Good Morning!

Good morning friends! I hope you are doing well!! I am back after a great week off for Spring Break! My sister's family came up to visit and it was SO much fun having them here! Our kids are all the same ages and they have such a great time together, it makes being with them just super special!!

Today I wanted to share a card I made with some new goodies!! I received several Avery Elle stamps/dies and am having a great time with them!

This card was made using some 1" post it tape--I masked three stripes off and then used some distress ink and blending tool to make my bold yellow/orange stripes. Oh, how I love that bold look!!! And with distress inks...I am loving them more and more, I love the different saturation of color that can so easily be achieved!! So, I masked the stripes off and colored to my hearts content!;)

Next came my Happy...I used a fill in the blank elements die to make my Happy. I started with one die and stamped it with a new Hero Arts background stamp, in versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. I used the same distress ink and blending tool to do the gradient the opposite direction as the card front--dark to light. I layered several happy dies up and then mounted them on some aqua paper...for a nice little pop of color! The birthday sentiment is from the Handwritten Notes stamp set, also Avery Elle. I embossed it with white embossing powder....and it is lovely!! Then the last piece of this card was the bow. It is super shiny and glossy in real life, but I have yet to get a good photo of it!:) It was cut from the Avery Elle Laurels die set and then stamped from the same stamp set. The last thing I did was mount the card front onto the card--with foam tape!
This card will be making it's way into the US postal service this very day...hope the recipient likes it!!

I hope you have a great sunny day!! See you tomorrow for some more new goodie goodness!!

Love the bright and happy colors! Those stripes are amazing. And the bits of aqua are the perfect foil for all the oranges. Great card. Bev
