from PTI, I love making altered notebooks. And the last thing is right in the middle of the photo, a little key ring calendar for 2010! I just finshed a couple of gifts--and this little cutie was made from the "left overs"...but let's be honest, I could have 5 calendars in my house and still need a couple more!

I will leave this post up and comments will be allowed until midnight PST Sunday(my actual b.day)! So, feel free to leave a comment(just one per person please) and you will be entered into the fun! I am happy to ship this box of love anywhere...so international readers feel free to play along! Thanks so much for visiting me...getting to be my friends and for sharing in what I love! I made this card for a friend who's husband is staring treament for cancer...the long trips to the hospital have just started and I just wanted to send a little love in the mailbox!

I used So Saffron, Aqua Mist, Chocolate Chip and Kraft paper for my color selection. I used one of my fun new Cuttlebug embossing folders...yummy isn't it!? A few punches and some ribbon...quick and fun! The sentiment is from PTI.

LAD preview!

I know I'm a day late in posting these preview samples, but better late than never right?! I was at the hospital ALL day long yesterday, getting a bone scan done on my foot, and really didn't think it would require so much time! So, here's a couple of samples using some of the new January Mix stamps from LAD. You can see a preview of the whole set here.

Hope you have a great one! I'm feeling like my foot problem has put me a little behind, so I'm running as fast as a person can run with a walking boot on one foot!:) My birthday is coming up this weekend...I think I'm going to get some fun blog candy ready...so stay tuned! I've got more fun to post this week, so see you soon!

Merry Christmas

Good morning and happy Friday! I hope you're all ready for a great weekend...YEA! I'm really ready for a few days "off", so happy when Daddy is home and doesn't have to work!

I just wanted to post a quick little card I made. I needed a quickie and thought I'd grab the Love and Joy Labels stamp set and see what fun we could have! It turns out a lot of fun was had. I used four of the stamps on this card...
The tag is one stamp, inked here with chocolate chip. The tree another stamp, also in chocolate chip, and then the merry and christmas are also two seperate stamps, yes, stamped in chocoalte chip too! I cut the tag out, and mounted it on red cardstock and punched a hole. A bit of red ribbon and a button to boot...and the tag is ready to be colored (with an olive marker) and glitified with red stickles.

I used a chocolate chip card, real red layer #1, chocolate chip dsp for layer #2. I used my apron lace border punch for the fun across the card, under my olive ribbon. I punched some different sized circles, ran them through the big shot in the swiss dots embossing folder, added them to my card and then added my tag with dimensionals.

I think I'm almost done creating Christmas cards..I'm working on some gifts, so here's to the fun!
I hope you have a great weekend...take care and make it great!!

LAD Mix Blog Hop

Good morning friends! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just been a crazy lady!! I went to the foot dr. today and learned that yes, I do have a stress fracture. So, it's back to the big black boot! I had a walking boot just over 2 years ago, right before we moved to Germany, I had to wear the boot for 13 weeks. When the dr. broke the news to me today, I was just a TAD disgruntled about the boot!! The good news is that I haven't had much in the way of pain in my foot this evening...so at least the boot is helping, however bad it bugs me!

So, onto the topic at hand, my post for the LAD Mix Blog Hop! Everyone that is involved in the hop is using a monthly mix set, and any mix will do! Today, my card is featuring a fun little tag from the December Mix. I love it! I also love how this stamp works perfect with the flourish from the Fancy Flourish stamp set!
I filled a glossine bag with some Muddy Buddies...YUM! My belly wrap is a sizzix bag, used on it's side instead of standing up straight. The band is in chocolate chip and then the wrap was done with whisper white. I stamped my flourish with Old Olive ink and then attached it to the band. I used my crop-a-dile to make a hole for my 5/8" Old Olive ribbon.

I stamped my Homemade for the Holidays in old olive ink and then cut the image out and set it aside. I used an embossed scrap of chocolate chip and my wide oval punch to make a perfect little home for my sentiment. I attached the wide oval with dimensionals and the attached the sentiment. The last move on this one was to add some red glitter...lots of little red berries...

I hope you get a chance to take a peek at all the fun samples being posted today!! If you head to the LAD blog, you'll see a listing of who is playing along...DT and customers a like! Be sure to take a peek!!

Have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Silent Night

Good morning friends! Happy Friday! I hope that you've had a great beginning to your December! We've had FREEZING temperatures, and have been waking up to a frosted world....it is so great! It looks like Christmas, but no snow...that's a good thing, here in the Northwest! Tonight is the tree lighting for our little town Christmas tree...so we're in for a good but cold night!

I wanted to share a little image of things I love! This great little natavity from LAD. This is one of the singles for December. Isn't it cute?! I used some MM paper, my MS crown border punch copic markers and nestabilites to help with this card. I also used Beate's WSC 108, from last week for my layout.

I hope you all have a great one!! We're in for some fun today, the eve before St. Nickolas visits! The kids are excited to leave their shoes out for St. Nickolas to fill....if they've been good! It's great to have begun some German traditions while living there, and we definately want to keep them going!! Make it great!!

Make Merry!

Good Morning friends! I have to be super quick today, but wanted to stop by and say hello! I've been running like a crazy lady the past few days...I think today will be a bit more enjoyable and relaxed...I think!
I wanted to share a card a I made for the SCS Product Focus Reveiw that went live today. We were reviewing the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch sets. You can read the reveiws of all the team members here. It was a fun little review, who doesn't like punches!?

I used the Crown border punch on this card. I think I'll add a few more of these great sets to my tool supply...they are so great! If you have any questions, feel free to drop them my way!! Have a great one friends!! Make it great!! See you tomorrow!

For You!

Wow, Happy December friends!! I hope you had a great holiday weekend...to those of you in the states! We had a great time visiting with family...and are just trying to be "settled" again...13 hours in the car is a long drive! I've been up to my armpits...or so it seems...in laundry, Christmas boxes and packing paper! I'm so happy to have the tree all finished! I hope to finish up the rest of the decor today so we can get to our fun December activities! Today was door #1 on the advent calendars for my kids...they were so excited! After living in Germany and having the most incredible advent calendars ever, we are excited to keep with the great tradition! Maybe I'll have them made up in time next year...we'll see!!

I wanted to share this cute little snowman card with you. I love this color combo...very not a regular winter color combo...but I think it's yummy! Pumpkin pie and Rich Razzleberry, very yummy together. The snowman image is from the December Monthly Mix from Lizzie Anne Designs. The flourish is also a Lizzie Anne Desings, the Fanciful Flourishes set.
I hope you all have a wonderful December 1st...make it a great one!!
